What a wonderful day for a boat ride…beautiful boat, smooth, glass-like water and cute Westies to enjoy the amazing views with! Your babies are living their best life! ❤
Hi. I've just purchased a Rascal about 2/3 built with plans. I looked for the DVD you mentioned bit I see the designer Ken Basset has retired and the plans and DVD are no.longer available. Would you be zble to create a copy of the DVD? I'm happy to compensate you for time and expense. Thanks, Dayle
How do you get parts for the motor? I had the family 67 Glastron with 1st generation Mercruiser inboard/outboard but had to give it up in 2009 because they stopped making seals for sterndrive in 1990.
There are a couple of vintage Mercury outboard forums (Johnsoldmercurysite_com; fiberglassics_com), a lot of the members have old parts or know where to get them. Not sure how to go about finding parts for an I/O though.
Sorry, I don't. Search on CZcams for the following: "Rascal boat Lil' Woody". That guy has a video slide show of his boat being built (same boat/design as mine). It's fantastic. By the way, the design is called Rascal and plans are available from Wooden Boat Magazine.
This was my first boat build. It was a challenge at times and took me almost 5 years, but it is a realistic boat to build. The designer, Ken Bassett, sells a DVD which provides good overall construction details, in my opinion a necessity, it was extremely helpful.
Thank you I'm just planning and standing before a choice of three options boats that I www.woodenboatstore.com/product/www.boatdesigns.com/12-Flying-Saucer-twin-cockpit-runabout/products/324www.classicwoodenboatplans.com/banshee-14-runabout/

My parents had a ‘71 Glastron w/ an inboard/outboard Volvo engine. Learned how to water ski behind it. Loved that boat…😔
