Rashford should get the best out of Rashford not the manager or anybody else
Give him time he's only a young prospect... Still
Beat Liverpool that's all that matters đđđđđđđđ
Ask sourness united beat Liverpool đđ
I say this all the time, if you need another fully grown adult to tell you how to play football and pump you up for a game of football then I donât know what to tell you
You're not very smart are you? Rashford is a modern player his been at United since 7 gone through the academy it's been drilled and conditioned into him to listen to the manger and do what ever he says. Ask your self why EVERY player regresses at United then fans jump on them until they leave đ€
"Simon Jordan gained a reputation as a hirer-and-firer of managers early in his Crystal Palace ownership"
4:06 heres another mug deflecting the blame from Rashford. "The managers have to get the best out of him". Is Rashford some sort of a charity project we are not aware of?
đđđ
Rashford apparently loves the club....by about ÂŁ300k/week, or ÂŁ15.6m/year...let that amount of totally obscene money sink in for those who pay to watch him and work hard for maybe ÂŁ30k/year,. I'm fed up with these over-paid self-important prima donnas being here and getting manager after manager sacked whilst basking in the untouchable environment the Glazer leeches created
Tbh what's the point in blaming Rashford its been done its boring now I'm sure Simon got bored of it
@@petershortland478 what are you talking about? When has Rashy taken any blame! He always get off scott free. Iâm sick of all those players
Ten Haags as much of a scrub as Rashford đ€·ââïž
Rashford is the only professional football player I have ever seen who looks as though he doesn't want to play football. I have never seen such a miserable fed-up looking player on a football pitch. It's almost as though having to play in front of 70,000 at Old Trafford on a Saturday is getting in the way of his personal life. He should maybe do a few nightshifts stacking shelves in a supermarket to maybe appreciate the position he's in.
Yes. alot of players and people need to get some perspective some times. Fully agree
True
^ This.
Rashford has had LVG, Mourinho, Ole, Rangnick and ten Hag. Heâs had different managers in terms of their man management, tactical setup and overall football approach. He is 26 years old and on 375k a week.
WHEN is it going to be down to him to improve? If a 26 year old postman constantly needs his bosses to help him deliver letters on time then he is in serious trouble. Why do footballers get free passes?
Mr. I owned a football club absolutely shat himself when asked the role of a number 10.
loool innt
He doesn't have a clue. Just on the show to be a pantomime dame.
ahahahah
Oooooh has he triggered you pal
So heâs achieved more on his life than you then đ€Šđ»ââïž
Although Ten Hag has been questionable at best with team selections and playing style this season, the players are throwing yet another manager under the bus as Keano rightly pointed out. Marcus Rashford is the biggest disgrace i've ever seen on a football field. Has zero football IQ and can't be bothered to put the bare minimum effort in and is on 350k a week. I don't think I have ever disliked a footballer more,. possibly Antony.
Yet Ten Hag continues to play him every game and takes off better players before himâŠ
Erik Ten Hag is exposing trashford low key by fielding him week in week out so the world can see how bad of a player he is with a toxic mindset not a team player
â@@tha3rdmhlongozwa158He's not doing that deliberately.
This football "IQ" garbage from you kids is cringe. Heâs terrible at reading the game defensively and puts zero effort in winning the ball back but when he faces up heâs direct and can be good when heâs full of confidence he just needs a new club.
Why all the hate for Antony though? I back him. Onana is starting to improve which is good too.
I'm loving how Erik Ten Hag is exposing trashford low key by fielding him week in week out so that the world can see how toxic he is instead of bashing him in the media a wise person Will notice this but a fool Will always call out for Erik Ten Hag
Yeah because that's totally what a manager should be doing: playing players every game not because they're playing well enough but deliberately in order to expose them ...
will rashford get in the england team for the euros
Ten Hag keeps playing him FFS
@@Caskchapmate! He clearly has to play him. If he doesnât he will influence the other players to not work for him. Either that or itâs in his contract that he has to play or something. Get these players out
This is exactly what's happening. Except if ten hag goes, rashford goes too.
