New rider here. Just turned 40 and purchased a Meteor this past weekend for my "mid-life crisis" present. Glad to see that it's a fun bike with a smooth ride. I sat on it at the dealer and just knew that it was a great fit for me. Looking forward to cruising around horse country back roads here in central KY.
Congratulations and welcome to the channel!
RE motorcycles are brill, you dont need big cc bikes to have fun on..i posted previously, but i just love riding Royal Enfield, they have so much character you just fall in love with them 😁
@@munta1967 You are right l have Three of them and are sure l would have to have the 350 if I test rode one I am 65 and they feel like old school bikes
several former triumph uk top designers etc.now work for royal enfield at their new facility in leicestershire uk. i am 72 and my local dealer has ordered me a brown super nova the same as yours.very excited approx 6 weeks.
7-8 years ago I was a kid. I did not look at affordability like I do now. I have a 2020 skidoo grand touring 600ace 4 stroke, and a 21 RE meteor stellar red. Both of those toys make being able to ride them affordable.
People tell me that they are under powered and they would drive something faster. The savings on fuel make it so I can enjoy them more. Especially my sled. But at $5.09 a gallon in Maine, my bike is essentially free. I just have to use it.
Man, it's good to see you cruise, especially on Meteor 350 🇮🇳
About to pull the trigger on a Supernova Blue. I'm also an experienced rider but fell in love with this little guy!
9:49. The price on any of the RE bikes is pretty incredible compared to just about any bike on the market these days. In Ontario, I could insure a Meteor and a Himalayan for the same price as my HD heritage classic…
yeah i agree..in the UK , I have fully comprehensive insurance with protected no claims, in Canada all inclusive? at 55yrs with over 13 yrs of no claims £80/$137 Canadian per year with no excess to pay per claim..its chicken feed compared to my 2018 R1200GS (£235/$402 Canadian per year with £300/$515 i had to pay upfront per claim) that i sold for a new 2021 RE 'Himalayan' 🤣
OMR, I went for a long ride today; I did some spirited riding (2 or 3 top speed runs, among other things); and I got 69 mpg when I filled up. I think if I backed it off a bit, I could easily crack 70 mpg.
Oh and BTW, the Meteor will run on REGULAR GAS! The book calls for 91 RON, which equates to 87 AKI here; us being the US, we have to do things differently here, of course! Our anti knock index averages both RON & MON; on our pumps, you'll see something like AKI=87 or what ever computed by the (R+M)/2 method. 91 RON is equivalent to 87 octane, aka regular, here. That makes sense, since the Meteor's compression ratio is a regular friendly 9.5/1.
I don't know what the gas prices are in OH, but where I am, regular is more than $0.50/gallon CHEAPER than premium or super! If you run the tank down to reserve (i.e. the last bar of the fuel guage), then you're looking at saving more than $1.50 per fill up. That adds up over time.
GAs is TOO HIGH here in Ohio, But I learned long ago to burn the same octane consistently. Easier on the plugs and just like a diet, the consistency makes for smooth operations. Run what works for you.
I just bought mine a few weeks ago and already put the first 500 miles on it and had its first service. Love it, it's a black Stellar.
Those are beautiful! Congratulations and thank you for watching and subscribing
Thanks for the video and I'm happy to learn how well the Meteor does riding two up. I agree that this is a really good bike as I own one myself. I am so happy I purchased this bike. I think that being a long stroker, it is quite unique in today's marketplace. So far, for me, the Meteor has no negative issues. Just a side note. I also ordered the same HWK jacket you did a review of, from Amazon, as they have it on sale for an additional 10% off. I appreciate your helpful info!
Ohhh!! I've missed that premier again! But I wanna say thanks for this stuff Sir! And as I mentioned in earlier video, keep posting cause you're going to smash youtube in terms of popularity Sir!
Amazing video!!!
Here's my request- Kindly review RE Classic 350 2021 Edition if possible and I'm sure you'd enjoy that one more than this machine!!
Anyone can like my request if you wanna see RE Classic 350 2021 Edition review !!!
As soon as they get here in the US. Estimates are spring 2022
@@OlManRonin Long time but can't wait to watch!!
