My friend this plastic film is very important for every car because it protects the internal parts of the door from dust, moisture and also partially provides security. It's called "Front Door Service Hole Cover". Yes unfortunately 😮😮😮 you have to remove all these parts of the car to replace the mirror because the mirror connector is inside the door panel