Billion pounds in last decade spent as Souness said but, Chelsea spent that in a year. People never seem to register that.
Very good point and theyâve spent more than City and yet City is the bad guy buying the league, yet MU has spent more in the same 10yrs and to your point, Chelsea spent more in a year than MU and MC in 10, but City are the spending problem. Make it make sense

In all seriousness, pundits donât really comprehend Marcus Rashford. How many more managers must he work under to unlock his full potential? Of the five he's played under, two are highly esteemed tacticians with multiple honors, including Champions League victories. Erik Ten Hag, also highly respected, dominated Eredivisie before joining United. Some may dismiss Eredivisie as a "farmers league," but my point is, Rashford has been coached by three mentors known for player development. It's simplistic to say "a manager needs to get the best out of him," suggesting previous coaches were inept, despite their successes with players like Arjen Robben and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Louis Van Gaal, hailed by Giggs and Rooney as the best tactician they worked under, exemplifies this. Are they all wrong?
So, where does this leave Marcus Rashford? It's ultimately up to him to put the work in, something pundits overlook. Strip away football, he seems unhappy. Man Utd should recognise this and prioritise his well-being over performance.
It's unfair to burden another coach when five prior couldn't. Rashford's breakthrough also coincided with club turmoil post-SAF. This likely affected him, given his responsibility and age.
Southgate, too, must shoulder responsibility. Rashford's consistency reflects favouritism, impacting other talented players like Eze and Palmer. Their exclusion sends a dangerous message.
Where are Marcus's advisers? They see his struggle but fail to confront it. If it were up to me, I'd give him two choices: excel in top-level football or opt for a lucrative, less demanding league like Saudi Arabia.
Time waits for no one
Banter Utd isn't a top club anymore. It's commercially one of the biggest, but in footballing terms, it's just a mid table club
While all they do is pay the Glazers and their debt off, they'll stay in a mess in for perpetuity
MU isnât a big club, so why talk about them on a daily then?
Itâs because they are.
"Commercially its one of the biggest" but now with proper ownership, we won't stay a mess we will compete soon.
Oh please, itâs cringeworthy when anyone says that. If weâre talking recency only then 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 7th isnât a mid table club. Yes they arenât performing and are pathetic currently, but again, thats recency bias. Commercially, fan wise, club stature, historically, Man Utd are still a massive club which is evidently obviously.
Perspective in reality and full context matters, not what you feel about the club and happy theyâre in a bad state. Where are ChelseaâŠstill one of the biggest clubs in England. Where have Villa been all these yearsâŠstill the 6th/7th biggest club in England. Recency bias is irrelevant and saying âmid tableâ is lazy rhetoric of a factually false reflection based on form only. If Arsenal win the league this year, that doesnât make them a bigger club.
Ten Hag really hasn't helped himself best of times but is he the main issue at the club no he's not. The main issue is on these players that've got previous managers sacked for downing tools & show such weak mentality. We can't keep swapping managers every 2/3 years. A vast clearout is needed & with a proper footballing structure in place we can only see vast improvements overall both on & off the pitch. It's gonna take time & patience tho. That is why I'd give Ten Hag another year working under a proper footballing structure then take it from there
Spot on. Sums up the situation at United perfectly.
Tuchel in as manager, Harry Kane follows him to United, with Sancho part exchange and sold to Bayern Munich đź
Souness right about Weghorst decision. Ten Hag is an Ajax level manager.
That was a great call abs, you literally echoed where I am with the club, manager and players
Iâm not a United fan but to keep changing the manager doesnât seem to work for them.
And this guy is?
â@@richardjones8699 Gareth Southgate please
Yeah thatâs how businesses work , if you fail at your job then why should I pay you , if you hired someone to build your house and they kept making mistakes would you keep paying him to make mistakes
You're a United fan.
Fergie still in control there lies the problem.
Jim White doesnât like the word âembarrassedâ but has no problem with the word âbottlersâ⊠what a snivelling little weasel he is.