Great video and great CZcams channel.👍 The selected points are great. I can confirm all of that. Best greetings from Germany
Thank you so much Ro
Thanks for an honest and informative vid on the meteor. I have ridden the 650 interceptor and India is producing a quality motorcycle.
Great commentary picking up my supernova brown tmrw
Congrats Zach. email me a pic of you and your bike for sub shout out
Great video as always :) Nice goggles/eyewear to :)
Excelent 350 congratulations
For decades R.E's have been a great deal in India.
Nice video. This definitely looks like a fun little bike.
9:47 Thanks for the chance!

Love your videos ! ;-))
Love the video and your positive attitude, I have a Meteor on order here in the UK....still waiting for a call from the dealer.
Congrats Fed!!!
Terrific review. I'm torn between a meteor and a himalayan. Any bike that puts a smile on its rider is an awesome bike in my book.
Classic is coming and a 650 or 750 cc cruiser is coming.
I thought I wanted a Hima as a 2nd bike, & then I saw this vid...now, the Meteor is also a possibility. Different missions, but like them both, & don't have room for a 3rd...
Great video, thanks. 👍
thanks for watching Kai
❤. It does everything you may need to get things done.
Great video sir. Informative and highly enjoyable. Love your approach to bikes being about the love of riding not focused on the typical 150 mph with hair on fire attitude. Thanks and ride like you’re invisible.
thank you
"Did you see this?" at 9:53 mark. Oh, another superb presentation. Have a great week ahead!
Yep entered now send me an email thanks again for watching and subscribing
Nice video, Sir
Hope RE comes up with slightly bigger version for two to be able to tour US, in the lines of Goldwing.
Great video. I’ve just sold my Himmie & bought another one. I’ve had a test ride on the Meteor & totally agree with your top 5. It’s a great bike and I was really torn between the Himalyan & Meteor. Himmie cargo capacity just shaded it for me.
Details please! What made the case to upgrade? I'm assuming BS4 to BS6..
@@sscbkr48 without sounding big headed , cos I could afford to!! Just fancied another new bike with warranty & I just love the Himmie
Glad you're liking the bike. Looking forward to test riding one soon... And 9:50 for the Maxx Eyewear logo. 😉🍻

It’s a great little bike, affordable and quality is getting up there. Great video, well done
Thank you
wouldn't surprise me if the Meteor got 85-90 mpg, my Himi is averaging around 77-79, and that is riding it harder than usual on my last couple tanks of gas....I could probably squeeze a few more out of it riding her more conservatively....around 300 miles for 12 bucks of premium non ethanol gasoline....can't beat that.....LOL
A 21hp bike at 35 -50mph will normally get 90mpg or 110mpg-imperial.
This is basically the older Honda Rebel 250 20hp (high rev) in a twin, except the frame is broader and the 350 is a single with mild HP (low rev).
The Rebel250 and CB250 got 90+ mpg in normal use.
This is not for 70 all day, which us how the mileage is calculated
I bought a Stellar today. Will pick it up soon. Thank Ronin!!!.......Sal : )
congratulations Sal
Love the looks, wish it was a 650 thumper but for the price it's perfect
I think that this bike really is an echo of "You meet the nicest people on a Honda", You have nothing to prove, and aren't trying to keep up with the Joneses, or Ninjas. You just enjoy the ride.
Truth
I ride the same style of roads here in Europe. I love going on big multiday trips through several countries. I am thinking about getting a Meteor as I love the looks and seating position, will trade in my 2016 NC750XD. There is just someyhing about small hp bikes, I have fond memories of the 1000+ mile trips I made on my 110cc 8hp Honda...
That's awesome, when you get it, take a photo and email it to me for subscriber shout out! Cheers
good day friend, I'm waiting for mine, a meteor 350 yellow fireball a hug from Colombia your channel is very good blessings
Thank you Oscar!!
Hi Jeff, really enjoying your Meteor series. I bought a new INT 650 in March of '20. Love it so much I bought a new Fireball yellow Meteor in August. My first tankful running it super gentle per the break in procedure it got 95 mpg. I'm next door in IN so that's US gallons. Incredible! RE's on a roll and I like rollin' with them. Agree totally with your top 5. First bike I've owned in 25 years that didn't cause hand and finger numbness. Wonderful handling bike. Gobs of usable low/mid torque. Exceptionally slick gearbox. Super fun to ride! Perfect bike for in town and country roads. Take care and btw I just subscribed.
