Thank you ever so much Michael!!!!
Missing Jeff and his content! I have toured on a dozen different motorcycles, from 250's to 1700cc. My "Ultra-light Touring" Meteor 350 is outfitted with hand guards, heated grips, panniers, rear rack and Givi top case. I recently upgraded the tires to Continental 80/20 RADIALS for better ride on the highway and gravel roads! (I consider tubeless tires a REQUIREMENT for long-distance touring!) This is an excellent touring bike, comfortable and economical. More smiles per mile, and more miles per dollar than any other bike I've owned. Stay tuned for a ride report to the Black Hills!
I was finally able to test ride the Meteor 350 a few weeks ago and I can say I was impressed. I don’t know why, but I assumed it was going to be just another Honda Rebel type of bike. It’s not even close. The Meteor is a much larger bike and way more comfortable. Even the stock seat was nice. I’m 6’2” and I was not cramped. I actually liked the mid-forward foot pegs. They made the rider triangle even more enjoyable. I can see what all the hype is about on this bike.
I went to a motorcycle dealer in January with the intent to buy a used, but nearly new Honda Rebel that they had on hand. The dealership sold Royal Enfield and I really liked the look of the yellow Meteor. The test ride was the clincher for me. I was not at all comfortable on the Rebel but the Meteor fit me perfectly. I'm 5'6". It's interesting that the same bike fits a 6'2" guy and 5'6" so well!
@@astro61362 Congrats on the new bike! Yeah, it surprised me to how I fit on this “smaller” bike.
I have my Meteor outfitted with hand guards, heated grips, panniers, rear rack and Givi top case. Just an excellent touring bike. Comfortable and economical. More smiles per mile, and more miles per dollar than any other bike I've owned.
Thank you for showing us your lovely part of Ohio. Very pretty scenery and no traffic! I have bought a 12 month old Meteor done just 730 miles so ideal for a 70 year old returning to biking after a gap of 20 years. I agree with your comments about the Meteor too. Keep posting. Kind regards from UK.
Thank you Anthony and welcome to the channel
My Meteor is the best feeling i had on a motorcycle.
Now, i love to drive slowly, not more 100kph, and it's so nimble, with a touring feeling, easy mechanic, and smooth modern motor.
Perfect balance for a long relationship, and a daily better life :)
Just passed tthe 5000 mile mark on my Meteor yesterday too, not bad considering I was unable to ride for 4 months this year due to a torn rotator cuff. Just a shout out for the DNA High Performance Air Filter & High Flow Intake Plate I put on it in February really, breathes much more easily now and doesn't seem to run out of steam as much and has a cracking intake roar when you open it up as a bonus.. very pleased with it!
Awesomeness
Another spot-on Meteor review Jeff. I can't think of a better way to enjoy Fall colors than on a bike and the Meteor is a perfect mount. Just passed the 5000-mile mark on mine. No problems whatsoever. They are addictive! Take care!
Very nice scenery, enjoyed it a lot. Thanks
This channel is just chock full of solid moto-entertainment. I don't know how many videos I've watched so far. I especially liked the Meteor 350 Ultra Light Touring one with the basket building ("WHAT?!" Cracks me up every time.). Thanks, Ronin!
Always enjoy your videos. I live in central Florida so I'll be looking forward to the videos of your trip in February.
Love this video. Have watched it 3 times. Difficult to throughly watch during live chat. Spot on with gorgeous roads. Meteor looks touring worthy for sure. Long Ride sure have captured the essence .
Thanks for another great RE video. I love the look of the meteor. Indian Summer is my favorite time of year, and it looks lovely where you guys are. I REALLY wish we had an RE dealer nearby. :)
Excellent video and beautiful landscapes, greetings from Argentina
I picked up my RE meteor supernova yesterday. Your videos definitely helped me make that decision - Thank you. Those roads are beautiful, definitely gets my mind dreaming about riding!
Great video on the Meteor.
Just wanted to let you know that your piece on the Longride luggage was very helpful. They have luggage racks for my V7 Moto Guzzi. So I bought them and they are great.
My wife rides a 2018 Himalayan and loves it. She found your channel and we have been watching it for a while.
