Remember ETH was who the fans wanted. Remember we as fans said, let's have patience with this manager, lets give him a few years to build his team. Remember we said the second season could be hard but we must remain patient. Now the time for level heads and patience has come and the fans are turning on the manager. This is why the cycle continues. The fans never learn.

I'll be the first to say yes, I wanted ETH. Especially after last year's results. League Cup, FA Cup finalist, Champions League spot...my issue is that if he's lost the locker room, then he has no power with the players. There are only two ways to correct it. Get rid of the manager, which is the easy fix, and which we've done over and over, or gut the players and bring in new talent or pull from the reserves. I have been screaming for years that we needed youth. Young players don't cost a lot, they play hard because they want the glory and eventually a larger paycheck, and they are less prone to the injuries that often plague older players. If older players are producing results, by all means, keep them. But the results haven't been there. We have a tremendous amount of talent on this squad but they look like they simply don't want to play. Hell, even the commentators several weeks in a row have been saying the effort isn't there with players walking. Something has to give. I don't care who they bring in as coach. The results have to come. Yes, that falls on the players to perform, but it also falls on the manager/coach to bring those players together and work as a team, which we clearly are not doing. At this point we need a complete revamp, top to bottom, and in my opinion, start with ousting the geriatric players.

Ten Hag got brought in in the hopes of changing the style of play, but realized he doesn't have the players for it.
Then he got backlash in the transfer window for saying "I can't play like I did at Ajax with these players, so I'm gonna play transitional football instead". People were saying things along the lines of "why did we sign him if he can't play the way he did at Ajax".
So while the sensible thing to do is playing, low block, counterattacking football. I believe doing so would most likely have gotten him sacked already.

I think out of every manager we've had since SAF left.... under the circumstances, he dealt with..... Ten Hag in that first season, the results, and what he got out of what he had..... he deserves a third season.
This second season we've had a mental amount of chaos in regards to club ownership. We've had a decimated first-team squad at times. We've also had some rotten decisions and luck.
He's dealt most of it without a settled 1st choice keeper, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro who hasn't been fit or the player he was, Rashford who was Mbappe level to nowhere near, and Rasmus who was 20 years old prospect with no other replacement..... Even Bruno has been off it.
Martial, Malacia have been nowhere to be seen and Wan Bissaka wasn't available until the start of the year.
Varane has been here and there........ replaced with Jonny Evans. Mount has been injured for most of it.
But we've had games even recently where the team and squad are playing for him even with the mistakes.
He needs a summer with the club direction focused and a squad he actually wants.
We've gone through this routine for over ten years of signing a manager, having a response, then having a torrid second season and repeating the process. I actually think all things considered what he's had to deal with this season compared to all the others is actually remarkable.
Now I understand that sometimes how we play comes across as wreckless but it's based around a certain level of player and a system..... we don't have that but if you're building a style of play and system for a club to use throughout do you drop that.... or just keep going and know that when the players change the results will.
    Gotta keep going.

He’s sacking himself by making the same mistakes as previous managers by playing either his favourites or players that are clearly ain’t good enough. It’s awful to watch Man Utd at the minute. His subs, tactics and in game management are simply awful at times. Whilst Garnacho wasn’t great, Rashford and Casemiro were by far the worst players on the pitch - That is favouritism...
They’ve had multiple chances to sell these players but it’s becoming the main issue - and Ten Hag is either too stupid to understand these players ain’t good enough or he’s trying to show how bad they are. Either way - it’s a disgrace.
Many players need to leave, the medics need an overhaul but Ten Hag needs to change or he ends up becoming one of the worst managers at united since Fergie.

I have concluded it’s this fanbase that’s the issue. Fergie made this club to reliant on 1 man. Manchester United has a savior complex, which is why everything that happene at the club gets blamed. This scapegoating/blame game mentality is the most toxic thing in football. We will never succeed without an authoritarian at United, because the fanbase swallows up anyone who shows signs of weakness. Which is fine, but that’s also why we won’t allow a rebuild to take place. Sacking managers is a Ballon D’or to this fanbase.

Apart from replaying the same awful, 'rebellious ' players week -in, week-out and subbing on the likes of super Scot at the expense of playing proper football... on the off chance that he scores a goal... what has he really done? His signings have brought more woe than wins. He's apparently being bulldozed by certain players but was resolute when it came to handling Ronaldo and Sancho. Are Rash and Bruno bigger than Ronaldo?

