This is why I went with the AFE CAI for my '21 Durango RT, Tow N Go. It fits perfect, OEM-like replacement, it's 100% enclosed so you don't need a rain shield for the hood. That's the last thing I want is to block a vent where heat can escape or cold air to come in..... But great DIY video!

We bought 2017 RT a few months ago. The filter needs cleaned so I am looking at videos to see just what we have under the hood. It is the same thing you are installing.

Nice video. I just noticed at the end. How do you get your running lights to stay on yellow like that? I just got a 2022 Durango RT. Looks sick. Also I'm thinking about getting the AFE Momentum GT Cold Air Intake. That one says it's fine with the SRT hood. Quick question. Do you think it's worth the money? I'll also pay someone to install in since I don't trust myself to do it properly. LOL.. On paper the gains look great I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on real world driving. Like do you feel the difference. In your opinion is it worth the upgrade? Thanks and subbed!

Hey so the orange LED's are enabled using a module called the tazer. I did a video on it for my truck.

I do like the AFE, the quality of the intake is pretty good. There is not a huge amount of power that's gained from it. However the sound of it is pretty awesome. I would say it's worth it getting the intake!
Don't doubt yourself, just take your time when installing it!
      Thanks for the sub 😊

Has the Durango had a CEL since the install?

Awesome dude, so the JLT felt a bit cheap compared to the AFE on the TRX. I have no complaints about the JLT, but if it's the same price as the AFE. I would likely go the AFE route!

Did the "rain deflector" and water separator come.with the intake?

The rain deflector for the hood came with the kit, the water shield did not. I think it was about $25 Canadian funds from Amazon.

You got a link to the hood deflector?
