      Thanks! That lake is a jewel in the Northwest corner of Washington, about 600' deep and crystal clear; very isolated too.

    Did you do anything special to the internals of the engine? I have one of those I'm deciding what to do with.

      The engine was completely rebuilt by the person I bought it from. Crank, pistons, rods, bearings, seals, ignition, etc., everything was gone through and replaced if worn/bad. I believe he used at least a couple of donor engines to get some of the NLA parts. Contact Johnsoldmercurysite.com forum if you want advice, very helpful folks who are expert in these old Mercs, good luck!
