For the longest time I watched u guys tear out and reframe windows and I would think..”that looks easy” but wouldn’t try it. Then I finally took a deep breath and did it. With ur videos running for guidance I have to admit that while it was work it was pretty easy. Great teachers and I love the confidence it gives. Nice job on that window by the way.
Wow! That's really neat you had confidence to try it with their videos guiding you. It's true they make things look easy.😊
That is so satisfying . Renewal begins. A very neat clean and efficient window replacement and floor restoration kicks off your new Mobile Home . I hope you feel very good about it ,you certainly should 🎉
Your little boy is absolutely adorable
I did try doing this on my old place bc, at the time, I did not have 2 pennies to rub together. These things did not have a vapor barrier on the outside, and the aluminum siding sweats
Everyone has a surprise moment reaction, some people grunt, some squeal, some jump, it’s all the same. You guys always do a good job. Take care.
Thanks!
You two are the hardest working people I know and you deserve all the success that is coming to you
So nice to see these old mobiles rescued, it will be so comfortable when you are done.
I do believe y’all could build a better mobile home than most manufacturers!❤
Most definitely!
not only the right tool for the job but the right man to do the job as well.
Doug, you are the King of cut it the right size! Seems that you usually cut a board tight enough that it holds itself in place until you screw or nail it in place.
One heck of a difference to what was there to what you replaced it with, looks and sounds so much more sound and will last much longer, great start on your renovation.
❤ I can't wait until you finish the kitchen in your house. I am so looking forward to seeing the metal cabinet and porcelain sink that you restored.
I love your videos! What a great team you two make! I could watch you all all day! Doug, you have to be a master carpenter! You can do it all! Can’t wait for the next video! God Bless your family! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
Thank you! We love that you love our videos and we appreciate the kind words :)
i would feel secure moving into any place doug and ashley have worked on. i know they always do great work on the structure
Wow. Maverick really hit a growth spurt. He'll be taller than Ashley in no time. You do great work Doug. Thanks for the content.
❤❤❤
Now that it’s gutted, it’s amazing that a neglected MH in the Florida climate isn’t in worse condition! Looking forward to this “creation” (y’all do such a beautiful job 👍)
This is a big project. But you two will handle it no problem. This is so exciting!
Window is great and Maverick says bye so cute!
It does my heart good to see a couple sharing their life journey together the way the two of you do, working side by side. 🥰
This is by far one of the superior channels out there! 🙌🏻
Thank you. That means a lot to us.
Doug, it would be great if you did a video on how you gained your carpentry skills from a historical point of view. I’ve seen others mention the same inquiry, and while I know you’ve learned a lot on the job, you obviously have had early experience and I’d love to hear about it. Thank you and Merry Christmas 🎄
If you have watched for a while you will learn you learn from doing, when remodeling you never know what you will run into next. Love all your videos!!
I love your videos and your journey fixing things better than the way you found them. It doesn’t matter if you show all the steps or explain all the work, I’m here to watch whatever parts of your journey you share.
Great job as always !!
Happy Savior's Birthday!
It’s exciting to see the mobile home start to come alive. It’s off to great start. Bye Maverick. 😊
Yea, it's nice to finally start this project and it will help motivate us moving forward. :)
Hi Doug and Ashley. Great job. You are both amazing, and i look forward to seeing this mobile renovation journey. I wish you family and followers a Blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Keep safe and God bless your beautiful family always ❤️ 🙌🎄💐
What precision. Fits like a puzzle every time, wish I could measure as precisely as you do . Wow, 🎉 🎉 🎉
Hi Mav!!! Had to help Dad I see:)) Hi Ashley! The window and all you did looks so good. Can't wait for more. God Bless. Love, Granny
That was really interesting watching you frame up that wall after you tore out all the rotten parts and then putting that window in it looks great guys
I totally agree with you assessment of his work.
We get to see amusing comedy along with serious building...it just doesn't get better than that !!! You should have had Stan clean all the spiders out before you started working ....he seems to be doing a lot of slacking. 😅
Heehee
I'm excited to see what you do with this place
You win some…. You win some…
The squeal 😂 🦎
As always, great job 👏
🌲
i really cant understand when people say why put money into the mobile home , its wasting money??, surely repairing old wood etc, is better than knocking the whole mobile home down, its saving you money in end as your not buying every thing from scratch, please some one explain to me why people always say knock it down. any ways guys awesome job as always hope you all well have great Christmas if you celebrate hugsx
Definitely. Starting over from scratch comes with a lot of extra costs and complications. I think some people are just afraid to invest in a mobile home. And some people just don't have the vision to see the end result. We look at this home and feel inspired.
