    Newcaste supporter here: we have had 75% our first team out for half the season and Tonali banned for the season and have been told over and over again... "ALL TEAMS HAVE INJURIES, GET OVER IT" ... However, when it is Man Utd it's a different story.

      @benwolff-sachs3556 Před 11 dny +4

      And if what the writer said is true about said injuries, then that excuse is invalid. All our injuries have been extremely rare and rather serious. Plus with our limitations with PSR, it has been more impactful than Manure. Even so it’s still an excuse. The difference is that we put effort in regardless of our woes.
      Anyways I don’t have any sympathy for any of the “big six “

      Arsenal didn't have an injury hit season back in the day.... we had an injury hit decade... don't remember anyone giving a dam, teams need to stop using injuries as an excuse.

      100%, look at Newcastles back 4 against Burnley, 4th choice CB, 3rd choice RB playing as CB, 3rd choice LB and 2nd choice RB with 2nd choice keeper. Add to that we were playing our 5th and and 6th choice central midfielders but they all worked hard and put in a good performance.
      I fully understand that when a team has so many injuries the level of quality will probably drop but the level of commitment and work rate shouldn’t

    • @Brendan_M_
      @Brendan_M_ Před 11 dny

      The difference here is Manchester United don't even have an 11 capable of playing the same game plan when everyone is fit. Injuries are part of the problem but the real issue is the squad has no real direction, wan Bissaka and Maguire have terrible defensive awareness and distribution, that nullifies Onana's strengths. All for a manager who wants to play out from the back. Working up through the team it continues. Every team has injuries, most teams have built a squad with a lot more cohesion. We can blame Ten Hag as much as we want but he came to a new league and the recruitment team had absolutely no alternatives to his requests except to buy Casemiro for far too much too late in his career instead of de Jong. Pep has signed a few clangers in his time but Manchester City have the ability to sell and move on. Manchester United give out a 5 year contract on 200k per week before the player has kicked a ball in the PL and then brag about how much their asset is worth. Arsenal had to go through some pain with Arteta, Liverpool with Klopp, etc because of the state of the club before they took over, it's about time Manchester United admitted top 4 is not a given, top 6 is even a battle, and getting back to the top takes more than 1 transfer window and sometimes the player you think is your best needs to go to rebuild properly. Coutinho, Aubameyang. Bruno and/or Rashford should make the list

    ‘No team can cope with the injuries’ - Newcastle have broken the PL record for injuries, needing to have 3 keepers on the bench at times, also with only 1 actual CB available and are getting results. The United team against palace actually had 8 of ETH’s best starting 11 playing, with another couple being his signings too. That team is good enough to get a result. Simply, they aren’t structured defensively at all and are not hard to beat - that’s on the manager

    Rasmus Hojlund is the most protected player at the Club. This mythical 'lack of service' he's been getting all season. If he actually had a decent first touch and a burst of acceleration, what a '£73 million striker' should have, then he should be able to make space for himself and get a shot off and make his own chances. And even if you want to argue he's big to accelerate, I question how good he is in the air. Doesn't win enough aerial duels for my liking. So many clueless fans saying he's the future of the Club, whereas in my book, he's as bad a signing as Onana, Antony, Mount, Casemiro, Martinez have been. Terrible player. If United had bought him from non-league I wouldn't be surpised. I guarantee you, you put McTominay upfront he would get more goals and create more off his own back than Hojlund.

    Under Ole we were saying we just need 3 players to be challenging for the title, then Ole had a bad run of results and was sacked. Ten Hag has had much worse results than Ole yet remains in charge. I agree with the caller who said bring Ole back for the final 4 games. The one name that hasn't been mentioned to replace Ten Hag is Laurent Blanc. He knows the club and the Premier league, played under the goat and has had success in management with PSG (although that's not difficult) and has managed big names as the French national coach. His style of football is a possession based attacking style and he's available. Come on Jim get on the phone and offer him the job.

    Ten Hag has serious questions to answer why Antony he bought at 100m is not performing. There is no excuse if his system is not working. A player like Antony must be able to carry the team on his shoulder with his overwhelming dribbling skills, winning crucial fouls, free kicks and penalties for the side. Casemiro was the second resort after Frenkie de Jong. Mount is a waste when Bruno was better fit

    As someone that has followed Manchester United sine I was 6 years old (54 years) it's not just the manager that should be leaving but every single one of the first team should be shown the door and players brought in from the youth team and outside that are proud to be wearing the Manchester United shirts not just for the salaries... rebuild completely the way Alex Ferdinand did and be given around 3 to 4 years to do it.

    Casemiro, Antony, Onana, Rasmus, Lisandro, Malacia, Mount, Eriksen, All these players were good until they joined United, now the real problem is the coach and the staff nothing in their recruitment, for instance, how would you allow a coach to get rid of Fred just to bring in Moson mount? How on earth would you allow the coach to get rid of CR7 and Degea??? Amrabat, Evans, woughost) pathetic loans and recruitment.
    With all that power that he was given, he should have delivered results that can easily speak for themselves, for example, what Arteat did by getting rid of some senior and average players at Arsenal and bringing in new players that many fans didn't agree with him in first place like (Kai havertz, Trossard, David Raya) but actually if Arsenal manage to win this PL that would be on Arteta's choice and good tactics. WHICH TenHag can't get done at United because of his squad mismanagement and favoritism. Now there's no any other player that wants to play for him not even Rashford taht he praised and liked so much.

    I believe the only manager to turn this around would be Ancelotti.
    Even then its a tall order. Yes we need a huge clear out of players but we need a manager with Gravitas to attract new better players... or a manager brave enough to intergrate 4 or 5 of the youngsters... I am sure they cannot do any worse and I for one would be more forgiving seeing the youngsters mature... Im fed with the big name signings taking the money and under performing. Cannot think of one that has come good for us in the last 5 years except Bruno and I wouldnt be surprised or blame him if he was on the first bus out next season.

    Manchester United should Never had Fired Solskjaer.
    Should have Sold De Gea in 2020 and Should Never have Brought Ronaldo Back in 2021.
    Rangnick should have been Hired as a Director as I think Him and Solskjaer would Work Well Together.
    Manchester United Need a Manager Who has Intelligence and Knowledge of Tactics and the Profile of what Manchester United is about.
    Manchester United also Need Better Players Who can Play and Work Hard and Show Loyalty to the Fans.
    Also Manchester United should Focus on Signing Players from Britain Mostly and only Sign Foreigners from Proper Football Nations like France, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Germany and Portugal.
    One More Thing Stop Signing Players that are over the Age of 30 would also Help.
