The Dishonest Woke Take On Ugly Female Characters Reaches A New Level

  • If you draw a person and nobody can tell if it's a man or a woman then that is a bad drawing. Things that need to be said in 2024 edition! As we all know by now that female characters in entertainment, be it animated or live action, or quite clearly made to be ugly. In appearance AND soul if Harley Quinn is any indication... But this must be the dumbest woke argument yet and if this is a genuinely widespread belief in comics, gaming and shows then that would explain a lot!

    Actions make a character look heroic. A strong jawline makes men look handsome. Heroic and handsome are not the same thing.
    A hero is a hero because of their actions in the story. A handsome actor is chosen because they are more attractive to the audience.
    So, the question is not, "What makes a woman look heroic." We already know the answer to that. It's when she pilots the mecha, to fight the alien queen, to save the little girl. That's what makes a woman look heroic.

      Every since the 3rd wave feminists (Neo-Marxist Post-Modernist) began to justify (or deny) the atrocities approved or outright perpetrated by 2nd wave feminists (Marxist) they've been doing that.
      It's really simple to grasp, honestly:
      Men = Opressor
      Women = Opressed
      How Men opress virtuous and infallible Women? Because "Toxic Masculinity".
      What is Toxic Masculinity? A Feminist definition of Masculinity (basically a sexist stereotype of a macho chauvinist abuser pig they believe all men are) IF a man has it.
      And because of a vast conspiracty known as "The Patriarchy" only those with Masculinity attain Power.
      So Masculinity = Power.
      Therefore Femininity = Weakness, hence why Women are "Opressed" and why men pointing out bad female behavior is "punching down".
      Why is Femininity = Weakness? Because the Feminist definition of Femininity consists of a sexist stereotype of a subservient submissive slave women who is only good for poping kids.
      So, whats' the goal? To "Empower" women by making them Masculine and to "Deconstruct" (read: strip of all power) men by making them Feminine, according to the Masculine&Feminine definitions the Feminists have in their heads.
      That way, they would be able to "flip" the dialectic of power to their favor.

    I love how asinine that comic strip is at the beginning, it pretends that men and women do not have genetic characteristics. Like the chance of a woman having a male jawline is pretty small. Some women do sure, but then what is it that the woman is doing that is heroic? Is she doing everything a man does? even combat? Its funny how, the women in games or whatever else who always have a "Strong" male jawline, always happen to be the ones trying to act exactly like men instead of doing their own thing.
    Heroism for women just doesn't work in the same way for men, simply because our temperament and nature are different, as well as the fact that we ultimately are physically built different too. Expecting the exact same heroism from men or women in comparison to each other is just silly. Some do overlap, but some do not and the most entertaining forms of heroism will always be physical.

When asked what he is doing he just says something coy. Then the sherriff goes to arrest someone and put them in the cell, the man is sitting on his bunk and says “well why can’t I just leave”. There was a huge change that happened in 2016-2017-2018 in Hollywood that made it creativly bankrupt. Season 6 of Game of thrones was peak entertainment, everyone loved it, when it had some of the best TV to ever be written, CZcams careers were created by theory crafting and lore channels, then the writting fell off a cliff. Avengers Infinity War was the last good Marvel movie, i know most enjoy endgame, but it felt...hollow.
    In the last battle in Infinity War you could feel the Avengers struggling to keep Thanos's forces at bay to protect Vison, yet after some time travel adventures that wouldnt have been out of place in a 90's cartoon, the Avengers steam roll Thanos and his army without anyone being in any danger. We get hero poses, girl boss moments, and at no point did it feel like anything apart from the good guys winning was going to be the final outcome, while in infinity war, the avengers lost and we as the audience, felt that loss.

    It's almost as if what makes a man beautiful and a woman beautiful are different.
    Also, heroism isn't appearance, nor is it emotion. It is action. If anyone wants to get into a discussion about things like shape language and color theory in character design, realize that a character's appearance informs a part of their character rather than their actions. A large man with squared shoulders and a sharp jawline typically just means "tough", "strong", and even "reliable", but villains can have the same traits in even the reverse role.

It was a great way to show that anybody in the moment can be a hero or a villain in the moment no matter what their lives were up to that point.

    Shape language 101. Rectangular, rounded and triangular shapes have their own meanings. Rectangular works well for men because it correlates with physical strength, for women it's triangular for speed and a hint of danger, or rounded for safety and softness. Obviously you _can_ use rectangular for women too, but it's best left for characters whose physical strength you want to emphasize at the cost of attractiveness, such as Brienne of Tarth.

And now that things have crashed from MCU to comics to Doctor Who (cares).....all they can do is scream that the fanboys should be more supportive....because Modern Audience are not flocking to the theaters or local comic book shops, not buying the DEI SBI games, not spending their money on these IPs...
