I get a 200$ strap every payday
I get $1000 at a time, spend them, then get more. I love the reaction I get from teenagers and other who have never seen one before. "Heather! Can we take these?"
Fantastic! Love to hear it. Hopefully you've seen some other videos on this channel where we spend them with a hidden camera to capture reactions.
I have *$1,120* in Two Dollar bills.
I go the bank every week,
I may have a Problem,
Not in our eyes. But we do think you should spend some.
YES - You might :-)
Yes,always spend them
I spend them all the time and many young people are so happy to see one or two or three.
My wife also thinks I'm weird buying $2 dollar bills...I just love the artistry of them...the current version of the $10 dollar bill is my least favorite...I can't stand them, whenever I get $10 dollars in change I always ask for either two $5 dollar bills or one $5 dollar bill and five $1 dollar bills
I've wondered if some people think they're getting ripped off by us leaving $2 bill tips because of the stigma that they're rare. Because waiters and waitresses rely on tips as well as their paychecks, they may feel that getting "rare" money is something they want to save instead of being able to spend "normal" money that they use to make a living. I think this is why it's important to educate people about how they are far from being rare and that it's completely okay to spend them.
Great comment. When I tip in $2 bills, I make it a point to tell people to "spend these", and I mention specifically that I'm not giving it to them so they can keep it as a collectible. The only time I say nothing is when I top off a normal tip with an extra $2, which they can use to spend or keep since it's kind of a bonus.
I have one 1928 year.
Are you a fan of this channel Jeffery
My channels' very similar
Me too
I have a few hundred left... I ordered $2k worth from my bank last year and have been spreading the wealth!
Where did you order them from?
My bank will just order them for me.
My local credit union ordered them for me.
My local credit union only had one and one order them
I am from Hungary and i found one at the ground near an exchange so i have 1
That miht be worth more in Hungary
@@99CentRapper no it worth 560 HUF so it has same value the black market operates euro here instead os usd
Every Christmas time or around my birthday I collect all the money I get from cards and gifts and I ask my mom to go the bank and I ask for change.
I used to have about 20 but then I spend them all because I like to see people's reaction to them! I need to go to the bank to get more
I usually put most of my spending money into 2s. I love people's reaction when they see a $2 bill😂
It's the best bill for that. Glad you use them and thanks for sharing!
I currently have 40 $2 bills=$80..
Once I spend them all I go and get a fresh batch of $100 in $2 bill notes. It is really fun to go out and spend em. Definitely a lot more fun and better than using a debit card on something that only cost five or ten dollars.
I have 3 red seal.
I have 5
I have a solid 0
Gifting them exposes the youngsters to the fun of currency collecting and encourages them in the hobby.

I lowkey think banks I stop by think I’m weird asking for $2s considering I have 5 straps at home for emergency cash and for spending sometimes. HEY it’s money, why whine about me spending $20 in 2s?!
You shouldn't spend $20 in 2s any more than you should spend $20 in 1s
I just got a 100 from the bank.. had to order them but they are crisp and the numbers are in order
I love the $2 bill.its my favorite denomination.the design is beautiful.as of right now I don't have very many but I usealy have a strap on Deck.
1:01 Look at the graph on top; _in 000s_ this means there are actually 153 _million_ $2 bills, totaling up to $307 _million_
2. I had a ton but spent them all. The only two I have left are silver certificates and United States bank notes. I have to go to the bank to get more.
I actually managed to get $100 worth of twos in the bank! Much of them were from the 1976 Series, which is very rare and expensive!
That's great that you got them! Unfortunately, 1976 twos aren't worth more than anything printed recently. There are more 1976 $2 bills (400 million) than there are of any other run. But there are also enough people who think like you do that they're more valuable. Maybe you can sell some of them to some gullible people.
I have 50 brand new uncirculated, another 50 reg and 1 red seal I scored on eBay for $3.25! Could you do an episode on the red seal notes and their value
We address that to some degree in this video: czcams.com/video/5AdKp5SPHKM/video.html But we should do one specifically on red seal notes. You may also love the film from which this channel is based. It's on Amazon: amzn.to/2gpRKum
It can depend on the series.
I have one as part of a small collection of banknotes, but I'm from the UK so if I were to put money into collecting more I wouldn't be able to spend any of them.
Have at least $1,000 on hand, with about $20 in twos that I carry to spend. When running low, I usually get 3 or 4 straps.
Love to hear it. Thanks for commenting.
Spend them.
I buy $200 strap every payday. I use them for tips when eating out. Servers appreciate them in that they are paid cash and don’t have to claim all cash tips. Also, it shows them a little extra attention to service in that it’s appreciated.
Great way to use them. And good that you're putting them into circulation! I'm sure all those servers remember you because you give them $2s. Thanks for sharing.