It seems like every project you undertake is my favorite project. Looks great. I love how you restore things when you can, rather that trash them.
I feel exactly the same way each video. Each renovation is my favorite!😊
First time watcher here. I do most all of my own additions/renovations as well and any time I see a woman helping their husband/boyfriend doing the work, it screams good woman!! My wife helps me with every project I do and has an appreciation for time it takes and labor involved. Good relationships start with each other working together. I commend you!
Looks great!!! You are making steady progress!!! 🥰🎶❤️🎶🇨🇦
Ya win some, and ya win some. Board by board, winder by winder, or window. I'm an ole feller who enjoys watching Doug and his family work their hearts out. God bless each and everyone of His chosen ones.
As usual another great job......Can I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for all the brilliant and informative videos throughout the year and I look forward to many more next year......God Bless.
You have the best show on utube!
I had to go back and watch Doug squeal a second time😁
This mobile home will be like brand new by the time you are done
I be watching enjoying every minute of it. Love your videos.
I would not have thought to strap it, good job .. eew spiders 😅
Can't wait to see the progress on the mobile home. Thanks for the videos.
I'm enjoying it big time! LOL love Maverick with his bye!
You have worked on mobile homes before. You know your stuff!
Since I live in a mobile home this renovation is giving me ideas.... Thanks. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Happy Holidays.
Good job. Bye, Maverick. Love to watch you work. Hope you have a great day.
I can see that this project will be an adventure. And with you guys that means fun, unexpected work-arounds, and beautiful endings!
Great video!
Exactly ❤
Can't wait for all the progress to come!
😂 hahaha , Ashley.."do you have to squeal?" Love you guys!
That old trailer is in such bad shape I can't wait to see the finished product.
You really think of everything. Maverick is really getting tall. Merry Christmas guys. God bless you
When Doug jumped because the lizard jumped on him…I was still in spider mode and jumped too 😂😂😂
I would have squealed too at the spider and then the lizard…..yikes!
Thanks for sharing! The window looks great👍🏻
Clean repair of the rotted wood and great job of the window installation. Bye Maverick!
Maverick will be inspecting all your work ❤
Hi Ashley and Doug, looking forward to seeing you transform this home.
Thank you for teaching us your way. I love to watch your family in action to make beauty out of blight. Hugs
Bye Maverick! 👋
I didn't see Stan today. Guess he took Christmas vacation.😊
You have a son who is interested in restoration, that’s great. Bye Maverick !
Excellent explanations as usual! I enjoy your content! God bless ya'll! I've been watching since you were out in the country (and only long time folks will know what I mean).
Thanks for sticking with us all this time!
Thrilled to see the new project in progress as I have a VERY similar mobile home in need of repair. Being an older novice, I will be following closely. I have watched your older vids also. The difference is, I'm living in mine so, one wall and/or one room at a time. I appreciate learning from you guys.
Living in renovation always makes the job harder. But it can be done!
That you bought this property with the mobile home as junk and you are restoring it... makes your investment smart.
I think it's going to be really nice when you're finished and whoever buys it, in the future, will have a fantastic fresh start.. on a lovely property.
I lived in two older mobile homes in my younger years. I now own three homes. Liquid Nail is your friend.
I laughed so hard when you squealed hilarious if I had seen the spider, I would’ve been gone but then To have a lizard run on your arm. I love you guys. Keep up the good work. Be safe God bless.
The squeal 😂😂😂 I understand Doug lol.
I have to respond to Doug's squal after the big. I would have screamed so loud and ran like a big baby. 🤣 And Lizards aren't my thing either. We had one get in a few weeks ago and I made my husband nuts until he got it outside. I moved furniture so he could get to it.😅 Back to watching
He was just trying to sell Doug Insurance
This will be wonderful when finished. When we bought our "as is" mobile home we quickly closed up or replace the jalousie windows in an end room. They wouldn't even close completely, and that just wasn't good for the heating/cooling bill! We got vinyl double paned, and then over the next couple of years replaced more, including ones in the main living area. What a HUGE difference in our bills, comfort level, and lack of outside noise! Soon we'll hit our 10th anniversary of buying it, and we're still very happy. However, you've taught us a lot, and if it comes time to redo some things, I'm sure we will be remembering how to do some things a lot better.
Yea, those jalousie windows are so prone to failing. I don't think I've ever seen one that works properly. We call them "JeLousy" windows, haha.
Fantastic!! Love every step of the process. Your explanations are so on point and I have learned so much from watching your channel. Thanks for sharing your journey with me!
It's amazing how one new window makes a difference! Love it and love the black!