Iâm not even joking, if Utd sack ETH they should bring in someone like, Allardyce, Pulis, Warnock, Steve Bruce.. you know the usual prem journeymen
They'll definitely keep them up next year
I said years ago that Rashford is the luckiest person ever born
I think Graham is right sir jim as made his mind up eth knows n players no unity no togetherness no team spirit hes got to 3 finals in 2 years thats not bad for this squad which is in transition
Erik Ten Years please.
All honest Man U fans would be embarrassed
Abs made great points, not emotional but accurate.
I was thinking the same. Well spoken and quite articulate (unlike the majority of MU fans)
As a United fan I have openly backed Ten Hag but at this point I just don't get what he's trying to do. You see Newcastle play howes football, even with all their injuries but see a lack of football with United's injuries. I can't see this changing next season if he stays now, where is the tactics and game management?
As a newcastle fan its never been easier to play against you. it will be the first time newcastle finish above man u in history under ETH which is damming.
I hope he stay 2 more seasons so Man United will be relegated. This team is not a PL team anymore.
Simon asks what is the evidence from the past 2 years that makes people hopefull for the next two years under ten hag. Here are the following reasons i submit humbly which makes me hopeful -:
1) Erik ten hag sides now cover more distance and reach more finals as compared to van Gaal, Mourinho and oley
2) Establishment of clear team rules which are not designed for catering to personal egos. Removal of Sancho and Ronaldo 2.0 were great moves.
3) elimination of players not justifying astronomical salaries. David de gea, Cristiano Ronaldo, jadon Sancho last season and by the end of this season with martial and hopefully rashford.
4) sustained identification, development of talent with garnacho and mainoo as well as atleast three more kids being consistently in the starting eleven in the next two years.
5) routinely competing and occasionally beating sides such as city , Arsenal and Liverpool without even completing two years of project United. Liverpool have come to United thrice now under ten hag and not won once.
6) keeping the fiscal health of united healthy by eliminating players on 300 , 350 and even one player and 650 k a week who were no where near justifying their salaries making room for players deserving higher salaries
7) competence and decency of the manager while dealing with fans , journalists, sponsors 99 percent of the time .
8) Adapting to 60 plus injuries and still doing a job
9) Making peace with decisions that are beyond his control such as trying to get a striker in January, Mason Greenwood not being integrated back to the squad etc and not crying about it in the media.
10) reliance on academy as an equal weightage option to the transfer market through deeds and not words.
Also just as a little bit of feedback would request talksport to be a bit nimble in getting quality pundits. Sounds is falling into Hargreaves, Roy Keane, karen , Neville, and carraghar territory fast. Rooney and vidics punditry is honest , simple and bang on. Simon + jim + Rooney + vidic is a million views an episode almost guaranteed . That is the only way to stem the tripe that those so called pundits offer. Currently it seems only Simon and him are single handedly pulling the show forward. C'mon talksport youv got it in you to get this done â€
Change of formation was key. Surprise is 70 percent of the fire fight. Manu UTD did not adapt immediately so tactically and strategically together with over confidence was the result. The last goal in extra for Coventry should have stood, however for a team like Manchester UTD it was pathetic. If it had been the latter half of a basket ball game not reading the tactical change they would of got hammered,
The goal was offside in xt why should it have stood ?
Rashford has been sulking every game since his mate sancho got shipped out
Ten Hag must stay!!! Pure madness to get rid of him
Exactly! Man Utd fans want him to stay and opposition fans absolutely want him to stay.
Definitely ETH in đđđ
As a City fan, Iâd love to see him in Unitedâs dugout next season
Yes he has to stay and be given even more moneyđ
Anyone remember how the Galatasaray game was exactly the same? It says a lot about the mentality of the players that the exact same scenario played out on numerous occasions. Getting a whole fresh team with ten hag would be the solution but we know that wonât happen because of recruitment. Keep Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund, maybe Martinez when heâs back, the rest can move on - wouldnât miss them at all.
bro those results are the managers fault. youve never been easier to beat. hes made no good signings and your getting worse under himđ. no logic
@@craig-rp9jh Signings arenât in the managers hands though and there are multiple people involved in the signing process. Itâs the same problem theyâve had with all the managers since SAF. Theyâll sack the manager and have the same problem unless INEOS sort out the recruitment.
