Gary I want you to know this is one of the best interviews you and your team have done, and I’m going to tell you why. 1) You were fair and honest with your questions. 2) You allowed Erik to speak, without shunning his beliefs, or imposing the fans and medias biases. 3) You gave him a platform to have an honest and hard conversation. 4) You allowed space for Erik to be human, like all of us who have to perform at a high level through scrutiny, criticism, and emotionally charged environments. 5) Multiple times your questions gave the fans and viewers an opportunity to see a man trying his best to perform at a high level and asking for patience and the vision to do his job. 6) Lastly, growth and change are not for the faint of heart. It requires suffering, diligence, and commitment to higher standards than were initially in place. With that comes setbacks, bounce backs, and eventually the success at the end of the process.
Thank you for taking the time to do this interview and further my belief in this man as our coach, our manager, and our leader. I believe Erik, if supported, has the tools to rise us from the ashes to surpass our previous glory as a club.

Nothing is linear. It’s all about development, improvement in increments, and time. Yes at the professional level results matter more than anything because of the shear amount of money being pumped into the club and game. However, just because that’s the way it is, that doesn’t change the “time” needed for all humans to begin to work in the same direction at a high level.

Speaking as a lifelong United Supporter, We need to Keep Ten Haag for multiple reasons:
1- The first manager to finally hold his ground against our spoiled players(Martial, Sancho, Rashford, etc) and have the backing of the club to do so, while keeping a level head and maintaining professionalism. Jose Tried, they decided to back Pogba and Co. !!
2- How can we evaluate a manager when he hasn’t had his first team available since the season started, and didn’t have the proper structure/support behind him?
3- Continuity is Key. If the players and staff know that the club is 100% behind him and there is no way for them to sabotage, they will get in line fast.
4- We have needed to clean house for at least 6-7 years. We will not be able to achieve that if we keep changing short and long term plans with manager changes. Let him finally get rid of the driftwoods and properly restart the project.
5- There will be no champions league football for us next season, so there is no pressure to preform there, so its the perfect season to recalibrate, regroup and restructure.
If They replace him, we will be in the same predicament 2 years from now. The guy knows how to build a winning team, give him one last chance while properly backing him. If it doesn’t work, we will be in the same place we are right now, can’t possibly go any lower than this, can we?!
Potter will repeat his failure at Chelsea, he can’t handle big names. Tuchel and Conte have the wrong attitude for united even though they know how to win. Southgate is completely unproven at the club level. Zidane will fail because united doesn’t have Madrid’s structure to back him, yet.
Lets see if the new people in charge are any better than the old ones….

When you take a closer look at the our team in the last 10 years apart from Moyes , every other manager that came had a 2nd woeful and terrible season. All of them. They start doing something and it falls apart. Eric is no exception to that order. The managers take the fall, but not the owners. The buying decisions have been questionable. We even had better players in the squad like selling Smalling, Rojo, Baily cos of Maguire. Please explain to me how is that sensible. The coaches always play to the players ability 1st season and 2nd when they want to transition into theirs it falls apart. Then the media turns the events into money printing cos of the headlines they get. Eric has help bring back some sanity. He is helping the brand and team, they should help him. The player power is just too crazy. A team where our best player over the majority of those years was Degea

Jurgen klopp won 1 prem 1 Champions League with a 10-year career at Liverpool and is hailed as one of the best managers in the prem. He's had no where near the dominance that pep has had. But what he's done is been accepted by the fans and been allowed to have years without success. United fans need to understand that there is no quick fix to this problem.
United need to start giving mangers time and go through highs and lows in order to give a manager their own legacy. To get to two Cup finals with this club and it's constant cries for silverware, where it has been nowhere near obtaining for these last years. It's a joke to get this man sacked, there are no Alex fergusons left in the game that are avaliable. Alex ferguson could only get to fa cup/carabao finals with this squad. Respect what you got, keep with the process and make a story with him.
He's brought through, Mainoo (automatically in England) Garnacho, Hoijland, Martinez, he's identified players with the right attitude who want to play, amongst a 23 man squad who have played trophy less season and down tools for evey manager that has come in. You need to flush and build something and you have the best you can have. Everyone of your players is up for sale it's time move forward.

