- Durango RT intake pipe install and test video. Bought a cheaper intake off of eBay, who not.. it’s just a pipe for cool sounds. I’m happy with the results for less than HALF the money of a brand name pipe! Thanks for checking out the video.

Nice video. Nice ride. Cant wait to install one on my 2015 Citadel ! Thanks
Dave MacInnis thank you!! I recently Powdercoated the Intake neon yellow lol

@@LouieAWDTSi I dig it bro. Looks slick
@@davidchristopher420 thanks!!
I got the same one on my 2013 RT. Love the sound of that hemi. It's quiet under normal driving, and once you get it in revs it sounds like it has a split personality.
I couldn’t agree more!! It’s worth every penny and looks better then some of the pricey ones!
Very nice mine comes in Thurs
Awesome! Fun noise makers 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I bought the same one on amazon. I got the black couplers and black filter, I made the factory air inlet from the stock air box work needs to be trimmed to fit. And I bought a heat sheild (25$ amazon) that goes on top of the filter to keep the rain out cause of the hole in the hood.
Awesome! If I decide to get that hood I would def do the same for sure! I ended up putting better couplers on and I changed the color of the pipe too. It’s a great bang for the buck intake for sure! Thanks for watching.

Mark Pacheco Any pics?
Can you send me a link? I have a 2019 rt and i wanted to know if rain would hurt with no cover ..thanks
Hey bro, what heat shield did you get specifically?
one question my guy i have the same durango its just im wondering if u can clean the engine bay with water because im lowkey scared of the fuze box getting wet so i just wanted to see if i can?
No
I was expecting more noise I don't gas it much so not much point. I was considering doing a muffler delete on the durango or upgrading the exhaust.
Yeah.. I drive mine pretty easy so really it’s just when you are getting on it you notice it.
I also towed my eagle talon to Ohio and back and noticed it a lot up and down the pa mountains. Sounded great lol
I will probably do the blastin bob rear resonator delete I think.
Do hear the Throttlebody, Meaning the “sucking noise”? I can’t seam to notice a difference with sound... I mean... it could be cause my exhaust is super loud.. but still..
Black Stone Dragon yup, motor is louder when going full throttle for sure! Probably not as noticeable with a loud exhaust though lol
How did you take out the air charge sensor?
Turn a twist carefully. It’s a pain because it’s brittle. Mine had a chip in it so I ordered another one to replace for a piece of mind.
I couldn’t find your cold air intake. Do you think they still sell it?
If you type “durango 5.7 intake” on eBay you’ll see a bunch pop up. One is super cheaper at 69.99 but the pipe isn’t as big. It uses a bigger coupler instead.
The one I used is basically the same as this. It went up since I bought it. I also ended up upgrading the filter, clamps, and couplers down the road. I still kept it all under $200

What’s brand of intake?
Blake Turner eBay.. not sure of exact brand but.. I’m pretty sure I shared the pic of the sale add in the video
Does it sound better....before and after??
Sounds louder, more v8 sound as you open the throttle/give it gas. Sounds the same during normal cruising.
@@LouieAWDTSi Now simply put an axelback on it. Theyre cheap and arent obnoxiously loud, like full catback systems. The sound will be much better than this. Just do it, thank me later
Kevin Arrowood it might have to happen. We will see if it in my budget after going e85 on my turbo Talon this winter.
In reality doing this is a downgrade. The big plastic box in front of the TB acts as a muffler the the factory air box will supply cooler air. Perhaps just replacing the pipe from the TB to the air box might show a gain but nothing worth the trouble. Also those metal pipes will get hot plastic will also but not nearly as bad and hot air is bad for power.
I pretty much agree. It’s just for fun noises to be honest. I put better clamps and filter on it since. I also powdercoated the pipe a fun neon color lol
Why would you buy this POS intake? The factory one is likely better than this.
It’s a pipe just like every other intake on the market. They are all just noise makers and that’s the reason I wanted one. Simple as that… but I wasn’t paying $300 for a noise maker. I added a better filter and clamps/couplers.
@@LouieAWDTSi noise makers? Wtf are you talking about? An air intake should not be making enough noise to be called a “noise maker”. If it is, it’s because it’s designed poorly.
@@LiquidCouncil putting an intake pipe on a car will make a car a bit louder during acceleration whether it’s a corvette or a Saturn .. relax yourself and don’t be so angry
@@LouieAWDTSi This is the dumbest comment I have read on the internet. Take your dude science back to the highschool
@@LouieAWDTSi I got a Durango with a k&N intake and it sounds dope. It makes a big veichicle a lil more fun to drive.
