      Jose was a bully, but one that didn't have your back. Fergie was too... but he knew every players story, invested his time in to getting to know them and fought for them with a fierce passion to bring out the best in them. He could turn if the circumstances were right, but when you played for him you wanted to fight for him and the team. I have very little hope this club will ever be elite again. Maybe in 5 years but no time soon!

    • @wolfpackpete6408
      @wolfpackpete6408 Před 23 dny +14

      @rubenfrankish Ferguson mostly man-managed very well. If he knew one of his players was a bit soft, he would direct his anger for them at another player who was able to cope with being shouted at. So Ferguson knew how to get the best out of almost everyone.
      Mourinho is just utterly cruel. Didn't matter if they were a good player. If they were soft in any way, they'd be there as a scapegoat and for Mourinho to bully. Mourinho definitely wouldn't adjust to get the best from those softer characters, he would just bully them! It's probably a violation of their human rights and everyone knew it, and Mourinho not only gets away with it, but gets paid over £10m per year to be that rotten person.

And his inability to crush the players cabal there might mean that United will constantly go through this same cycle over and over and over until we are relegated, and the team folds because the debt will crush us the day we drop.

    Signing him was a mistake to begin with. He was another Name being signed who was already finished as a top level player and you could see that before we signed him as he was injured regularly at Bayern. All of that was happening in a Bayern team who have it pretty easy most weeks. It doesnt excuse how he was treated which was unprofessional and disrespectful, which will filter to the other players as its not like they stop talking to one another. Sorry to say Manchester united cannot really manage players, the way Rio Ferdinand, Ander Herrera, Evra, Basti, or even DDG were handled was terrible, in fact till last moment they kept giving hope to DDG that they might give him contract. DDG was at club for a very long time, this is not the way players who have served the club for decade are handled, Even DDG was naive, the moment 6 months were left for the end, he should have discussed with other clubs.
