- In this episode of Hermitcraft, PearlescentMoon receives an offer from Tango to help build a room in his game, Decked Out!
Time to design a build for that, but also discover some pranks shortly after...
But that's not all... We play our first TCG tournament match! Will we win?

The Decked Out room will be changing next episode. I missed a key descriptive word in memory and people are pointing out it's too peaceful for that floor. I agree and don't like what I have made. I will fix it.
I personally think the peacefulness might be a good change of pace for players. But if you don't like what you've made then I'm excited to see how you'll change it!

With some old school pottage and a bit of alien hinting (a signature to your work)

honestly i like that it felt like a type of refuge area from all the "carnage" happening on that floor. i'd be curious to see if it's possible to make players enter the area with a false sense of security and then rain carnage on them when they enter the space. i'd say go all out on the illusion of safety!
I think it looks creepily in touch with the level... maybe you could just add some traps or jump scares to up the ante a bit? Maybe one of the levers or buttons could drop the player to their death, or something? The build itself is awesome!
I am starting to notice that Scar is deliberately overfilling the trash stations to challenge Pearl and annoy her, while Jevin is constantly throwing stuff Pearl wants to keep to challenge her morals and annoy her...
To be fair, Joe has also been dumping his trash in every dumpster he can find, including Scar's. He's committed to recycling! 😂

6:30 As a grandchild of a garbageman, I can tell you tbat he saved many a cool things from the dump. We even use a chair he found decades ago. So dont worry about keeping the debris, all garbage(recycling) collectors do it.

I can imagine it being used as either a safe spot for people to recover their breath, or a deathtrap disguised as a safe spot for people to recover their breath.
You had me on the first half, not gonna lie :D
It seems like the spot all the monsters and beasts in Decked Out to hang out and relax a little in between dungeon runs.
I just got an idea.
Imagine putting foods and drinks there and a sculk sensor that would detect exactly those actions and activate a trap.
Once you know about the trap, you can go there and take those to eat somewhere else, but the first time would take a lot of people by surprise.
Tango flying by going "PEARLLLL" was hilarious, I'm dying 🤣🤣🤣
I love how the canteen turned out. A lot of people think it should be darker but I really love how it fits into the overall narrative. I imagine it like it used to be a small safe-zone in the dungeon and the Ravagers broke through. It was set up so people could go loot treasure from the ship or stop to rest on the way to the deeper depths.
Tango is going to have a hay-day with secrets in this area. I love it.
I think you should reduce the amount of light in there by a little bit to match the surroundings a bit better, but it looks amazing.
I personally think that it’s good that there is more light, as it gives the room a feeling of false safety and entices the player to go in and potentially get surrounded by ravagers

I wouldnt worry too much about that. Tango can easily adjust the lighting if he needs to.
If you redesign the base of the Mario plant to be more of a regular alien plant and not the pipe, you could make the path run through/under the plant and still keep the main Gem plant while incorporating it into your base :)

If you temporarily leave the sandstone pillar in the Decked Out room you're working on, put a torch on the side facing the door, and a sign labeling it a "Skumpus". Tango should get a kick out of it

tbf Tango did say that he wanted something to make the room noticeable, and if it's a dead end maybe a reason to go there... I think Pearl delivered on both accounts xD
I think your Decked Out room looks really cool. I love that you tied it to Bdubs build. Seems like the hideout the pirates would have went to.

I love the idea that the player is running, terrified, through dark caves filled with monsters and traps only to see a literal light at the end of the tunnel. A haven! A remnant of peoples past? Who cares perhaps they can hide away and catch their breath. But no, it isn't safe. Nothing here is safe, they must move on. Perhaps as the people who built it were forced to do when the ravagers first came

The DO room gives me some "pirates council" vibes. Bit like in pirates of the Caribbean
I noticed the parkour section looked a little messy because of the ravager proofing but you can actually put glass panes on the top instead like tango did in other areas and take out the extra walls
Yes! You get to keep 1 ancient debris. It's like finding a dollar coin in the wash. Now, if it was more than 5, the finder is responsible for at least saying something
the center path in your tunnel seems like the perfect place for an etho super-speed path
The room you made in decked out looks absolutely gorgeous.
Also I don't think you're gonna have an issue moving the piranha plant a few inches (especially when you’ve moved entire structures before).
I mean, it _could_ rotate 90° too, just for old times' sake, right? ;)

The decked out room is stunning! I especially like the way the sea lanterns are lighting up that one bit with water. It looks mesmerising

I've been waiting for another Hermitcraft video from you Pearl to say that the 1.20 sniffer plants (Pitcher plant and Torch flower) would look great in your beautiful Sci-Fi mystical mega base!
@Luis Suazo I was mainly talking about when 1.20 release and updated on the Hermitcraft server the sniffer plants are added in and would be perfect for her base!
I love pearls free block charity and joe hills so nice and on brand mass donating. Scar should be reminded of your trade shop he definitely needs blocks 😂
I like what you did for Tango so much and I think it can fit the theme. You might be able to add the creep factor to it with some "raw meat", severed heads, mold (mossy cobble) a hanging villager, armor stand trickery...
My favourite part of this episode was Pearl walking through decked out for inspiration commenting on tango’s incredible job, I just can’t wait for the full release
Like any housewarming plant you receive, you can always replant it into another garden :) (of course probably would like to keep the Mario Bros pipe). Nice work on the decked out room! I wasn't expecting it to be so big!
the more i watch hermitcraft videos, the more i realize what herculean work you're all doing, all the time. it's crazy.
Between the fun voices, the silly antics, the great pranks, and wonderful builds - I can't think of a better way to unwind after a long day of work than to watch these videos. Always a treat!
I hope some skeletons can sit behind that bar/kitchen as extra peril.