We live in north Florida, Williston, and would love to meet you when you are down here.
Take Care. Bruce & Tina Engstrom
Great video as always with some very cool scenery. Keep those miles of smiles coming and stay safe. I look forward to the next video.
Thanks Dennis
Great review on the bike!
Yeah, it's always a pleasant surprise to find a good espresso shop in small towns.
What great roads and scenery you have over there. They are such an enjoyable bike to ride.
Enjoy watching and hearing from you.
Thank you ever so much Michael Cheers
Beautiful scenery, gr8 little bike. Man, those panniers were made for that bike, gt8 videos Ronin, always enjoy watching them from here in the UK 👍👀😁
Thank you Justin
Hi. Just love your Royal Enfield reviews. Happy to see our RE cruise on U.S. roads. Best wishes.
Thank you my friend. I appreciate the comment. Cheers
Beautiful bike, beautiful ride. 😍
You are so lucky guy. We do not have got many or not even any roads like this where I live - in Innsbruck, in the middle of the alps.
Danke! Thank you for showing us that this little bike is capable to ride long distances. I'm planning a tour from the middle of germany to the north cape, which is a roundabout 7000km ride. Here in germany/europe you can't find these information. Thank you again and much fun riding a meteor.
I went the vintage route I have leather messenger bags that I use for saddle bags from trip machine on my intersepter
Colours look fabulous Ronin. Never been to Ohio (Been in i think it is 26, not bad for a Limey) but it is definitely on my list the next time i cross the pond. Keep the content coming it makes smile each time i watch.
I meant to say states...
❤my Meteor!
Yeah, I know what you mean about „Winter is coming“. I can probably count the number of riding days I have left until Spring `23 on one hand 😕
The long and winding road, you find it hard in my home country, the Netherlands.
Nice video.
Ditto on the muffin and River Road. I usually get a morning ride to the Grandville store during my off days. 😎
Wow!
Really enjoy your videos and appreciate the work you put in them.
I'm getting older and considering downsizing from my Road Star. I've got 2 questions about the RE 350s..
Does the small wind deflector help, for those of us who use 1/2 helmets?
How do you think these bikes would do on the NC/SC sections of the Blueridge Parkway?
Thanks!
Respects!!!!
You mentioned that the top speed is limited. The reason for a sprocket change, I’ve done both, is to drop the rpm at cruise and also to get across the intersection before you need to upshift. The top speed remains the same. That can only be changed by software changes.
I’ve been exploring my local roads. Finding a lot of dead ends but that just means get to enjoy the road twice 😊
I love beignets! I had my first ones at Café du Monde in New Orleans. They coat them in a powdered sugar that seeks out any dark clothes you may be wearing! Does your food truck have an espresso machine?
which is why I said guys try. ;) Its perfect the way it is for this old man
Yeah we gotta figure out that software thing. I don't like someone trying to save me from myself
Where did you get the new sprocket from?
@@dannyward959 Hitchcock’s
@@GrampsD63 It is not trying to save you from yourself but it is trying to save the engine from riding too long at too high revs. The engine won't stand it. That's officially stated by Royal Enfield. So if you like to destroy this beautiful bike, go and change the software.
Why not buying another bike beforehand, if you do not like the Meteor's specs?
Nice roads, I am enjoying watching you riding them, sorry for other limited comment but had some issues with writing comment, anyway one other advantage of the Meteor is that you won't get much speeding tickets which add to fuel economy, that makes it a great economical cruising bike.
Missed this somehow.
Awesome ride Jeff, loved the colours, the sound of the bike; great roads; motorcycling utopia man; oh aye, the banter too.
Ride safe.
Neil
banter is what I do lol
@@OlManRonin and you do it so well Jeff🤪🏍👍🍻
Those roads looks like some roads here in the south of Brazil. Hugs bro 🇧🇷
Super Meteor is coming !! Amazing news
G'day Ronin from Australia, that state you ride in is so colourful and vibrant, if l was riding through that countryside I wouldn't want to speed past, your 350 setup is epic looking, great to see your in you element with Ironlady, no love or like for my last comment made on the last show, sorry if I said something wrong,, cheers Brother and LoL to the family, cheers mate, Biker Neil 🤠.