The slick gearbox! Yes with the heel-kicker! czcams.com/video/rDAke3QqzQo/video.html
Why buy a meteor when you just bought a Interceptor! Having both, which do you prefer?
@@sscbkr48 Just crazy I guess John! I was looking for a single when I first saw the INT650 and fell for it hard. I also have a couple of other bikes as well. The Meteor and INT are very different bikes. Meteor: over 82 mpg, very comfortable riding position, handles a bit better than the INT, INT650: easier to maintain, cruises smoothly and effortlessly at 80 mph, iconic 'British twin' looks. Like both bikes but because of it's versatility I prefer the INT 650. My INT is the black tank 'Mark Three' paint scheme btw.
90mpg (US) is 108mpg (UK).
Royal enfield was made in Chennai (India)
Nice Vid Ronin! I’m waiting to see the New 2022 RE Cruiser they’re coming out with using their 650 engine. Again 40hp isn’t that much for a 650 but I’m 68, 5’ 3” with 28” inseam and I’m hoping the seat hight will be the same as the Meteor as their INT 650 is about 31.7”. Please keep up the Good Work man and Cheers from Salem, Ohio.
Hey Rick, I'm originally from Navarre so glad to have you as a NE Ohio subscriber cheers
I own both a '20 INT 650 and a new Fireball yellow Meteor and the seat height is lower on the Meteor. I 'd bet a Meteor 350 would fit you perfectly.
@@michaelabernathy7013 Thanks Michael, I need more power than the actual 17hp though. I need to travel Freeways at between 70 and 85. I’m afraid the Trucks would run right over me LOL! I’d love to have the Meteor for back road cruises but need more power for Freeways. Thank man.
I dont know as much as most people do about anything but RE is a retro style motorcycle company. If you look back in the 50s and 60s a lot of motorcycles where smaller cc bikes so in today's world it shouldn't be so suprising that a 249cc engine is more than capable of handling highways.
349cc but yes
Excellent review. My BS4 Himalayan consistently returns 90mpg.
You had many problems with the bs4 himmi?
Ive heard reliability issues with the bs4 and should go for the bs6 as they sorted out common issues from the bs3 and bs4 models.
@@girlscoutpresents2823 None, although I have added some mods, including a TEC camshaft, K&N air filter, PowerCommander ECU, Lextek muffler and a 16-tooth front sprocket to reduce engine revs to 4500 at 100kmh. Only issue was a taillight failure, which required replacement of the whole assembly. Great little bike.
I love the look of the Meteor, its beautiful on the eye tbh and i would love to buy one, BUT my UK 2021 Himalayan has gotten under my skin and into my heart big style..I love it too much to buy another bike to ride occasionally when i just want to ride my Himalayan as much as i can, i am 55yrs now and having so much fun on the Himalayan, more than i ever did with my previous 32 yrs of riding 1000cc+ bikes..but then again, at the price and the looks, maybe i need another RE in my stable to fall in love with :D
now i am going to RE UK to look at the price..your fault ol'man ronin 🤣🤣
Love your videos! Just bought a 350 Meteor Fireball. Not many Americans doing videos on this bike. I want to set up a cam on my bike or helmet to vlog. Thank you for your honest reviews. I live in Hill Country Texas so I have lots of cruising roads granted some are 70 mph.
Congratulations Zach! and thsnk you for watching and subscribing
Here in Asia, South East Asia. Tropical Bikers Paradise. =RE= Royal Enfield is hugely popular. Especially the new "Thumper" Meteor 350: Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. Here is our BikeSanooK Supernova testride. Three months later Aug 14 2021. I purchased my first motorcycle at the age of 71. =RE= Supernova. czcams.com/video/rDAke3QqzQo/video.html
Good video. 👍
I thinking about this one or himalayan. Diferent bikes I know. Until meteor arrived it was himalayan, now I am not sure
@@igoratanackovic2413 Test ride both and see which fits your lifestyle is my best recommendation. Im certain, you will make the right choice after doing so
@@OlManRonin Thanks for your reply. All the best
Worst UK mpg on my 2019 Bullet 500 Trials , no pillion ,so far is 90 ,best is 104 .Riding around 50 mph or less . I would think the 350 should easily get this when run in . As you said , the grin factor is there in spades and you are certainly less likely to lose your license at the sensible speeds that the Meteor is capable of .