Room looks good, but feels too bright for rest of deck out though, least what seen on video. But amazing build, maybe make it more abandon like the restaurant in the Goodies, some cobwebs, torn up floor, maybe redstone trap fall pot XD

omg, it'd be so cool if tango's crafting system involved specifically the brewing stand you set up at the back ot the canteen, or maybe cooking something on the fireplace, hope he implements some cool mecanics to your amazing adition to decked out ñ.ñ
Sadly I think that the glowberries and berry bushes will have to go 😅can't have a non regulated food source in the dungeon as far as I know...

The build looks great, but I do think it’s a bit too green and comfortable for the atmosphere of Decked Out. An eating area in the depths of the Caves of Carnage is odd to say the least…
I agree, the build on its own is good, but too friendly. Someone else said it could be a pirate meeting place, and I think that if some of the light and tones were adjusted and the wood looked old and dilapidated that could work. The one thing for sure that stands out is the bar; who would make drinks in the middle of the dungeon? Please take these comments kindly, we still like the build itself.

I actually really like the timelapse sections. I always wish that hermits would slow them down and make them longer while also narrating why they are choosing specific block types and describing sections as they are building them.
Very nice addition to Decked Out. It will become for sure a landmark people will use as reference point in the dungeon.

LOVE the decked out room!
The best part imo is how bright it is! The rest of the dungeon is so dimly lit that when you turn the corner and practically get blinded, it's gonna be memorable. Also, the light peeks over the jump wall, so when they first enter the caves from the left, they're gonna notice it and think "oh, that place must be important!"
The fireplace might not be ravager proof, but tango'll be able to fix that.
Elo Pearl, with the recent acquisition of an ancient debris block via charitable means, I'd say Diamonds and Ancient debris would be known as "Infrastructural Needs" because after all if the cleaning lady were to perhaps have an incident she'd likely need some sort of insurance to make sure she can stay in a non-profit type business profile. And thus we see, the _true_ reason Piranha Plant was added to Smash Bros. Most people don't realize, but the main reason was because of how iconic it is, and Pearl just showed a great example of it in this episode. She didn't remember its name but she definitely recognized it as the plant from Mario despite not seeming to know much about the Mario franchise directly.

A few episodes ago, you said that you wanted to add ambient sounds to your base... I think that your variations of "boop" sounds with some echo would fit in the theme.
Bdubs made Captain Hook's ship and Pearl made the Lost Boys' hideout.
mud blocks may be a good transition between dirt and deepslate/tuff/stone and may look great in a cave setting.
dang... now I have to go back and watch ALL of Tango's videos from this season... I haven't seen what he's been up to this season and that is looking absolutely BONKERS!
I really liked the way you summarised the tcg game.
BAD BUILDING?!?! Pearl your building style this season is an utter work of art. You are sticking blocks together that normally wouldn’t work together and making a whole beautiful lush landscape with them. I applaud and appreciate watching you build in this style.
the Decked Out room gives me that vibe of the theives guild hideout in Skyrim. How you come across the "tavern" in the sewers. just a little more brighter than in Skyrim XD
After seeing the decked out caves, it might be really cool to have some caves in the alien biome. Perhaps with big crystals or maybe an alien version of a lush cave? Great episode, the forrest area looks awesome!

I'm glad you want to keep the Mario plant (I can't remember their name, either). It looks so good! And would be a nice little Easter Egg in your base if it's nestled amongst the rest of your alien landscape.

I'm a tiny bit worried about how the ravagers are going to handle those berry bushes you put in given that Minecraft mobs have the self preservation instincts of a drunk, sleep deprived adrenalin junkie. If they can take any damage at all, they _will_ off themselves.

You could always put the ancient debris in the take-a-block-leave-a-block area and then just trade a stack of dirt for it

Decked Out section looks amazing! Just want to point out the lava drop at 14:29. Players won't be able to get out of that hole on the left side because the two-tall andesite wall is blocking them of, even if they had jump boost 2.
I am not normally one for nationalism, but Pearl rummaging through the recycling for stuff with trade-in value may be the most Australian thing that's ever happened on Hermitcraft and I bloody love it

that decked out room looks amazing! you've done such a good job at merging all of the other elements in level 2 and also making it different, it really adds to the caves i think :D and i love those trees as well, the colours remind me of dusk they're super pretty!
I know there’s probably a list of a million thing to do, but I think it would be really fun for you to prank Cub. I think you have the same brand of prankage - goofy and lighthearted - and he’s someone you haven’t had much on camera interaction. A fun target for a prank “war.” Anyways, great video as always!
If you took the pot away you could make your base the home planet where it came from. That would solve your path problem as well.

I really liked what you did, different rooms needed to happen. Parkour seemed perfect, except not sure if ravagers can go thru that. You’re quite fantastic at building
There’s a significant absence of pirate banners everywhere pirates are supposed to be suggested. The boat looks like a generic boat. The cantina looks like a generic cantina. They are beautiful, but not very pirate-y. Wither Skelly sculls make scull and crossbones banner patterns. Tango and Impulse have a wither skelly farm. Ask for a scull to put the “icing on the cake”. And I agree it’s too bright….eldritch blue light would work better for Caves of Carnage, since everyone is dead, or soon will be😉.
The ship that Bdubs built has tons of details inside as well.
Sort of a smugglers den speak easy. Maybe a stairway up would sell that, blocked or otherwise.
The Praha plant was cool it bit interesting if you maid a tunnel through it to continue the path and add another role to it.
The bar should be staffed by the Knights of Nee. And the Black Knight needs to be a patron.

Maybe remove the pot and extend the vine-like stem down and split to create an arch over the path of roots and such. Could alter the head too slightly to make it fit in more, but this way you won't have to shift it!
