Federal law mandates that all vehicles have the third brake light outfitted within the car. Additionally, the third light must be comparable to the other brake lights on the vehicle so that it is not distracting to the drivers behind the vehicle.

First of all i would like to thank you for the video and very well put sir..... now i have to rant about stupid toyota and the total fail in design it really makes me mad how they did this poor design to makes it so time consuming to change a freaking bulb!! This is clearly a way so you have to take your cat to them so they can charge you an arm and a leg to change a stupid bulb!! I really want to take them to court for this and they deserve to get a big fine for it.
You are right my friend for what you say. Toyota made a mistake at this point, but what to do? Toyota is this.
I mean I rather Toyota and their puzzles with aesthetics rather than other cars cheaply made, I mean their cars last so long, I’ve had a Tercel that was 23 years old and went a lot less often to the garage than my friends cars who were between 10 to 15 years old cars

Yes my friend it really is a time consuming process to change a .... light. The same goes for the rear speakers. How are cars made today? What a pity I have to do everything myself and this is difficult for me. I wish I had one help!

Good video thanks, 😃👍 but it would be easier to start at 5 minutes in , and fold backseat down, pop off side plastic, then pop up back plastic and then disconnect the led, then put in new led, then clip down covers and put back up backseats, took me about 6 minutes on my car, led light ,lasted over 150,k miles

Have a 2017 corolla. Is this same process. Car is only 5 years old and bulb burnt. Dealer charges over 350 dollars for labor. Thanks alot

Unfortunately this is how it should be done. It can not be done otherwise.
2017 corolla. LED strip can't be replaced. Need to change whole housing. Toyota quoted the price to be 270 dollars for the 3rd brake light housing. Plus over an hour of labor. Plus taxes. Your over 400 dollars in Canada

Unfortunately all this has to be done for a ..... light. Older cars made things much simpler and easier 😮😮😥😥

Crazy work to replace 10 dollar bulb. Labor at dealer is 360 dollars.
It's really crazy that to replace a bulb you have to remove a bunch of parts. Much simpler couldn't Toyota make it?
