Obviously thatâs not what teslas are known for but itâs the type of vehicle I need. Also the cyber truck wonât be able to compete, Iâve seen footage of it having hard time in snow and some of the trails I travel on the cyber truck wonât fit because the trail is to narrow.

I drive Uber and I picked up someone who had a Tesla cyber truck. He let me take it for a spin before his ride. It was truly amazing. The fastest vehicle I've ever driven.

@@jacobpeterson5856 would have been true a few years ago, but with the new model 3 performance with 0-60 in 2.9s and 1/4 miles sub 11~10.9 max speed: 165 mph and plaid with track pack which I won't even mention the stats, it's really difficult to have a car that can beat them nonmodified without costly upgrades.

Electric cars are actually more viable than people think. Press is a big factor tho. People won't just buy or not buy a car because its good or bad, Societal pressure is a thing. (Also, children in 3rd world countries mine the cobalt, so... we have some work to do there)
societal pressure isnt the problem. its practicality. if its good people will use it regardless as to what "society" has to say about it. a lot of the times it comes down to nothing more than preference as well even if the alternative is more practical. but again, "societal pressure" is barely a factor.
personally i wouldnt mind owning an EV but despite that i dont plan on getting one any time soon. there isnt a single EV that can cope with the work me or my wife do and when it comes to a vehicle used for pleasure i can think of a dozen other vehicles id much rather have before an EV especially since all the good EV's are pretty expensive and for the price there are too many alternative options to choose from.
if anything the only societal pressure regarding EV's is to buy them, not to not buy them. you know, the whole saving the planet thing as well as it being used as a status symbol because NO ONE is talking about the AWESOME nissan leaf they just bought... its all about saving the planet, gas savings and SPEEEED.
Actually in a lot of cases electric cars are less viable currently, first a large part of our electrical infrastructure cannot handle the strain of having so many electric vehicles, second even now already Teslas batteries and such are dying and then just being scrapped even though a massive amount of pollution is created to mine the lithium then process it into these batteries, third a very large amount of the electrical infrastructure powering electric cars is still fossil fuels whether it be diesel generators or coal plants, fourth after the energy is generated it is then passed through miles of cables to get to the car creating energy loss due to resistance, fifth when you think about the physics side of it and use common thermodynamic laws of power lossage and such it is clear to see that electric vehicles during the worlds current state are actually WORSE for the environment then internal combustion engines as engines that have to go through tons of regulations take those fossil fuels and convert them directly to mechanical energy wheres for electric vehicles in a power plant it is converted to mechanical energy then electricity then passed through miles of cable to reach the car then the car carries that electricity in a battery that in a relative manner isnât super efficient at storing die to loses from temperature and such do to the crystallization allowing electrons to leak out furthering the chemical reaction inside to being neutral thus flat. Eventually yes Evâs will be a viable and more efficient form of transport but at the current time Hydrogen, gas, and diesel powered vehicles are safer (in terms of their mechanical components such as the engine vs the battery) more efficient and wont affect the power grid.