Jim united fans don't travel to London, they travel to Wembley from London!đ
đđđđ
Absolutely the fans are embarrassed.
Happy to be in the final, yes.
But the manner in which they beat coventry. Given the huge difference in the clubs. And the 0-3 lead.
It raises more alarms than celebrations
Graeme: Simon, what's a number 10?
Simon: errr well you know
And which club did Simon Jordan manage again? *cupping my ears*
Ten Hag took the team to 3 cup finals in 2 years.
Won 1 of them, the first silverware since Mourinho. That's 5 seasons.
Have the 5th best point per match average since his appointment after City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Managed the club with 60 different combinations at the back in one season.
Dealing with few players in the dressing room who does not care about prestige and pride
Worked with a system of failure where recruitment was not at its top
And for god sake, he's only in his 2nd season. We all know the hockey stick graph. We need to wait more. It is clear as water to me.
All I think is the media likes feeding of the negative publicity of Manchester United.
There is too much player power ruining utd. Until ineos implement a meritocracy and hold players to account nothing will change, new manager or not. ETH needs another twelve months.
ETH may not be the right man but Ineos need to back him to send a message to the dressing room.
đź not a word on Hojlund walking around no tracking back just runs at the keeper then watches every game. Stats show it less touches tackles than Rashford
2 months no goals.
ÂŁ72 million silence
Your clueless if you think he walks around. Besides bruno he presses more than anyone in the frontline
Of course united fans will take it, but alarm bells are ringing all over the place! Iâm very happy we didnât get rid of the manager mid season and repeat the interim/Rangnick debacle!
However as we get to the summer, we need to focus on dealing with that squad. Too many players are constantly underachieving. The manager is not the biggest problem, however he may not ultimately be the right man, that said unless we can get a genuine bonafide upgrade (an Anchelotti or the like!) then changing the manager in itself doesnât solve the problem.
The amount of money invested into likes of rashford is why no manager will drop him, heâs an asset to the club that they canât afford to devalue on the bench, wouldnât surprise me
If his contract stipulates gametime
Why you guys not talking about the disallowed goal and that it needs over turning appealing ?
Poor old Coventry given zero consideration for the way that they played to get back in the game and arguably won

I am sick of the cycle of sacking manager after manager and those players surviving another cycle of down tools . I'm completely agree with the caller
The players are not good enough for Manchester United and felt sorry for Coventry but they can hold their heads high after that comeback could be the most exciting game Iâve seen, think City will win the final.

managers not good enough either mate
I would not necessarily comment, but damnit, Souness speaking of Weghorst in the no10 position as if it didnt work against Barcelona and Newcastle in the cup final. Now hes talking like he's some genius of a manager. Everyone knew Weghorst was at times used as a 10 to bring Rashford to a scoring position against a very compact team last season not because the manager thought he was clever of a 10, he was used to open up space for Rashford. As a matter of fact, Sabltzer began to play higher up in the no 10 position after Eriksen got injured. and btw Weghorst started more as a striker than a 10. I just couldnt listen to this past where they cant, Both of them, cannot define who a No 10 is. "some of what Harry Kane does" lol
Ten Hagg has to go. Yes the squad is awful but Eric added to the mounting pile of deadwood when he signed Eriksen, Antony and Mount.
80 million for Antony who can't get a start over a youth player but he's Eric's best man. Eriksen aka stumpy has no legs but Eric wanted him. Mount the best player hes played against in holland đ doesnt even know what to do with him when hes fit.
Also if we kept De Gea Utd would be higher up the table.
How does this man keep playing Rashford?
This guy hasn't got a clue.
Spot on, most of Ten hags signings haven't been good enough. Onana is dreadful.
Eriksen was hardly dead would, cost them nothing in transfers and isn't anywhere near their highest players. Brings quality and experience to help young ones. The problem is the big money signings
And within 18mos (insert next United manager here) will be on the same exact chopping block. The blind spot too many people have for this roster of players is nothing short of astonishing.
Manchester United are deep in the phase Liverpool were for 30 years before they won a league title again. I hope it does not take Manchester Untied another two decades.
