Pearl and Joel's styles of content are so different, but they work so well together? This was a fun interaction, so I'm glad they got online at the same time to do it.

They should allow to place the chorus fruit flower on any soil but it doesn't grow unless it's on endstone. So you can make weird alien trees with chorus flower hanging out in the leaves.

That’s so smart, maybe they could make a dead variant, like if you place coral without water.
You should never worry about "weird" block combinations. Of all people, you know how to make things work. There is no real comfort zone when it comes to colors with Pearl, which makes everything you build so nicely varied!
The new planters look lovely - lets you really appreciate the top texture of the flower, which you don't get to see a lot.
That was a serious missed opportunity to send jole on a date with iskal. Iskal would have been so happy.

How am I 21 years old and just realizing that all multiples of 9 add up to 9? Joel saying that has had me staring at the wall for like two whole minutes. 😂
It's related to the "devil's fingers" trick. Hold up both hands. To calculate 9xN, put down your Nth finger, then count the number of fingers on the left side of that finger-that's your 10s place-and the right side of that finger-that's your 1s place. So, for example, 9x4 = III,I IIIII = 36

That's how I would always do my 9s times tables in school and nobody understood for some reason
It's how it was taught to me. Take the number, subtract 1 and that's the 10s digit, and then subtract that from 9 for the ones digit
I learned the times tables for nine with my fingers as a trick (as long as it went up to 10), but I did also learn the adding to nine for the numbers
I used a song to memorize it
Congrats to Pearl, Tango and Etho on the success of the mail system and getting everyone connected. Such a great idea and now I can't imagine Hermitcraft without it.

I love the way you’re walking us through the building process this time!! It’s really sad that a lot of the details of the process tend to get lost in quick timelapses (although I completely understand!! Narrating while building creatively must be HARD) so I appreciate this so so much, it makes me connect to your builds even more

It might just be me, but the clorus flowers in the pots make it look like some kind of alien purple pool of liquid (which would actually be great for my own world so thanks!). Also the roof looks Amazing! Totally inspired by this vid :D
I get most of my building inspiration from Pearl and Bdubs. Their building styles are just so unique. I love the way Pearl uses colors in a way I wouldn't normally think of and I love how Bdubs paints with blocks. He uses blocks in ways you wouldn't think about using them.
the alien liquid pools also goes with Ren's base/terrain so well
The new Chorus planters are so much better, subtle from afar but still effective, and even better up close! Having no strings is a great bonus too
id love to get more 40 odd minute length videos, they're so chilled
imo its a happy medium. not too long that you don't want to watch immediately. But not too short that it feels like it cut off suddenly

Your base is just a masterclass on how to build realistically textured and weathered structures in MC, you should see Rendog and Xisuma jumping all over your base looking at all the details you have added, they couldn't believe the level of thoughtfulness put into every single individual block.

Ancient debris actually doesn't generate more in the soul sand valley. It's not dependent on biome at all.
If anything it's less likely to generate in a soul sand valley.
When ancient debris generates it can only replace netherrack, basalt, and blackstone. So the soul sand and soul soil actually block ancient debris generation.
The chunk border method has apparently been debunked as well. 😭 That was my go-to strat!
I love the freedom free cam gives, especially when showing details we would not normally see as viewer's ❤
That Netherite contest got very tense at the end. I think, I was scared of seeing a date with Iskall.😅

Pearl proving her master builder skills this season. Her build is like a transition between gradients using different block combinations, its looking fantastic. Can’t wait to see what else is in store for us. Chorus planter boxes look much more natural now to. Don’t forget the bendy trees in think thats also a great idea
i gotta say either pearl or false are one of the more underrated hermits just recently subscribed and both should have way more subs

For bright colour palettes, I recommend having a look at the street of houses that Iskall and Stress have built together for the murder mystery - there are lots of ideas there. I'm not certain, the having a look at the terracotta/granite/netherrack building for the purpur farm might be a good idea
Joel and Pearl were a duo I didn't know I wanted so much. I think they're the only hermits who match each others sass. Add Cleo and it would just be hazardous.

Pearl! On that super smelter all you need is a single level, slap it on the face of the furnace and give it a flick... blam locked hopper below and you can grab that exp... much easier than breaking and replacing a hopper that could accidentally mess things up.

Honestly when you utilize ANY block palate you can make it work. You made the orange of the building look so good with all your detailing of the roof and the rest of the building!
I honestly thought you were going to lose when you said you were just going to use a pickax when you went mining with Joel, but you proved me VERY wrong. Your interacts with Joel were also so funny! I hope you two get to interact more throughout the season :)

Your builds always blow me away! I haven't checked in in a bit and i just Love the shapes you use, especially the rounder ones like the glass wall and roof, and your use of color is So wonderful, it's all amazing. Also watching the competition was so much fun, i too find the mining method really satisfying and i loved hearing yours and joel's trash talk/banter it was very funny. Lovely episode!
Cubfan did a lot of testing of the different Netherite mining methods in Season 7 (when he made an entire hall with walls of it, as well as the Cinnebun shop for them), and surprisingly enough his testing was consistent with your results, simply mining in a straight line of netherrack was the most efficient method, slightly ahead of beds. He made a video dedicated to finding this out if you want to leanr more!
