- Thanks to Triumph Central London for letting me out on their bike. You can enquire about demoing it with them here:
www.lind.co.uk/triumph/london
They also have their Rocket 3 launch day on the 18th where you can book demos on the day, but if you want to be sure to get a spin on one I'd recommend getting in touch with them in advance.

I had dinner, opened CZcams saw your review , got impressed , I rushed to the dealership bought it immediately I felt happy and then I woke up.
One day you will save enough to buy this bike and wake up on delivery day...
"It makes you want to slow down so you can accelerate again!"
Perfect!
As someone who, years ago, spent 3 years, (1980's), as a London Despatch Rider it is really refreshing to watch someone who knows how to ride/filter London traffic and gets the job done.
On the rare occassions I ride in London these days I even see 125cc scooters sitting in traffic queues.
The common thing in all Rocket 3 reviews, is that the first time any rider has the chance to open the throttle, they start laughing.
That is the reason to buy this bike if such interests you - to have some of those laughs of your own.
Well said Tim. It's addictive. I couldn't care less for scratching...but open her up on a nice straight stretch of road and grin away....my kinda bike....
Instant smile just twist the wick
That is the reason I bought mine. I couldn't stop laughing.
That's why I bought a SDR, I was laughing. I am sure this would make me laugh too!
@@KBBF3 are you still laughing? And more importantly, are you still alive??
Test rode one today. Absolute beast 💪. Loved it
I’ve never bothered to leave comments on a CZcams review but had to write to say thanks for such a comprehensive review. Easy to listen too, really enjoyable and without doubt the most engaging and “personal” review on the internet! (I’ve just sent an email to my dealer asking for a p/x price for my Bobber Black and a test drive).
Thank you. 20 minutes well spent!
Cheers Steve - appreciate the kind words!
Saw one up close a few months ago at a local meet. Impressive to look at. Equally awesome to hear/feel starting up and taking off down the road, like thunder in a box. 👍
Hands down the best/most comprehensive first ride reviews available on YT! Not to mention the production value. 👏👏 Thanks for another awesome video! Keep killin it, brotha! 🤙😎
Thanks mate. Much appreciated! 👍👍👍
I've been riding an M109r for the last 7 years. This bike is definitely calling my name...
Great review. Most impressed with your eye for the details of the bike. All those little details - centre cap on rear wheel, T logo on radiator guard, drilled holes on bar end caps - all these things add up to a whole and Triumph quality is getting better and better yr on yr. Top job MOTOBOB.
Cheers Mark much appreciated
We always take a peek at ourselves in the passing reflections.
Very good, comprehensive, coverage of this great bike! Watched a lot of the reviews, on this machine , this is the best!. Hope to have one of these bikes soon! Keep up the good work.
Great review, loved your presentation style. What a great bike, would love to own one.
Excellent review Bob. Thank you for posting. Your channel is going from strength to strength!
Thanks Phil! Good times 👍
I want this. This is the first good review I've seen. Thanks for putting it out there!
Cheers Wesley 🙌
Great review along with Chops. I’m off to my Triumph dealer soonest to have a good look and book a test ride. Thanks. Yours aye, Alan
I sold my Thunderbird to a Triumph fan, who rode his Rocket III out to look at it. He let me take the Rocket for a spin. That thing absolutely warped Time and Space. Little babies became old men.
so you are stating that it is extremely slow, as in that movie with Mr. Bean waiting for a ride and sees someone in the distance, but by time that guy gets there, his bike is moving at the pace of a slower walk.
that would be the only time little babies became old men.
@@djohnson3678 You have to know Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity to understand why little babies become old men after a short ride.
@@djohnson3678 what he meant by little babies became old man is that he rode it for short time but it was like he has ridding for ages.........it was soo familiar
Great review, hardly need to ride one after listening to your description and commentary.
I swear, you have one of if not the best intros for motorcycle reviews. Keep it up
Thanks MB! Appreciate it
I rode for about 30 years all told. If I could still ride, this would be an awesome choice.
I just saw a brand new Rocket III 2500 GT today at Hermys Triumph and BMW in Pa. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was!!!
Thanks yet again MOTOBOB...I get my TFC next week....slightly over excited!!
Jonathan - BREATHE
Great vid! I have a 2007 Rocket Classic and you have made me want the new Rocket!
Cheers Jim! Recommend at least taking one for a spin :)
Solid video! Cheers from Berlin and keep up the good work, man! 🙌🏽
great review brother, will be checking one out in a couple of days purely for the experience of riding such a bike. Love the channel mate.