Lol No Neil I am catching up on comments
@@OlManRonin all good brother it came through, bad thunderstorms and lightning stuffing up the internet, the noise is like a war zone, glad your having a indian summer, I'll swap, LoL, Neil 🤠.
Awesome dude.... nice place and nice review of the bike. how comfortable is for pillion rider?
💪🏼 from Italy
Well I gotta say you are correct about these bikes and the West Coast. I live in SoCal and just picked up my Chrome Bronze C 350 2 days ago. It is virtually impossible to stick with the break in schedule outlined in the Owner's Manual. All of our streets out here have a speed limit of between 40-50 mph and I was fearing for my life on the way home frome the dealer. The sales guy said quite a few new owners just hopped on the freeway on their ride home doing 65mph, or trying to, right outta the gate. It will be interesting to see how these motors hold up. Enjoy those slow rambling roads you got out there.
I bought a new Sportster 1200 in 1995 and jumped straight on the NYS thruway and drove 35 miles at 70 mph. I sold it still running perfectly with 50k miles
I need to add that luggage rack to my Fireball yellow
Reminds me of the Honda CL350 that I had back in 1974…
Two Enfield's meteor's 2022 and 2023..when you come to central FL, lets do an OMR ride along.
Roads are extremely beautiful. Lucky you. Love from India.
Thank you Rohit
I love the deciduous woodland in the fall! We don't get this here in New Zealand because our native trees are evergreen. But our roads are WAY twistier than yours.
I like your attitude regarding riding & cruising.
Great Video as always. I am in process of making my classic 500 touring capable, but there are moments when I have thought I should have gotten either the new meteor or new classic 350. They appear to be a bit more reliable
They are definitely smoother. J Series engine is awesome
Miss your videos! More Himalayan vids please
I like the bag but I dont think I could ever cover that beautiful tank whatever their funky name they call the paint scheme they make the coolest bikes
How do you get on the bike of the duffle are stacked?
Ol man, you mentioned at some point that your wanted to raise the handlebar or change it. Did you find anything good for it?
You can't beat a well set-up Norton Navigator Deluxe with electronic ignition, the lightweight, Norton handling - good for 85 MPH for an ultralight - 340 lbs.
Love the channel! I’m a fellow Buckeye - would love to join you on a ride sometime! I’m new to your channel but saw a link to the Powertronics Pro - have you done a video analyzing its performance? Thx!!
Welcome to the channel. No i haven't installed it as of yet. Winter project ;)
@@OlManRonin I just got a Classic 350 and am considering it as well. Love the bike!! So much easier to ride and handle than my big touring bikes. Looking forward to seeing the Meteor with the V-twin.
After watching your channel and researching, I picked up a meteor 350 2 weeks ago for my daily commute to work 40 miles each way back roads it tumps along at 60 miles an hour without a hiccup 600miles and counting
Has anybody changed out the front 15 tooth sprocket to a 16 to sprocket ? If so, what was the part number?
if you have limited funds, will you go with meteor 350 or super meteor 650?
I'm looking for a bike to comfortably travel 180 - 200 miles on back roads. I'm looking hard at the Himalayan but now the Meteor is looking good.
Hi Ronin! I've been searching for a video on the fuel x pro for this bike.
Did you ever install/ review it on your meteor? if so please tell me which video so I can watch!
Can't seem to find any honest longish term review on the fuelx for the meteor, Thanks in advance!
no I bought one, but I decided not to put it on.
I can see lite touring... weekend jaunts ... but for longer distant adventures... questionable. If you're retired and have time... distant may not be an issue. I'm retired... but not ready to " step down " to a 350..... perhaps someday... but for now I have a Classic 500 with Cozy sidecar ( 3 wheel fun ) and a 650 RE... in Ravishing Red ! 😎
Ride what you love
How's it going brother? Just wondering if you are ok . Haven't seen any of your new videos for a year .
If you haven’t heard yet ol Man passed away around Nov 2023
I like your video's, thanks. Do you think the Yamaha SR400 is in the same class as the Meteor.