Simon should manage the club, he knows so much about it.
Just want to say I love Simon â€
Why tho?
That is one game you feel embarrassed to win. Says a lot about the manager and the team.
Simon Jordan got a bevvy face đ»đ€Šđżââïžđđ
Weghorst played at #10 because rashford needed someone to do some of his defensive work and that allowed him to score the amount of goals he scored last season.
Digging out Martinez for his debut 18 months ago , really poor take from Simon . Injuries aside , brilliant player .
I love Simon Jordans opinion on Man Utd
Let me help Graeme. Varane, Martinez, Malacia, Shaw, Evans, Mount, Amrabat, Martial, Kambwala, Lindelof, Rashford and Mctominay were late inclusions but not passed fit. Thats why they had kids on the bench, most of our squad was out for the game, again. They have lost 1306 hours to injuries and have 12 players out as of today, the most in the premier league.
Ten Hag is a class manager. Made it to a cup final with a paper thin squad and a very good first year. If he gets sacked heâs gonna end up at one of the best clubs in Europe. These clowns donât have a clue.
ye tell that to convetry đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
đđJim white :to simon Jordan who are you mistic Meg đ€Šđżââïžđđđđđ
Player power!
If Ten Hag wanted to save his job, he shouldâve brought more youth players through to replace those he doesnât trust- showing the world how bad Rashford has only shown Ten Hag in a bad light.
Fergie would not have played under performing players!!!
Hindsight is a beautiful thing.
I am not a United fan, but from my observations are that a lot of United fans ARE embarrassed by how they beat Coventry, it is not media driven.
Why is the manager blamed
The players are throwing another manager under the bus
It's their mentality and failure
They've imploded all
Season
Manager needs another year
The players need the blame
đso united we're good enough to get 3 up but shitty enough to allow Coventry back in in the 93rd minute
True, but they deservedly knocked Liverpool out, who couldn't beat such a poor utd team all season.
If one had failed as a manager, I don't believe they should have the guts to criticise managers at work
The signing of Anthony has not done Ten Hag any favours
Jordan nearly evaporated when Souness asked him the role of a number 10 ..turtleneck nearly exposed again ..
Iâm not sure United fans can afford to buy tickets for the final in this economy⊠I mean flights from Singapore and Hong Kong are ridiculous right now.
I tell you why why he WILL still be United Manager next season . Over the last decade or so since Sir Alex retired we have sacked had 7 different managers including interims with zero accountability . Sir Jim and INEOS must make sure the players have most oof the accountabilty for these rubbish performances. Some of these players have let several managers down and they need to go not the manager. Also ETH has kept us in contention for European football depite a horrendous injury list this season and has reached a 2nd successive FA Cup Final having also finished 3rd and won the EFL Cup last season with a mediocre squad.
Just papering over the cracks. No playing style. Poor midgame tactics. Odd substitions. Some dire transfers. A questionable approach to training. Unless things markedly improve performance wise in the remaining games he'll be gone.
After spending a billion quid you are saying the squad's mediocre?
Er....WON'T. 100%.
đź ok pundits experts et al
Look at the VAR line as shown on photos for the disallowed Coventry goal.
OK
Then compare it to the goal area lines The var line is at a different angle twisted to put the Coventry player offside Yet the goal area lines are 45 degrees the other way at least.
If your using var at least match it to the pitch đ
Look and you can see it clearly
Said Jose was too defensive then said Jose over Wenger đ
if simon and sousness say he'll be gone then he'll win a quadruple next season đ
So I guess âThe magic of the FA Cupâ doesnât count when a smaller team puts up a classic against Manchester United?
If that was any other team, theyâd say it was a classic game.
Itâs fine saying peddle Rashford on (which I agree with), but whoâs going to buy him? đ€·ââïž
why they always wanna blame the manager, what about the players they have had multiple managers sacked why not try him under a new structure
3-0 up then collapse that's on the players ..rashford can't be arsed running that's on him .media took the piss out of Ralph rangnick now he's the wisest man in the room ..funny how time makes a fool out of the media again and again posh boys pretending to be football anoraks .
