I wish they told you if the power supply comes with cables to power SATA hard drives as I have two 4TB hard drives of games. I hate to spend thousands of dollars and cant even hook up a hard drive without buying a new power supply or trying to figure out how to get extra cables from the Power supply maker. Also knowing how many extra M.2 slots are available would be nice. To spend thousands and only get 1TB or 2TB M.2 SSD is a crime. I had trouble with my external USB drive making my windows have to reinstall USB driver so I dont use it anymore.

I would also like to say that if you go full budget on the prebuilt systems with an RTX 3060. If the 3060 is the single fan (Pheonix), make sure you have excellent airflow in your case or you will see high temps over 85c. If you can ensure you get a dual fan or a larger case allowing for good airflow you should be good to go. I made that mistake and after getting a new case, my temps dropped almost 20c at full use.

4 days of research, 17 videos on CPU vs Gpu and combinations. i cant even begin to tell you how much the first 10 minutes of this video were the most informative, straight forward comparisons i ever found as to what are comparable units for builds, what to avoid and what is best. and pairing that up with pre builts that have proper groupings finally told me what i needed to know over all and thanks to you i have a solid idea of what i want and how much ill need to spend.
ive been trying to find a build that fits my needs, but all i could find is videos about builds based on price points and budgets. how do i know how much i need to budget if i dont know what i need?? lol. this video told me what the teirs are for components, relevant builds, and based on the price points, told me roughly where i would need to budget to get something ill be happy with. all i knew was i wanted something 70 to 80% the power of a current top builds that can handle 1440p, VR and multi tasking with some upgradability if i should want to
i know some people want a gaming pc now and have 1000.00 and need to know what the best build is for that price, but my philosophy is find what will do what you need and make you happy, and if it is more than your budget, either find ways to cut the price down, or wait a little longer and put more money in the budget. if the PC right for me turns out to be 2000.00 then i should save up for that instead of just getting something i can afford right this second.
im shooting for 1440p gaming with provisions for VR gaming, CAD design and 3d modeling, streaming and light video editing. preferably something i wont need to upgrade for 7 to 10 years so im not ending up with lots of computer towers all over lol.
i feel im roughtly in the ballpark of an i7 with a 4070ti thats 16gb and now that i know that, i can figure out the ram i need, the type of cooling and case size ill need as well as which board yada yada. once the cpu and gpu fell into place i could figure out what else i need and have a rough idea of cost, or at least i can make a shopping list to get an idea of cost to save up for which was ultimately my goal

If you want to recycle a 5 1/4 inch Blu-Ray CD player and/or add a nice-sized digital LED system monitor to the front of your case, I recommend getting a case with 2 or 3 5 1/4 inch drive bays. Got into pc gaming in September, I don't regret it, but the market was still messed up. You showed a pc with my exact parts in this video and mine cost $450 more at the time of purchase. Biggest thing I've realized with pc gaming is there's always something new on the market. Had I known the 4070 ti Super was just around the corner, I would've most likely waited. We'll see if the 4070 ti can hold up to the newer titles.

Jason, i know i have been coming back and forth and been bothering you with my unability to pick but- I have a question for motherboard's power phase, is it important for a 7500F? (MSI B650M-A WiFi for (8+2+1) 190$ vs AsRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi for (6+2+1, no nvme heatsink but supports gen 5 ssds)160$, and what do you think about ATX 3.0 psus? should i pau about 10$ - 15$ more for a PCIE 5 support? (Fractal Ion Gold 80+ 750W for 90$ vs MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 for 101$) both of them is listed on A tiers but the MSI being on the speculative position, and i do plan on getting the 7800 XT, Thanks!

Getting a PCIE 5.0 PSU isn't that important since you're not getting a Nvidia 4000 GPU. The new PSUs come with the 12VHPWR Connector to match that of the 4000 Series GPU but since you're getting an AMD GPU it doesn't matter.