Agreed to buy some tools off Craigslist on Monday. Went to the bank to get cash. The branch orders $2s for me and had $400 in stock. I bought them all. Later realized I had forgotten to get bigger bills for the Craigslist purchase. Ended up giving seller $100 in $2s. Surprisingly, he did not say a thing about how I paid.
Wish you had a camera going on that transaction!
Hey I have some of those recorded I'll try to get you some videos if you want.
Ever since I got my first job (Like a year ago) I get one $2 bill every time I deposit my paycheck. I give them to friends or as tips because many people don't know that you can buy them from any bank. Usually makes their day and I just think they are pretty cool.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I have 5 of them. 3 1976 ones, 1 2003 one, and 1 1928 one.
I have a 1976 one too
Picked up another 60 of them on Friday. Different branch of my bank. Both tellers has a pile of them with rubber bands, each probably over 200 notes... I'll be going back...
Awesome to hear. Thanks for sharing.
Generally speaking, how much is it to order a strap of 2s? I'm wanting to pick this up as a "money hobby" but I don't want to get to the point where I'm spending money just to get money
Get them at the bank and the cost will be face value. Not all banks have straps handy, but as you can see from this video, some do: czcams.com/video/bpfBAwf2HPI/video.html If your bank doesn't, ask them to order some. The great thing about that is when they arrive, you'll have a stack of crisp, unused bills, with consecutive serial numbers. Don't ever pay more than $2 for a $2 bill, regardless of how many there are.
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary hey thanks for the fast response! I love your videos and I find 2 dollar bills very interested for some reason. I think I'll have to order some. I also was thinking about the Kennedy half dollar coins. Could I order those as well? Or are they more of a collector's item by now?
I have about 80 of them right now. I spend them all the time, and buy another strap from the bank when I run low. It takes about a week for the bank to deliver one.
Great to hear. We love people that use them. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have an uncut sheet of 32, a 2009 star note, and 8 in my wallet. Go spend them! That’s the fun part.
..? BOX Chevy
I currently have 10 in my wallet (down from 42) and 50 at home. I use them to pay my $4.25 toll twice a day. We finally were able to get them. The young kid at one of the toll booths was ecstatic that I had $2 bills. (I popped in today and paid my toll with my two$2 bills....and for a bonus, I gave him a bicentennial quarter. He about flipped.) Tonight, I had an older toll collector try to by the rest of my two's....told him nope. (But I told him if he was there tomorrow night at the same time, he'll get more). Am glad I was able to finally get some. I got the 42 that started this week out. I gave my mom a $100 to see if she could get some more and got lucky. Am planning on getting more if possible. They're just more convenient to use. I can carry half the bills for my weekly tolls and still still pay exact change-which the collectors appreciate. There are so nany people paying 1 and 2 dollar tolls with 20's, that it drains their drawers rather quickly. And the $2 bills take up less room. Sometimes they'll give them as change....and it does create smiles. Especially with the older crowd
This is fantastic. Love what you're doing! Yes they are very convenient, and they make (most) people happy. Wish you had some video of these exchanges, but either way, keep sharing your experiences; it's great to see people like you using $2s! Thanks for sharing.
Currently in my wallet, I have five twos ($10 worth). However, I have a reserve stash of 45 bills ($90) I dip into each week to replenish my wallet.
Nice.
I have two of them, one I keep since my mother gave to me, and another currently in my wallet waiting to be spent 👍
I probly got 5 or 6 my great uncle made rings out them gave them as gifts to us at Christmas everyyear
Are they green seal bills or red?
I have 1 and it’s in perfect condition and I keep it and if anyone one touches I say be carful even though they aren’t that rare they are just special to me. I have never spent one and when I can drive I will go to the bank and get 5 a month for safe keeping
What series is it?
Can the bank order them if i ask them to?
Not only can they, but they SHOULD! If they say they can't, they're just being lazy. You can absolutely have them order them for you.
I have one and my other two sisters have one my dad had three of them and he didn't even know
Today, I finally got 1, my bank has one today :)
Probably $40 at the moment, I use them for tips occasionally if the meal cost around $10.
Are they printing them right now? What series are they?
www.coinworld.com/news/paper-money/2018/11/fy-2019-federal-reserve-orders-from-bep-include-first-2-notes-since-2016.html
They printed the first batch of Series 2019 in October.
Thanks i hope to get some series 2019
im Canadian and i have 25 sequential bills alll in uncirculated condition im going to save them and i also have them in protective sleeves and will never be spent
I have one but I'm getting more of them
I have one. I live overseas but every year when I take vacation I stop by a bank and get $200 in two's and spend them. My daughter gets a kick out of it.
And what do the cashiers think?
I have 40 uncirculaated $2 star notes consecutive
I had 24 but I used one at three dollar tree, gave my sister's best friend's only son one for his birthday, and two away to my two nieces. So now, I have $18
I have 30 notes from my grandmother she collected them more of a keep sake
I once in my life had $400 worth in $2.00. That year I used it up in Disneyland. 😁
I have 238 pieces, and I love them!!!