Good Morning Doug Ashley Belle & Maverick, this mobile home will be nice when you are finished.I so enjoy each & every video.Wishing your family a happy holiday.Bye Maverick!🙋🏼
As I continue to watch Ashley and Doug work on projects together, I hope they have many, many satisfying moments and projects. Have loved watching the channel and seeing Bell and Maverick growing with experience providing by their parents. Have a Happy New Year. 🐉🐉🚙🚘🚘🚘😊
Great beginning. Your future tenant is going to have a lovely home!
Great video- going to be so much fun watching you put this home back together. ❤️😁
Hi Doug and Ashley. You are doing a great job on the Trailer. Can't wait to see it all finished. You are a Great Jack of all Trades. You do amazing work. Take care and God Bless.
Hi, and thank you!
OK - here we go! 1 done, next! I'm sure you'll have them all in soon, you're pretty efficient; it will be like an assembly line.
Hi Doug and Ashley! Great job on the window installation! Through the years, you've remodeled other trailers and done a fabulous job! I'm really excited to see what you come up with this one!!!!!❤😊
Can’t wait to see what all y’all do with this one. Just love the work y’all do.
Doug is so accurate with his cuts when scabbing in all those pieces.
I like how Angie is quality control.
Her name is Ashley.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Great job guys.
Thanks for sharing your process. I am fascinated with watching you rebuild this mobile home. Keep Doing You !🌻🌵🎶
Love watching you work. Love seeing the quality work you do. Refreshing.
I redid the seals of my windows and the corners in 2018 I believe. Yes butyl tape on the windows is best. With mine bc of the orientation of the aluminum and the pattern some areas I had to double up butyl tape. I think used ProFlex RV sealant on top of that, then I primed and painted the exterior, including on top of any caulk. It has held up great in all the MT weather I’ve been in it. The corners I used Dicor Corner Seal Tape, then Butyl Tape. Then caulked the edges of the trim and over every screw head too! I wanted to make extra sure that I wouldn’t have to deal with rot again!
Love your attention to detail. Merry Christmas from our home to yours. 😊
Have a wonderful Christmas and New year x
Great content again! You are willing to tackle seemingly impossible projects and your problem solving skills are impressive to watch. Most would not take on a lot of what you do. Ashley, you are such a valuable asset! Another set of eyes, hands and valued opinions. You are there every step, nail and screw along the way. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I think y'all do fantastic work, no matter what you're working on.
Another great video. I like it that you don't cut corners. I always look forward to your next video.
Your wife is the best helper ever.👏👏👏. Awesome team. I'm sure your Christmas table will be the place to celebrate your holidays.
You both did an awesome job fixing the floor, wall and window. Looks so much better.
Y'all are wonderful . I really admire you and your work ethic.....hugs ❤
The new windows are lovely! Great color choice. They will definitely be a nice ROI. If I didn't live in an area prone to tornadoes I would consider a portable/mobile office building as a creative space on my property. It's wired, usually has a halfbath and I could add a heat-pump. Of course then I recall Ashley and Doug's gazebos and how that would add a nice outdoor sitting area. So many great ideas start with this channel!
Doug sacrificed a spider to the mobile home rebuilding gods. 🕷️
😂 LOL! The lizard spider. I needed the laugh. Thanx so much!!
You make things look very easy to fix. The window turned out very well.😊
I found a small lizard under a stone at the vegetable garden so put him at the near ditch .So first window in well done , thanks for sharing and have a Merry Christmas 🎄⛄⛄🎄
Great show! Very informative 👍
The window looks great!
Another great job! Merry Christmas and to everyone, remember the reason for the season!
Thanks for sharing your talents. What a wonderful family.
This has been so interesting to watch, My first home I actually owned years ago was a mobile home. We lived in there with my oldest. I so appreciate the little things that you do. That can benefit water or condensation on the window. We live in Minnesota. And yes, we battled condensation on our windows. When I lived in my mobile home. It originally had been a model home There was a family that owned it before. It was 14 by 68. It was 3 bedrooms and our laundry room was in the bathroom. I have family members that raised 4 children in their mobile home single wide. In fact, that family member grew up in a mobile home where they took 2 mobile homes side by side and put a hallway between and they raised 8 children in it. But I was showing my oldest today since he was the one that lived in the mobile home when he was really young, He watched you put in the window and see the sides were just tin and insulation. Doug, you and Ashley, what you do again amazes me. I'm watching this just a few days before Christmas. So I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I'm not sure how you celebrate it. But I just want to say you're very much appreciated. And we rally with you every step that you do. Your home is absolutely beautiful.❤
Looks great. Sending Merry Christmas wishes to y'all. Have an amazing and Blessed day.