Hy you perfectly discribed why i bought this machine, gas in germany is about 1.80 euro per litre greatings from a 63 years old man
Thanks Uwe
Hey Ronin, I didn’t know Iron Lady makes you run 🏃🏻 if you are late for dinner 🍽 🍲 😂🤣😂🤣. By the way, I would really like you to take a good spin in the 650s, especially the Interceptor 650, because I’m sure it will change your perspective a little bit more about what the REs can do keeping all costs “Cost effective”. Looking forward to it…😊😊😊 KEEP SMILING.
I'm the chef. I make her run for dinner, no way, I don't make her do anything lol
It’s a great bike, though personally I’m waiting for the new classic 350 to release, as it’s more me lol
I took a test ride on the new Classic around 2 weeks ago while waiting for our Meteor. Great motorcycle. I got my Meteor on Monday evening last week, and today got my license plate. Love both the vehicles.
You should check out the new classic 350 with the same meteor engine......
Next Spring for us here in the US, but I intend too. Cheers and thank you for subscribing
hi Ol Man. Im from Malaysia

Yes another great video! Keep cruising!
Absolute smooth engine running makes a cruise blow away the blues.
Great video , great Ronin, a big great salute from Buenos Aires, the best is the simplest,
the best motor will be like the spoon, like Ford, simplest and good, beauty, and cheap, excuse me: tell me about the position of your legs, its confortable to make a long distances, thanks,

Power wise, how does it compare with the Himalayan.? Im not just talking numbers... Actual feel and delivery when you ride it.
Quicker than the Himalayan, little slower top end, but alot smoother overall. Great engine.
Hey buddy, how tall are you? just as reference for the Meteor fitting
6'2" my man
I want one.
Test ride and see if it fits your needs.
Hi can ask how tall are fancy a meteor but just wondering about rider height
6'2"ish I say ish because I'm old lol
Is new gen classic arrived there?
Thank you do much for watching and hopefully subscribing. No the Classic 350 won't be in the US until next year.
Ronin, is there a way to up the hp of the Meteor. Thank you Sir. Cheers from Salem, Ohio.
Im certain that aftermarket support will take off soon. Bigger Cam, high flow air cleaners, more open exhaust will gain maybe 10-15%. Hopefully someone will design a tuner for it as well. But since this is the first year on this engine, its more of a wait and see right now
@@OlManRonin thanks Sir. LOVE your Channel and Content!! Please keep up the Good Work!
The top speed is electronically limited seriously.
Sweet as ✌

So did you buy this bike or this still on loan for the dealer?
Not from dealer, from Royal Enfield North America
@@OlManRonin that is cool👍
I would buy one, if I had the cash, but on sick leave, from pancreatitis.
Im so sorry Mark, I gave your comment a thumbs up, but I'm so sorry to hear you're not well. Get Well as soon as possible my friend
Hope you get well soon.
Does the RE have an 0-ring chain or does that item need upgraded to a better chain?
It has an adequate chain to get you through your warranty. Make sense?.;)
@@OlManRonin in other words a cheap stock chain....
@@carlatamanczyk3891 it could be better
@@OlManRonin True but it brings up the question of how many other components on RE bikes are not, shall we say, high end components.
@@carlatamanczyk3891 I would say pretty much everything I've experienced has been first rate and my only issue has been the chain, but to be 100% upfront, I ride in the winter in the snowy roads of Ohio, so my guess that all other factory issued chains from all other bikes would be the same. it is 100% not a royal enfield issue, chains like tires need to be replaced and when you do spend more for higher quality. Does that make sense
Can i still get that give away sunglass?
Spoiler alert my interceptor gets 70 mi to the gallon
thats awesome
Thanks Ol' Man Ronin, BikeSanooK-Johnny, from "Tropical Bikers Paradise THAILAND". I totally agree with you. AFFORDABILITY: YES! - FIT & FINISH: YES! - PERFORMANCE: YES!- HANDLING: YES! - SMLE FACTOR: YES! And may I add the "HEEL-KICKER" The toe-heel shifter.