Cheers AE! Hope you enjoy the bike - it is indeed an experience. I’m heading out with Triumph to portugal in a few weeks to ride one on some proper roads - can’t wait
I'm loving my '20 Rocket 3 GT :) can't stop smiling when riding ( I am a multi brand owner of various styles and brands, 30+ year rider )
Who wouldn't, weren't all we boys dreaming of a bike with a huge engine:) Your dream came true!
"It's a bit of a work out on ya abs" Yes, this and more. Helps my beer gut 😅😂😂😂😂
Not sure I could convince my wife that I want to buy a rocket because I want to get in shape...
Surely it’s main rival is the Ducati Diavel not the Fatbob?
had the older R3 and that was a beast this new one looks great cant wait for my test ride
Enjoy!
Fantastic video amazing bike looking forward to seeing more videos 👍
Just rode one myself, NOT hype !!! No it's not perfect but damn it's close. Not the smoothest suspension ever, ie; not as good as an Indian but better than my Road King. So much torque coming from such a smooth engine, so little drama when you overtake and plenty of braking power when you need it. With such a big tyre front and back, the biggest surprise was its agility, more than just good. Fit and finish is top notch and it is perhaps the lack of need for anything extra that makes it good value too, apart from bags it has everything you need and enough power that only a select few will find a need to fiddle with the engine.
Your review encouraged me to go ride one, it is light years ahead of the old model and has made it to the top of my list. I'm a die hard V twin fan and had the new Indian Darkhorse Springfield lined up as my next purchase, familiar but better, much better than my Harley but this, this is just awesome.
sorry man, i luv indian too, but this bike shits on the indian & HD go get one!!
@@kulaak-krii nup sorry.. have you ridden this new bike? how would you know?
TheTripleDubya aka Dubya 07 Take the Indian. Great tourers.
Excellent as always!
Keep up the good work.
Thank you
My pleasure!
Excellent video, encouragement for me to take a test ride. You did seem to enjoy the ride yourself and I liked your one hand confident style !
Haha thanks. Normally I get comments telling me off for that. Who can’t ride with one hand?! What if you need to wipe your visor...?
Rocket man, burning out his fuse up here alone!
I have a big heavy 4x4 land rover disco that weighs 1,854kg with a 2ltr engine with 180 torque.
This bike has a 2.5ltrs engine with 210 torque.
A fraction of the weight of my car and way more power... incredible 😳
180 what?
Big difference between NM and LB/ft
I like it, gonna test ride one this summer. 👍🏽
Never seen the new one in person but the previous rocket 3, I thought was massive
Lane splitting like a boss. Wish I could do that legally here in my state in the US. As always, great review!
I think that’s legal only in California. Weird considering how regulation-happy that state is.
Great review. Still in love with my Rocket Roadster so cannot see making the leap, yet.
yeah I love my 2017 Rocket Roadster! Cant see myself making the leap either. My favorite thing about the new one is the single swing arm and the overall look! But as far as the ride I don't think it will be much different at least not 15,000 different lol.
Did a test ride a couple of weeks ago...and yeah you can't help but laugh every time you gun it
Wonderful job, man, watching your reviews from Ukraine! Inspiration guaranteed! Thank you. Keep on rolling!
Cheers VF appreciate the feedback!
when i was 6 or 7 my dad bought one of these. i have fond memories on the back of this bike
Just bought one. Exactly same bike. Arriving in October. Can’t wait.
Mark Weymouth nice! Do you live somewhere where there’s no snow?
Jack Adams very rarely....
Great review. I just got my GT and I agree with most everything to said. #Rocket3Lovers
It does look well engineered and nicely finished!
It's a Triumph so it only looks that way but it's not really.
A great review, there are certain bikes and cars that I have owned in the past that gives you that certain feeling when you climb on or get in - I can’t describe it really other than it feeling like an event - the bike I personally I’m on about is a Honda CBX which had a six into one exhaust and sounded epic and the other being a 6.2 V8 C 63 Mercedes - again it sounded epic and they both felt like an event - you can’t beat it !! I haven’t had a motorcycle for approximately 15 years - the last being a Suzuki 1200 bandit - yet after seeing the new triumph rocket I am so tempted 🧐🧐. We all know the days of these monsters are limited 😢 but it would be great to say I have had one rather than I wish I had !! Stay safe👍
God, I wish I could drive one, but I haven't the money or experience required to operate it. One day, maybe. Hopefully
First time Ive come across your channel, really impressed. friends keep saying i shoudl check out the new Rocket GT, you have just encouraged me!