Jason, what are your thoughts on 7800xt vs 6800xt GPU, I been building my first PC and only thing left is GPU, but I struggle to pick against these two since some say 6800xt is better , some say 7800xt is better and gonna age better...
My composition in case you need it: My PC is for coding and programing(Machine Learning and Deep Learning) + also to be good for gaming (not priority), also I am not person who plays newest FPS games (maybe sometimes) mostly strategy games like Total War.
    This is my build:
Case: NZXT H6 FLOW (up to 365 mm (14.37) inches in length for GPU) so it should be fine with 68 and 78 hopefully.
PSU: SEASONIC Focus GX 750W ATX 3.0, 80+Gold (ATX3-FOCUS-GX-750) Gen5, apart from dragon model 7800xt which said recommended 800W all others should be fine.. (p.s. its I think at least B rated on your list :D)
CPU: Ryzen 7 7700 with Wraith Prism cooler included (Since its not overclocked version do you think included cooler is enough?)
RAM: G.Skill Flare 2x16GB DDR5 6000 CL 36 (maybe not the best choice but what to do)
    Motherboard: TUF GAMING B650 +Wifi
Storage: Samsung Pro 1 tb SSD
THANKS for reading and really looking forward to your reply and advice as in all your videos

My first ever prebuilt pc is my current pc, it's a Cyberpower and I got it around 3-4 years ago. I love it dearly, but it was on the lower end, so, I'm looking for an upgrade as I get more into streaming and wanting to play some higher-end games. I will always prefer prebuilt, because I am horrified of accidentally breaking something expensive if I build my own... 😅 I'm glad there's some Cyberpowers on this list, because I believe they're pretty trustworthy.

Lots of choices for sure! I'd say if you have any desire to build thats the best price to performance option (and can be a lot of fun). If not, there are some great prebuilt deals out there right now, and the advantage SI PCs have over consoles is you can upgrade them in the future. But then it comes down to preferred gaming style.

@@MxgicPlays I genuinely don't know because I've never purchased from any of them ... my guess is Jason hasn't either, which is not a good thing when recommending these systems. The companies I've purchased from that I can highly recommend are Maingear and Falcon Northwest, but you pay more for their quality.

Looking at a prebuilt Pc with a RTX 4070 ti super and a R7 5700X. It has a RAM speee of 2400 MHz. Im new and this would be my first Gaming PC, can I easily upgrade RAM speed or is 2400 enough? The PC would roughly cost 1.400€ should I buy or not? Any advice?

    • @kelley09162
      @kelley09162 Před 2 měsíci

That RAM speed isn't good. You want 3200 or 3600.
You should be able to easily upgrade the RAM.
      I'm surprised there's a 5700X and 4070 Ti Pre-Built for that price.

      Well that's a 4K PC. It's overkill for 1440p. You shouldn't be paying that much for a 1440p.

Best Buy has an iBuyPower with a 7900X and 7900XTX for 2300 which is still overkill for 1440p but isn't as bad.

It may sound like a dumb question but I need some help. I currently have a pc that my friend built a long time ago and sold to me for cheap. It works well but I need to upgrade as its pretty outdated and struggles when running some games, video editing, or streaming so I'm going to build my first PC. I have gotten my new build I want to do approved by a few of my friends (and their parents) who are huge tech guys and have all built computers in the past so I think I'm all set for building it. Which leads me to my question, how should I position my fans. I know he said 2-3 intake and 1 exhaust but I'm going to use the Deepcool LS520 and the H9 flow case. Does anyone know how many I should place as intake/output? It'd be a huge help.

    • @kelley09162
      @kelley09162 Před 3 měsíci

So I believe that would mean 3 in the front and 1 in the rear.
Also I think that's how the fans come in the Case when you get it.

Just note if you haven't seen it yet Best Buy has a Pre-Built from iBuyPower with a 7900X and 7900XTX for $2300. That would be another good 4K option.

Crap I just got that sky tech one for $850.. So I should return it for the $999 with the 3060 12gb? Is the difference that much?
Or do I keep my current one, sell the 4060 for $300 and grab
cheap 3070 8gb for $250 in my area.. Which would you recommend doing?

Just curious as I do not know much about pc gaming just now looking at getting into , so my question...most of these brands do not seem like top brand names is there a reason for this and what is the quality and longevity of these pc's I am not trying to be that guy...its just that its pretty expensive either way so having no familiarity with a lot of these brands makes me cautious.

These are definitely top trusted brands in the prebuilt market. It boils down to what model and features you are looking for.
