- Games Workshop had to lie, even if they knew it was wrong and even of they knew it was a lie because that is what their ideology demanded from them. Like a cornered rat after finding no way out, GW lying about female custodes was the only way to remain woke and to change history!

That's what ticks me off by them claiming we should "grow up" and accept this, because they do the opposite. They want those unique factors and the resulting effects on the setting's stance on what is the "right" or "best" thing to do rendered inconsequential so it can reflect themselves and their obsessions, then guilt tripping anyone who wants to do the actually adult thing and respect the setting the same way we respect living in a real world of actions and consequences that drives real world morality. They are insisting we respect their endless childishness in the name of "growing up."

A piece of the past, an artwork, standing there to remind us of who our forfathers were and to teach us about it, either to stay true or avoid it. In both case, they have important value. Its part of normal nomenclature to refer to groups by either the masculine ("hey guys") or the majority gender (brotherhood of silence in Spain has female members).
Without the astartes lore having a biological impediment preventing females, you wouldn't look at the custodes lore and assume females were an impossibility.

Men can be also used to refer to human beings.
It's entirely allowabe within the existing lore to have rare female exceptions as custodes.

I've blocked a lot of content creators I didn't think were going to hit the deck and lick boots. Disappointed at some of them championing this.
It's only a matter of time for them to give the AOS treatment, and 40k is looking more and more with Magic the Gathering. Older books are there for the ones who want to enjoy them yet, with a little bit of organization , you may have newer stuff into older editions(2nd edition community does that a lot).That's all I gotta say.

Some moron up top made the decision to create female Custodes because they forgot that the Sisters Of Battle and the Sisters of Silence exist. But the idea of the Imperium Of Man being infiltrated by Chaos Demons as female Custodes now that the Emperor Of Mankind is nearly dead is my new head canon. Couldn't be my Ork brethren or the surviving Eldar.

I've also heard rumors that Amazon INSISTED on having someone that is female (and presumably black/"ethinc") in powered armor and they would only accept a Space Marine or a Custodies.

Not even a Rogue Trader (which is as well).

One of the funniest/most infuriating parts of this for me is that I've seen people who shrug their shoulders at this change say that female Space Marines would be the uncrossable line for them.
Make no mistake, whether they were present in Rogue Trader or not, female Space Marines are coming, they'll probably add in even another couple primarchs.
Its kinda sad. I remember when these things like tabletop and video games were niche hobbies and you would wish they were more widely known about... Greed and the dominant ideology will always ruin everything.

If Clans is as successful as it might end up being, I expect a resurgence the likes of which has never been seen in the space before. Mechwarrior 5 was largely held back in terms of it's popularity by it's botched release, combined with it's lazy use of assets/programming, and the voice actors doing mail-in performances on release. A lot of those issues were fixed in the DLC, and the current game is actually pretty damn good. If they keep those issues that they fixed with the DLCs in 5 fixed with Clans, and fix the remaining problems they haven't touched, it could end up as a *massive* injection of capital into the franchise.
A lot of younger fans don't realize just *how* big Battletech was in the 90s, and the *absurd* amount of source material that exists in the setting that has yet to be tapped into in terms of adaptations.
The reason this is important, is because ultimately, modern Battletech is owned by Microsoft for all intents and purposes. IIRC, the guy who owns Topps (the ACTUAL owners of the IP and not just the video game rights) is also a pretty big player at Microsoft, which means it's more or less just different heads of the same snake.
If that monster even sniffs at Battletech rising in popularity again, they'll crack down harder than GW has ever hoped to crack down on the Warhammer fandom. Unlike Warhammer, Battletech has *much* more potential for mainstream appeal - the wider lore is basically Game of Thrones in space with giant robots.
No, the main thing keeping the Battletech fandom even somewhat intact is just the fact that it flies under almost everybodies radar, so the worst we have to deal with are meatballs with pink hair trying to enforce their delusions on us. That'll end hard when and if PGI strikes gold in the video games side of things.

I can imagine three reasonable scenarios were there would be female space marines
1.) One The Thousand sons turn into a female, because they messed with the warp.
2.) Slaanesh turns one of the Emperor's Childeren into a female
3.) GW says "Our marketing department has concluded our base really likes Dommy Mommies , but think the Sisters of Battle and the Sisters of Silence should not be lewded"
You could also have a female demon in a Male Space Marine body. Not a female Space Marine by most people's logic, but we could tell the progressive's if they say there are no female space marines "Are you saying this isn't a woman?"

In the Expanse there's a female marine in power armour, Bobby Draper. She's the girlboss muscle mommy who kicks everyone's ass and also has no personality. She doesn't conflict with the lore, in fact she's essential for it. But by god she's bland, the actress is playing her perfectly because she's the generate corporate slop incarnate. That's what Amazon wants for 40k.

Bobby draper is far from bland in the books and as far as I’ve heard the adaptation is pretty faithful, so I’d guess if there’s an issue it’s probably moreso with the actress than anything else actually.

I think that’s when she is lamest, and most unconvincing (as an actor). But I am more convinced by her as her character later in the series, and personally think she would have been better acting a pilot. That scene with her and Aversarada (sp?) when she has to take them off that ship where they left the spy is really powerful stuff from them both. That she came into her own later, as someone with half a brain and good dimension either means she should never have been able to make it (inworld) as the perfect marine, or that kind of character depth wasn’t considered in the making (not a criticism, there are so many options/decisions that could be made). Decent show, I’ve been enjoying it for the most part.

In Russia we have a series of books about the girl commissar Atiya Kholmg. It's not canon, but hey, the language barrier and local laws don't seem to make it possible to get to the author. According to the plot of the book, civilians besieged in the city by orcs began to bow to chaos, and a regiment of guards was sent to the planet, which was still underformed (they expected that there would be a small uprising of workers). After the orcs and the demonic invasion, few people survived. And unlike the books about Cain, survival caused a lot of suspicion, torture, interrogation and sending Atiya to a penal battalion (just in case she was possessed and didn’t know it).