Nice review Rob. Taking this actual bike out on Saturday so thanks for running it in for me! You also rode past my house (almost) and past my work.
Enjoy David! Hope you manage to get out of the traffic
Me and my bike mate have it booked back to back with a Scrambler 1200 XE so we should have 2 hours? hopefully get out west to Dorking etc for some back lane fun
@@davidg1230 That sounds like a good plan - two great bikes to do it on as well!
Good review, my favourite looking Triumph,
Cheers MM
Love Triumphs. I own a 02 Daytona and the triple is unbeatable for exhaust note.
Fantastic looking have to get one!!!
This is the second time in my life that I'm in love with a bike. First time was with the Kawasaki Z1 back in 1972. I like the Red Rocket 3 R my self but for £20K I will have to wait a few years till I can buy a second hand one.
Sounds like a plan - I'm sure a few will go back to the dealers after their PCP period is up because people won't want to settle the lump sum.
wow what a beauty the black version its so wicked i love big bike that why i owned a KAWASAKIi GT 1400 i like the torque i saw on your video 2.5 liter bigger than a regular car that a bike for me.ride safe mate
Brilliant review, presentation skills are great too.
Thanks Adrian - much appreciated
What a beautiful bike... If I lived in a country with nice roads, good quality tarmac and not so much traffic, I'd consider buying one of those for cruising around.
Where do you live? 🤔🤔🤔
Excellent review, very professional & good to watch, it's obvious that you put a lot of effort into your vlogs. One of my favourite channels to watch , all the best
Thanks Geoff appreciate it
@@motobob 👍👍😎
@@motobob you've come a long way from your ER bike days.
@MOTOBOB your reviews are way more professional than the average. Well done fella.
T'riffic video as ever Rob - I'd love a go on one of these monsters.....hopefully my time will come (have to find me a friendly dealer). Keep up the good work! - A
Is the man cave big enough if you get one of these monsters on loan? 😉
I’m sure Triumph Central London would help although it’s a trek for you...
Great review Rob, Triumph should reward you. Best review of the rocket I've seen yet. Cheers.
Cheers Elie appreciate that
Judging by the review they already have rewarded him.
@@webdesign6776 Well deserved for a gentleman who has so much passion for the brand.
Man that looks like fun. Such a unique bike and although I would never buy one, one can appreciate the beautiful engineering.
Why wouldn't you buy one?
@@GreenmanWood cost.
@@GreenmanWood cost.
@@LadybugAdventures Sigh. Me too.
Loved my 2004 Bonnie T100.
Thank you for such a great review.
I have wanted one of these for so long.
Unfortunately does not appear to be available in Thailand.
Weird, considering it's made in Thailand.
This machine is a beauty, a moving work of art.
Good review.! From a technical standpoint the 2.5L triple is stellar. The finishing looks great too. But, for a touring bike there is some critical components missing. I would like to see more storage and wind protection before deeming this bike tour worthy.
I think my favorite little detail is the third exhaust outlet coming out of the left side.
yeah but I really did prefer the 2 very big TOR tubes on my 2012 model !!! czcams.com/video/HiPSq_VClbs/video.html
Dude, enjoyed your review style. Pls review the 2020 Ducati Diavel s. Maybe do a comparison with this Rocket 3 🙏🏽
Wow... that's one big bike 👍🏼
Demoed one thursday morning, bought it thursday afternoon, now its parked next to my zx14r hell yea!!
There’s something special to ride a heavy bike with a lot of torque!
Good review. Good job dude. Cheers!
Thanks OA!
I enjoyed your video. Well done.
Great first impression commentary Bob. More please. Pity you couldn't get it for a bit longer.
Thanks RH! They offered for me to take it out again so I’ll try to get back on it soon
Nice review 👍🏻
I have a 1998 HD Road Glide and a 2010 K1300GT, I don't need another bike but buy oh boy if I did I'd know EXACTLY what I'd be buying!!
Stunning machine
I definitely liked what i seen on leno's garage
Love to have one in my stable , looks like a mean muscle bike .my kind of ride .
Well done Triumph!!! I'm proud to be British again. This is certainly a leading industry example.
Made In Thailand.
Tested the R version a couple of weeks ago. I was pleasantly shocked how well-balanced and smooth it was to ride. It really is a MOTORcycle.......
