Very useful and helpful video. It worked. My advise from my experience is to not over-tighten the bolt. As you are doing it, keep moving the car back and forth because the handbrake can be engaged even though the lever is not in it's up possition. Listen for sounds from your rear wheels as you move the which will tell you if your brake pads are engaged. When testing your handbrake, do not press the button. If it does 3 clicks easily, I'd say you're good. That's my 2 cents. Again, thanks for the video.
thanks. My left rear brake seem to whine every morning when i've left my hand brake on for the night. (it whines when driving slowly without even braking). I have new rear discs and pads, and well lubricated pins. But still there is the noise.. What could be the reason for the whine?

Τι προκαλεί τη χαλάρωση ενός μοχλού αλλαγής ταχυτήτων; Όταν φθαρεί ένας δακτύλιος (συνεμπλόκ) αλλαγής ταχυτήτων, ο επιλογέας ταχυτήτων γίνεται χαλαρός. Είναι επειδή ο φθαρμένος δακτύλιος άφησε ένα κενό μεταξύ του μοχλού και της μεταλλικής ράβδου αλλαγής ταχυτήτων. Οι μεταλλικοί ράβδοι αλλαγής ταχυτήτων έχουν εγκοπές συγκράτησης στις πλευρές τους. Μια μπίλια με ελατήριο προσαρμόζεται στην εγκοπή για να κρατήσει το κιβώτιο ταχυτήτων σε ταχύτητα.