The fact that the club sanctioned this interview so close to the end of the season says to me that EtH is probably going to stay on as manager. It would be really embarrassing for the club to let ten Hag do an extensive interview like this if they're planning on sacking him.
I for one hope he does stay on. People underestimate just how bad the injury crisis has been and I think, especially with all the background changes happening at the club, that he should be given the opportunity to prove himself under the new regime. He has a year left on his contract so give him that year to earn an extension and if it doesn't work out, so be it.
It also shouldn't be disregarded that he's handed out 4 debuts this season, all of whom have played minutes in the Premier League and he's got two youngsters who have become first team starters. That's hugely important for a club like United and there's some crazy talent coming through the youth setup that will be looking to break into the first team in the next year or two and they will need a coach who promotes youth.

Here's something for perspective: Ten Hag has won more games in his first 100 games compared to Arteta and Klopp. He needs at least one more season, and he needs to be backed properly in the summer with some quality players - centre back, defensive midfielder, striker, and maybe a right back. To be realistic, the target for next season, is top 4 and a trophy. Once we get top 4, we'll be in the champions league, and we'll be able to attract better quality players. Then we can add one or two world class players, and then can get closer to the top 3, which Man city, Arsenal and Liverpool. Its a xliche, but it will take time to gradually build a squad that is capable of challenging for the league title. Remember, Arteta finished 8th in his first season, then finished 8th again in his second season, then finished 5th in his third season. It's a process.

Not to mention he's had CR7, Greenwood, Sancho, Rashford issues to deal with. Not to forget too since he came in we had uncertainty with the Takeover of United to contend with. Dont forget we all our strikers and were down to Weghorst before we got Rasmus...
Even with all of the above what has he done, Brought through Maino, Garnacho, and a few more youth talents, improved Rashy(last season), Dalot, AWB, 3 cup finals, 1 cup, remember this is only his 2nd season NO other Manager Klopp, PEP, Arteta have ever been judged after 2 seasons for me it shows the Media are against him.

I think he should get one more year. A year without drama, excessive injuries, and (hopefully) sensible owners

I'm really glad he got to do this interview. I really would like to have a season with the proper structure in place. I'm still not convinced about the on field tactics and performance, but the fact that he was unwilling to shift the blame the club and said he needed to take responsibility actually increased my faith in him. He knows it hasn't been good enough, even accounting for the injuries. Give him another season

You can have Guardiola, Anceloti and Klopp do a tag team job in United and they will still fail because of the board and people responsibe behind the scenes lol

I’ve been on the fence the last few months but this interview has swayed me to give him another year. We’re not gonna be able to change the whole squad in the next two windows anyway so we may as well let him ride out his last year under a proper structure. Wilcox and Ashworth will be buying players and getting rid of players according to a style of play so that takes the pressure off him and allows him to coach. Players like Rashford and Shaw, those that have waved goodbye to multiple managers need to leave. Hojlund, Mainoo, Garnaho etc are the future. He also talked about a high line, to play a high line you need rapid defenders which we don’t have. The guy has been working with scraps

Exactly, we need consistency in the managerial position. It’s clear Erik knows what is at stake and I have full confidence in him. We need to give him time. Not just 3 seasons but even 5 before we think of sacking him. He needs to be able to build a full squad and we need to give him the chance, unlike other managers before him.

I have always backed ETH. He has had to deal with alot since coming in. Didnt get the players he wanted, but he still put his head down and did his best. This is the one guy who will give us stability without making it all about him.
    Fully behind ETH!

the way a team plays also has huge impact on how many injuries occur due to fatigue. along with it, theres nutrition, training, recovering, and physio teams who need to on top of each individual player needs.