PS: I'm 5'7 and had no footing problems
Ill keep my griso, thanks.
Did a testride this week, its worth the name Rocket mindblowing torque and acceleration,
You can't have ridden many fast bikes then. Acceleration is quick for a cruiser - good grunt but that's more to do with the very short intermediate gearing. A sportsbike or hiperbike would slaughter it in a straight line.
You are right the Left side of the motor looks just as good as the right.
I have that helmet, nexx, highly recommended..
Much better looking than the old one , great job Truimph its price is ok compaired to Hardley Movin Sons .
the sound of the engine/exhaust is great
Nah, exhaust is still too damn quiet.
It sounds like a kitty compared to Harley.
Big old bus, even has the Tfl badge styled petrol cap. Great commuter. Only the price of a few season tickets.
Haha that’s true
What a lovely monster 😍
Oh damn!! Gotta save up
Picked up my new Rocket GT last week and put 400 miles on it. The only fly in the ointment is that the list of devices that are compatible with the $900 bluetooth module is extremely limited. The only two Android phones are the S8 and S9, both of which have been discontinued by Samsung. My headset, the Sena SRL Neotec 11, is also not compatible. The dealer, Mosites in North Versailles, PA has refunded me both the price of the bluetooth component and the labor involved in installing it. Excellent Customer Service at Mosites. Triumph After Sales in Atlanta was very supportive and coordinated with the dealer. In addition, they are going to escalate the problem with Triumph UK. Be careful if you need the bluetooth! Otherwise, its the best bike that I have ever ridden!
Great review, thanks. Anything you didn't like? How was the screen at speed, buffet etc? Cheers.
This bike is really cool specifically the exhaust note is so cool it's like a supercar exhaust note....
Excellent review once again Bob! Thanks. Those rear foot pegs are ingenious! Why hasn't it been done already?
I believe MV Agusta have something similar on the dragster but not quite as neat. Triumph did a proper good job on those
@@motobob Perhaps a pillion review next if you can find anyone brave enough? 👍
@@TheGreatestBeyonder haha brave indeed!
It’s beautiful.
Beautiful bike no doubt.
Nice review, to me this bike is a master class of motorcycle manufacturing.
I bought a zh2 in sept and its now going in against this gt, i went into triumph a couple of wks ago and they had to drag me of it lol
this bike will just get better and better over the years maybe 1 day i'll own 1 :D
Saw the R live yesterday. Sat on it, dreamt about it and seriously thought about selling my 2008 Rocket Touring to deposit the GT. Still fighting with the thought of all that money, on a bike 🤪
The problem I have is that the GT is just isn't touring-ish enough. I don't want to give up my big windshield, lowers and big lockable panniers. Triumph should get on with making a real tourer around this engine. Make something that is as agile as the BMW tourers and still beats the Gold Wing at its own game, built around a huge engine with all the torque.
@@lorcro2000 Wait a while. The original Rocket came on the market relatively basic. Then the Touring came a few years later. This bike is long enough for everything you mention above. There will definately be aftermarket stuff flooding the market soon. The bike could wear a screen and still look cool. There are already 20 liter side bins for it, albeit made of pliable material and not rigid. My dealer has the TFC Rocket on show, number 380. Bought by a guy in Frankfurt. Wonderfully done and a real eye-catcher. They are offering finance on the bike for 3,5% for up to 96 months. Even without the interest, for the GT, it's still over 200 bucks per month. Not everyone who will bye this bike will like it. It's big and heavy, and if you're not experienced, fu*#ing scary. My Rocket Touring has over 380 kilos, wet weight. From 2008 and no safety systems like ABS etc. Will be test riding the GT when it comes to the dealer. We'll see 🤘Ride safe
I think its a beauty especially the chrome tanked model. I agree they r too quiet but it sounds alot like my 75 t160 trident. I know these are totally new bikes but they make them close in look to classic triumph but you dont have to worry about oil leaks and getting stranded
I talked to a representative from Triumph and they said that you can change the position of the foot pegs. So if you don't like that position, wehn you buy it you can ask them to change the pegs position which I find it cool
A very good review on a awesome looking bike
Yeh! the MCN review was poor!
Great knowledgable review mate , well in. Tell me, how do you perfectly sync up both cameras audio / footage to place in right spot on final video ?
Clap your hands at the beginning of recording and you can line up the audio tracks in your editing software before you start chopping it all up :)
