I made an address sign out of a satellite dish just like the one you had.

over here they grind down the old tires and together with gravel and tar use it to build new road surfaces

I used an old satellite dish bracket on a post to hold a solar panel that feeds a dc fan in my shed. It makes setting the panel tilt for the season super easy. I met a woman who designs mosaic tiles on the dish and turns then into bird baths.
I love the ground cover that is made from recycled tires, unlike others it is pest resistant
Hmmm, little odd they charge for tire disposal, at least here in TX, we pay a disposal fee as part of buying tires... same w/ car batteries. Might be different in FL though. I don't know if you'd get anywhere, but may want to talk to Discount or another tire store if they can take tires for future reference. If you ever run into containers of oil, and don't know this, the auto parts stores will take that; they have recyclers who come empty the huge fire-safe oil container they have in the back. If I was in the area, I could do that scrap metal for y'all, would be a good little bit of extra money. Cool you guys kept the old porch roof metal; I guess if Maverick ever wants to build a clubhouse, he can put a roof on it. >>:=p
We call those dragonflies B-52s! :)
We have a recycling center. Those tires do get recycled. I have brought tons of construction debris to ours. Saves mega $ versus renting a dumpster. They even take styrofoam!

The dragonfly is so cool & pretty. Love your guy's bus btw. Would love to have something like that for if we had or wanted to go somewhere. Can't wait to see the gazebo when it's done. You could build a bird feeder with the dish plate. 🤔🤔🤔. Just thinking about it.

Most tires are being recycled into playground turf nowadays. It's soft to walk on but it does get hot.

I like the ceiling as is , you dont need perfection as its character. Once all done and furnished you wont notice 😊