This is a manager who got silverware and finished 3rd in his first season, while dealing with BS that had been brewing for 10 years, and unwinding that while having zero backing from the top in terms of talent he could rely on. That's when bad transfers like Antony happen. Giving Rashford a super contract after one season, is that on the manager? He seems to be getting a lot of stick for things that other departments should be responsible for. Meanwhile, his starting CB's are Maguire and Evans. What do you expect? Rashford is not delivering, Hojlund is not getting service and is a prospect for the future. It also brings our club into the wrong focus and embarrasses us completely all over again. My personal suspicion is that there is a player / a few players that have contracts that prevent them from being dropped if they are fit and this is grating on some of the younger players who are being prevented from progressing even further in the squad - maybe they want EtH out as well as those players he may favour because they are EtH's signings and are on mega money.

      2. DDG had a contract over for over a year, that HE turned down in last March, because he thought he was better. He only made a last minute U-turn when DDG realised no one wants to touch him. And the manager moved on. DDG played a game, and lost.

I dont believe that ETH should go. We've whinged for years that the managers dont get discipline into the team, at least hes started that. Players are rebelling against that, fine. He has to be given the chnace to assert his authority. There is no magic manager, not Jose, not Ole, definitely not Nagelsmann or Southgate. Look at the Graham Potter debacle at Chelsea. There are times this season that we've been pathetic, but also times when we recognised our team again. That's more than I can say for the years before ETH.
We've had so many bad injuries, just think about it. Even with SAF we would have been stretched thin this season. I will be disappointed if he is let go. I think we then just flush another 2 years down the drain rebuilding, and top managers will not come to a club with no patience for a rebuild. Thats the fact of why we cant even dream of Zidane.
For those that don't recall SAF finished 11th in his first 2 seasons and in 1990 won the FA Cup to hold onto his job. The rest is history. Coincidentally that FA Cup final was the foest Man United football game I ever watched, and have been a supporter ever since

Yes its not just the ETH, its the attitude of some players on and out the field. BUT still ETH has made obvious tactics and players selection mistakes during this season. This is a facts!!!!

As a fan of this team, I'm really tired of managers always taking the blame. The same process has been repeated for 10 years and no different results are obtained. If INEOS repeats the same mistake from 10 years ago, firing the manager rather than supporting him, no matter which manager is hired, the players who claim to play for the club will continue to throw the managers to the lions. INEOS must support the manager and clean the squad of selfish players who only think about likes on social networks before giving everything for the club in each game they go out to play.

It's like the start of last season with ETH choosing a system for players who can't play it and getting continually outplayed. He changed it after a few games back then but now he is just going all in for some reason, even when half the squad is injured. It almost seems like he wants out.

Is his twitter profile managed by a media team?
Is there dual access between player and a media team managing his social media?
How do we know if it was the player or his media team?

I blame both the players and the manager.
Certain things just can't be blamed on Ten Hag (Rashford's lack of effort, Casemiro's drop in quality, injuries etc)
But at the same time i think Ten Hag needs to be more dynamic, you can't stick to the same formula when it clearly isn't working week in week out.
I think with the right players (players that are comfortable on the ball and not panicking when it gets passed to them) we will be a strong team again.
Smart transfers this summer in and out are gonna be vital !

Shame that United don't employ you as a media consultant/adviser Sam. I'm serious. Your knowledge and expertise would be invaluable to the players who can't resist the urge to post before thinking things through. Great vids from you and always a balanced and insightful commentary. Great work, thanks. United fan since 1960.

I watched the Interview Ole did on Gary Neville Show. Then I realized the main issue we are having in this club are most of the senior Players. There was a time in that match ETH was shouting and instructing them to calm the tempo of the Game and pass the Ball between them selves, But the players just can’t do That at all. I think the scouting team need to be Axed. There are too many players in this current squad who can only run with the Ball with no end product. I think we need players that can play and keep the Ball in tight spaces with Technical Abilities. Rashford, Marguire, Scott, Dalot, Casemero, Varene, wan - Bissaka, martial all Lack passing abilities and technical awareness

Yesterday's match was so similar to when Ollie and the other managers came to the end. I watch what is happening in the youth and hope Eric has a hand in this. If he does, he needs to stay. Is it a case the players in the senior side are giving up because they know they will be going, or at least a lot of them... player power??? Fergie would kick their arses