That's a lot! Why don't you spend some?
Living in Greece
It's difficult to have them and on top of that they ask ypu commission from the bank.
But,, I have 400 pieces already and an objective for 1,000
That's awesome! Go for it - you'll get there.
I keep five in my wallet to give as tips, to homeless people, donation jars, etc.
For me, two dollar bills segment my giving from spending, so I always have an amount to give.
i only have 15 of them and i want more 🤣🤣🤣
Get them at the bank!
I have 3 so far
2 good b'day notes and a 1976 in great condition. Looking for ** notes.
I went to a few banks who said they had none. I had to buy some off ebay
Cashed 100 dollars. ! Thats 50 bills! They are so fun to use and give
Great to hear! If you can take a moment to shoot a video of what you have (or even spending them), I'm taking subvmissions for a new video to launch on 2-22-22. Here are the details: czcams.com/video/8LWVUuez_co/video.html
I have a modest 5 :)
I Never counted them but i think it's about 100 of them i have
We don’t have that on state of Hawaii I wonder why?
No $2 bills in Hawaii??
I have 4 straps..all uncirculated sequential bills
i have 12 but i am planing to get even more
I had $2000 in twos a couple months ago when I had to pay a large bill!
You paid the bill in $2s??
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary Yeah they weren't too happy about it, but because it was a debt they had no choice but to accept them. I think there's no limit to how many 2 dollar bills are too many to spend in one transaction, as I look at it where the more you spend at once the more the cashier believes they aren't rare
Today is Monday May 10 2021 two dollar bill documentry I gest got 50 two dollar bills
I keep about 100 on hand to give as gifts to grandchildren which are included with cards of all types (birthday, Christmas, etc.) They love them and keep them all!!
Keeping them takes them out of circulation preventing all other 'collectors' from being able to find them, as you said they do work good as gifts, though I dont recommend 'keeping' as in never removing them from your possession but,if you are meaning 'keeping' as in possesing temporarily then that would be better for the government and people wishing to aquire two dollar bills.
But indeed spend as often as you can.
would like a 100 BEP strap of consecutive 2 dollar bills, my bank states they don't have any
I have 10..$2.00 Bills...I hopefully will acquire more on Monday
Keep 'em or spend them?
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary keep them...
Salve dove poso valutare dele bancnote americane grazie mille
I only have two and they're both United States Notes.
I buy around 200 - 300 notes per month and use them to purchase low price items or need cash
I am going to have 5 of these 2 dollar bills
I have 1 $2 bill and I might try to ask the bank for more.
I got 6 of em
I normally get about $60 worth a year for a local street fair. Most of the food booths are $2 so it works out well.
I have 5 of them I keep. I plan to get more then spend those instead of keeping.
Good plan. Always keep some of the sentimental ones. But spend all others.
$25 planning on getting more
I have three and I’m getting 50 next year
I withdrew $400 worth of $2 bills last week. Have already spent about $50
Keep it up! Happy to hear this.
It's not strange girl. A 2 dollar bill is very rare now a days.
I have a 1953 two dollar bill and I’m trying to buy 30 of them from one of my friends but i Have five right now
I have 22 of them right now.
Will you ever spend any of them?
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary Yes, I get them regularly, just picked up another $100 worth yesterday. I leave them as tips, spend them at convenience stores...
About a month ago I went to the car wash and at the end where the boys towel your car off for you I usually give them a few bucks. That night I gave each kid a brand new $2 and one of them fumbled and dropped it on the wet floor.
I got lol 200 of them
I have 8 two of them are red seals
I have 2 of them ($4 total)
I only have 1 2 dollar bill but it's red seal
I have for from 1963 3 from 1976 3 from 1995 one from 2003 3 from 2009 6 from 2013
Every payday..I go to Wells Fargo & pick up anywhere from 200-300 two dollar bills..been doing this for years.& No I don't spend mine. ( For my future retirement)
So when you retire you'll have thousands of dollars of $2 bills. Will you spend them then? Are you saving them for retirement strictly so you can be the older guy who spends $2s everywhere??
wells fargo just got fined 3 billion for fraud
I have $800 worth of 2s 😂
About 20
I have 5
I have about 100 no star notes yet
I have 103 $2.00 bills. 7 of them are Red Seal two dollar bills.
I’m from Canada and I have 1438 2$ bills
I have $106 in two dollar bills
i have 20 of them
None. I had one a few years ago but gave it away.
My banks rarely have them in stock and they won’t order any because they say we’re not allowed to order anything
That's ridiculous - it's just their way of being lazy. They order other currencies all the time - how do you think they have so much cash in their vaults?? Call them on it. If they still give you a bunch of bull, tell them you're taking your business to another bank.
The Two Dollar Bill Documentary good idea
Chase Bank just told me that they can`t make special orders either.
I wanted NEW ones!
i have about 14
I have 2 $2 bills, but want to have many
