- In this video, we replace the transmission oil service kit and the conductor plate on a Mercedes CLK.
The electronically-shifted, five-speed automatic transmission Mercedes 722.6 has been used by many different vehicle manufacturers including Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jaguar, Jeep, Dodge and SsangYong.
The hydraulic and electronic control of this transmission is achieved by the six solenoids connected to the conductor plate, which is attached to the valve body inside the transmission.
The conductor plate also carries out the electrical sensing and control for the internals of the transmission; providing input shaft speed, indication of the ‘Park’ and ‘Neutral’ positions to inhibit the starting of the vehicle with a gear engaged, and the sensors for the oil temperature and level.
However, the conductor plate and the electrical plug connector to the wiring harness can be problematic - causing issues that result in the vehicle entering ‘failsafe’ mode and logging fault codes relating to the sensors and/or solenoids valves. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
What happens if the shifter doesn’t shift? Or read gears on the vehicle low fluid or bad shifter or bad connection
Just had my conducter plate fixed on my w211 e63 amg 😢in uk gears were jamming not cheap is this correct?
how long does this take to do yourself?

Hello!
Can you please provide a tightening torque spec for conductor plate connector retaining bolt ?
Thank you for the great video !
Mine trans was acting erratic 98 MBZ c43 amg, unplugged battery overnight, no cel and shifts normal
Hello.... thank you for the useful video, butvI got a question, I replaced my car Transmission Conductor Plate NAG1 for 2007 Chrysler 300C 5.7l AWD, it works then not shifting, they told me your Transmission need programming to work correct, someone else told me it doesn't need programming, so I got confused does it need Programming as you a professional???
Cuz am afraid to pay money for programming then if it doesn't work then you waste the money for nothing.
Thank you
Thank you for watching our video. There appears to be no programming required for this part. However, there are a resetting of parameters as a software option on the diagnostic software. This would not cause the condition you are describing.
Hello do the p0715 code go away after the conductor plate is change on 722.6 are do i need a mercedes scanner thanks.
Thank you for watching our video. If the transmission fault has been fixed by replacing the faulty parts, then it is best practice to check and clear any fault codes. In this case you should not require an official Mercedes-Benz diagnostic tool to do this, a good quality aftermarket tool should be able to do this task.
Thank you @@febi.bilstein
Nice 🌹🌹👍
Thank you for watching our video and your positive comments. 👍
I have a great running engine but the transmission stops upshift
Does it get stuck in gear?
Could I use 33889 Atf for w203 c230 kompressor
Thank you for watching our video. If your vehicle is equipped with a 722.6 automatic transmission, then please use febi part 29449 not 33889. For our full applications for your vehicle please visit our on-line catalogue www. partsfinder.bilsteingroup.com
The diagnistic computer says "Slip" . There is big delay in shift between 1st & second shift.
Hey, I have the same issue after changing the conductor plate twice. Computer says transmission is slipping and there is a big delay between 1 and 2 gear. Please let me know if you find any answers? Thanks
Valve body ...I had the same issue in the same transmassion
What did you end up doing?
@@haideralifarooq What did you end up doing?
Doesnt a new conductor plate require coding to the vehicle?
Thank you for watching our video. No coding or basic settings are required in this application.
@@febi.bilstein I'm thinking of the 722.9
The machine reads no communication with the gear box ,what could be wrong
( Benz c 200 )
@@johannesmolokoane9438 Sounds like a conductor plate fault, what year transmission?
not if you repair only the component responsible for the fault on it. however if you decide to replace TCU, you ll need to transfer data from your old tcu