Well now that they are out of production, the Meteor offers a current choice. The SR400 was a great bike, but are gone now.
Great video! Just a word of warning when using a magnetic tank bag, don't throw your wallet in there if it contains cards with a magnetic strip (chips are ok) The powerful magnets will wipe the strip. I'm from Ireland and l was left stranded in
orthumberland, England with no working card and very little cash...
Great tip for guys who don't use chain wallets
Ronin I took a 4 hour trip yesterday up to northern AZ on a Kawasaki Z400. My bottom was hurting after that! So I’ve been pondering a more comfortable bike for longer distance riding. Do you find this comfortable for a few hours stretch of riding? I’ve been rallying eyeing up the Meteor, Classic 350 and Scram
Of what you listed the Meteor 350 wins hands down
What's the name of the luggage you have on the bike?
Do you think a meteor 350 would handle a sidecar ok?
Hey, there is no sound till about 3 minute mark. Is that intentional or purely regional or my own issue? I dunno.
hmmm no issues Ive heard of?
Just wanted to know whether Meteor 350 is good enough InterContinental 30,000km ride? I'm planning one but am unable to decide on any bike... Your suggestion will be highly appreciated. I was eyeing KTM 390, Versys 650 and Himalayan 411.
Love from India
I have classic 350.bullet 500 and himalayan 411.fantastic moter bikes better than suzuki dl 1000.
Hi guys I need some advice, I’m originally from PA but have moved to west Texas and love it out here. Speed limits are radically different where if your not doing at least 60-65 you’re going to get run over. Outside of the city speed limits are like 75-80. I rode a meteor and really liked it but I’m just wondering if it’s enough to go outside of the city without being in danger. I’m also 6’2 250 ish so I’m not small I’m just wondering if I would have that engine WOT the whole time, thanks!
Great question and the answer is simple. The 350's aren't made for highways. I suggest you try the INT650 and see if it fits your riding style
@@OlManRonin that was my first bike and I hated the riders triangle, loved the looks but I couldn’t do more than like a half hour on that bike without being in pain. Love your channel Ronin I have to catch up on your videos!
@@maltnhopz515 i understand. Sorry at the moment that's all there really is for speeds over 75mph
Wait for the meteor 650 . It's gonna be in the USA around July
When will you ride the Super Meteor 650?? C'mon Ol'man we're waiting

I keep waffling between the Classic, Meteor, and Himalayan. They’re all so “snazzy”.
lol yes they are. Ride each on numerous times and make a list
Well, I’m not sure what to think. I pretty much had decided on a classic 350 pending a test ride, but after watching this video, I’m not sure. I almost didn’t watch it because I didn’t want my mind clouded with a meteor.
Oh well, there are worse things to have to think about!
Again it depends on what you want the bike to do. The Meteor is a cruiser and is perfect for long rides. The Classic is British Standard and makes a great everyday bike, but the IN vs ON is really what makes the difference. Since I now have both, I would only take the Meteor on long rides and 2-ups
@@OlManRonin Circumstances now limit my rides to short adventures, usually 150 miles or less. I have little need for much in the way of luggage so I suspect the Classic would be fine for a day-long ride right?
@@ScooterintheSticks true and Long Ride is bringing out there SK mounts in a couple weeks.
Hey hey keep ya cards away from those luggage magnets
90mpg on a US gallon, over 100mpg on a UK gallon!
I can imagine touring two up with luggage having the bike screaming flat out I don't think that would be so enjoyable. I would also be worried about having the bike running at Full Throttle for hours at a time.
Imaginations are most times wrong
You on a hard mission to convince the Americans that you can tour with something smaller than an ElectraGlide, when even Sportsters have the reputation to be not big and fast enough to use the highway…😇😂
This said I travel with my Sportster on the German Autobahn with around 80-100mph all day…
Having a lot of Enfield friends here in Germany, I really love the Meteor and Classic 350 for its capabilities to ride even two-up on longer trips without compromising the comfort and 60-65 is even on the German Autobahn fast enough to overtake trucks, which are limited to 55mph.
I really never intend to convince anyone of anything, just entertain with my personal experiences.
Nice Ohio scenery, but wait a few months and then ...