Parasites who didn't see SAF's first few year's, or Klopp's, or Arteta's. Ten Hag is not the issue at United. He's the reason we won the Carabao, qualifies for the CL, and are in our second FA Cup final. He has the highest win ratio of any United manager, and is the quickest ever United manager to get to 50 wins.
Meanwhile, Rashford is on the 6th manager, Bruno on his 4th, Mctominay on his 5th, Maguire on his 4th, Lindelof on his 4th, Shaw on his 4th....Rangnick was right about 13-14 new players being required.
Ten Hag is forced to play with repeat failures, backstabbers amd primadonnas. Get rid of them ......and work with him to build a culture, squad and playing style.
Man Utd need to reset their salary cap.Invest in their youth academy and stop living off past glory.LiverpĂČol went 30 years without a title and if they keep going for a quick fix,it won't work
At the end it is all about winning prizes.
The Casimero pen was just plain stupid
If it had been Man utd that had come back from 3 down it would have been the greatest come back in history, the other way round not a dicky bird
The spending is absolutely irrelevant!! Doesnât make a blind bit of difference
Man utd are not a big club anymore there just absolutely shite and as a Liverpool fan I love it
They ended your season, didn't they?
Looking forward to Southgate at utd and slippy Steve at Liverpool next year boys....
@@sitaylor is the season over
i agree with jordan, eth cant handle the united pressure
Every single world class manager has failed at that club, so its obviously not the manager. The problem is the club infrastructure and organisational chart which is broken. Its a board level problem, nothing else.
They need a massive clear out of dead wood. Some of the players go back to Mourinho. Werenât good enough then and still not good enough now.
Also transfer history has been pretty poor. They seem to pay big money for players who never get better. Exact opposite of what goes on at city
Some of these utd fans are delusional, what players are still there from the van gaal era? Surely only 3-4 are left, most of the players that are left were signed by either ole or Eric seven Haag! Utd havenât hit the bottom yet!
Why is no one talking about 60+ injuries, oh by the way, it was never ever a penalty, where is AWB supposed to put his arm, absolutely disgraceful decision. Even Dermit Gallagher on ref watch said he didn't think it was a penalty. Coventry got 2 massive bits of luck, that 2nd goal was a fluke and how can you legislate for such a poor penalty decision.
Two lucky goals for Coventry

A scumchester fan talking about luck đđđđđ
Wake up man. It's the lazy players and the manager
@anthonytaylor7590 really, first English club to play in the European Cup, first English club to win the European Cup, still the biggest club in England. You're just jealous, everyday united are talked about, that tells you how much hate united get and that is bourne out of jealousy.
Rashford should nt play at all he has nothing to offer at the moment except for garnacho dalot and HoƱlland no bodies else runs. Bruno runs in the wrong place and m tominay is always in the way of houlland âŠ. . Coventry very unlucky yesterday most Utd supporters would say it
Not the managers fault players so poor ⊠why does rashford even get picked? Is it in his contract that he must play every game ? Seems so !
I honestly donât think any of the players yesterday were giving half effort other than rashford. Itâs only rashford. Even when we were playing decent and dominating the game, I was begging them not to give the ball to rashford. He was by far the worst player on the team and I donât understand why ten haag took garnacho off instead of him
'When I mention Rashford, do you know what I think of?'
We all know the true answer was Paul Pogba đđđ
Simon always knows what's going to happen after the fact.
Souness shamelessly forgets how bad Liverpool were before klopp.. they bought terrible players.. we havenât even dipped that low
They never got beat 7.0 while half billion squad though
â@ryanlodge5814 But Liverpool still managed to finish 6th that season while Utd finished 3rd. đ
Tenhagg is being forced to play rashford and is being
dishonest in hiding it from the fans.
Players should be accountable for there own performances, a manager picks the team but they are not giving everything for him, the fans or the badge. Three finals in two years we need to back the manager and get rid of the players.
why does the manager not have to be equally accountable, any decebt manager and you win that game comfortably mate
Biggest club in the world? I'd love to know his criteria.
