Congratulations good job, from Africa
Good job
Honestly you'd be spending the same/more to have a shop reset the codes for you, so even using that scanner this one time already pays for itself! I've been meaning to buy one myself, but for now I'll just annoy my friends to borrow theirs lol
I have P0741 code on my gearbox oil was really bad so i change it now looks better but do i need also to change this plate, because torque converter is fine gearbox is shifting smoothly no weird noise no nothing so i don't know what the issue can be
Either way, you need the proper scanner and adapter to reset the code. It won't reset on its own
Will this work on my 98 e430 turbine sensation circuit a is what the engine code came up as??
Yeah, most likely. As long as you have the correct computer to reset the codes after. A regular scanner doesn't work. On the valve body (in your transmission) you will find a plastic plate, which carries the input and output speed sensors. This plate is known to crack around the input speed sensor. Hence your problem and the lock down in second gear. The repair for this means removing the tranny fluid/oil pan/filter/valve body and lastly the electronics plate. Then replace the plate, and refit all other parts. Hope this gives you a starting point🫡
My reverse lights dont work is there a switch in here ? im stuck in low gear also the car is a 2000 with a 1999 filter and brown fluid
Check fuses or bulbs first if both aren't working. Will need to do a reset after the repair to get it out of Limp Mode
I did the same replacement and my 2000 c280 and it’s still in limp mode. I bought a different Mercedes diagnostics reader to clear the TCM codes and it had every Mercedes listed as a car option but my 2000 C280 will that reader have the 2000 c280 as an option? I couldn’t even get to the part where I read the tcm because my car wasn’t listed please help!!!
I'd use the scanner I have linked in the video description. I still use this scanner all the time, works great for these years
Hello i have a question, i have your exact same scanner as yourself and it wont connect to my 2000 mercedes e 320 its saying link error do you have any ideas why is that? Key on, plug in under hood. thank you.
Good question! Double check for bad fuses or loose pins. Can check the pins with a small tack or something to see if they are grabbing
@@Mechani_Cole ok. let me get back with you. man we just had a tornado in Houston texas, I don't have lights and my phone is about to die. I get back thank you dude.
Where did you purchase your plastic assembly from?
Not sure what you are referring to. Everything I used should be listed on the description or the pinned comment.
Hello
Do I need to do the program after replacing the conductor plate with a new one, or do I already have the program in the new conductor plate
What should I do if I have to do a program?
No programming needed as far as I know. But you do need the correct scanner to be able to access the transmission control module for the reset to get to rid of the code and get it out of limp mode.
2005 Mercedes Ben e320 change the conductor plate after that didn’t want move no more or shift can can this scanner help take out limp mode the one that you post .
@@Mechani_Cole I had use icarsoft cr pro or I can use any icarsoft
I have a 2005 e350 4matic ... Is it absolutely necessary to replace the conductor plate every time or can the tcm be reset without doing that just to get it out of limp mode ?? Basically I'm just asking if it can be done without having to tear it down ??
Always try a reset first, sometimes it works if you have the proper scan tool. Then if that doesn't work, more work is needed
Thanks for the fast reply .. and lol I didn't realize that like twenty other people had the same question as me ... Limp home mode sucks man thanks for the input tho ...
@user-tp7ys7pp5v limp mode sucks the older you get too🥲😅
But for real, I keep a scanner in my Mercedes and Audi just in case it ever decides to go into limp mode. More often then not, you can reset the computer and get home at least
Great video. After replaced the transmission conductor plate, is the car needs to reset the programs?
Yes, it needs to be reset with the proper scan tool. Link in description for everything needed
@@Mechani_Cole I have got the MB v.2 and it saying it doesn’t support my system I don’t want to spend no more money on this beautiful car your a life saver if this really works i have replaced the conductor plate and not it does not drive or reverse why is that?
@juanflores2449 are you using the 38-pin connector? It won't work without that part to access the TCU. So it won't shift until it gets reset properly
Are you still happy with that scanner or have you moved on to something better thanks
Still happy. It's a great scanner. I have a few others, but this is my main one besides using VCDS for Audis
W211 e class gearbox in limp mode fault codes p220a p2500 p2001 what is the problem
❤
What are you saying odd2 pin connection
Under the hood there is a 38 pin connector to hook up an obd scanner to that connector. You need the adapter listed in the description
My car drived but it didn't shift out of first gear.Change a conductor plate but now the car will not drive at all.Is that because it needs scan
Yes. You HAVE to reset it with a proper scanner through the box under the hood with the 38 pin connector. You can not just change the part and have it be fixed. The computer must be able to access the TCU module to send the command
Thank you so much. The car still jacked up.I put it into gear, but the wheels will not spin so that is a sign. It's in limp mode
Sorry, have one more question. Is it possible that I could have that lever in the wrong place where it connects to the shifting rod
How much fluid and what’s the labor
Hours for this job
Took me about 2-3 hours max, but I was taking my time and taking breaks. The fluid depends on how much comes out. But either way, have to adjust the fluid level according to the dipstick. Hard to say an exact amount on transmissions
Points to fuel door... Got the chromed license plate here. XD That is def wayyyyy too much chrome lol. Vomit inducing.

Hello I have a question, i changed the plate in the transmission 722.6 and I bought a icarsoft scanner and the adapter, yes it took it outa limp mode and it's changing gears smooth, but the check engine transmission code keeps coming back, what do you think??
@worldwidesports4k did you clean the connecting harness really good?
@@Mechani_Cole yes I did.
@@Mechani_Cole I started the car this morning the check engine and code went away, thanks for your help .
