I appreciate you acknowledging the controversy surrounding Headland's previous working relationships and then swiftly moving on. I don't believe any creator can be held up as "sacred", I am in the camp that Lucas made more than a few mistakes with the prequels. That said, however, what is canon is canon, and ripping apart the works your series is supposedly built on is disrespectful at best, and only proves their incompetence.
Episode 1 is largely based on a fanfic written by Thomas Knoll (founder of Adobe) and presented to Lucas in the mid 90s when Adobe was contracted to add new digital effects to the 20th Anniversary Editions of the OT (I went to elementary school with the Knoll kids in the 90s and they wouldn't shut up about it). George Lucas deserves all the credit because he made 6 six Star Wars movies, the first trilogy & the prequel trilogy. I don't believe any creator can be held up as "sacred", I am in the camp that Lucas made more than a few mistakes with the prequels. That said, however, what is canon is canon, and ripping apart the works your series is supposedly built on is disrespectful at best, and only proves their incompetence.
Episode 1 is largely based on a fanfic written by Thomas Knoll (founder of Adobe) and presented to Lucas in the mid 90s when Adobe was contracted to add new digital effects to the 20th Anniversary Editions of the OT (I went to elementary school with the Knoll kids in the 90s and they wouldn't shut up about it).
That was a mistake, the IT guys are IT guys for a reason.

George Lucas deserves all the credit because he made 6 six Star Wars movies, the first trilogy & the prequel trilogy.
George Lucas may have been inspired by other Sci-fi Works such as Princess of Mars (aka John Carter back in early 1900), Dune, and much more stuff like the Vietnam War & WW2, but he’s the one who built the foundation of Star Wars
I think the Book of Boba Fett is much better compared to the Acolyte.
They need to stop making Star Wars & give it back to George Lucas so he can either let it rest forever, or fixing the legacy of Star Wars ruined by Episode 7,8, & 9, and a couple of these new shows such as the Acolyte.
They also need to stop putting these random filmmakers, actors, & actresses and actually put people who know Star Wars and who can do Star Wars.
I think in my opinion we need new Sci-fi, Action, Adventure franchises, there’s Dune but that’s more of adaptations, I mean a new sci-fi universe to explore and build and to have fun.

Like Lesley Headland, the PERSONAL ASSISTANT OF ONE HARVEY WINESTINE OF FOUR YEARS, saying "George Lucas is overrated" is like saying "One JK Rowling is overrated because she ONLY created everything about Harry Potter" or saying "George R R Martin is overrated because he ONLY created A Song of Ice and Fire, which was what was adapted into GOT and when the people working on the show ran out of source material, the show cratered". Dumb.

Her & everyone else who worked on this show have proven they Lack even the most basic understanding of the source material. This is who is getting hired for these jobs? It feels as if they give zero F*cks about respecting this widely beloved story that they have been given the opportunity to be in charge of? They don't comprehend how much they don't understand Star Wars. So much so that IT HURTS! (They also don't understand anything about quality storytelling/ character building & world building as a whole) Yet these people act like They deserve these positions? Out of all people, HOW are these who they want to be creating Star Wars content..? It's ridiculous.. I don't understand how things have gotten this bad that NO ONE can step in and Fire all of these inadequate people..? The world needs people to put their ego's aside and just bring in truly passionate and gifted individuals artist's, actors, writers, set designers, sound design, you name it, we need a shift that shows improvement.. Things have been bleak for far too long. If they could bring in selfless, talented and passionate people it could really help get ourselves out of this depressed hole that we've been stuck in. Random Honest question: When it comes to the Acolyte, What is so SPECIAL about Osha and Mea for them to be the Main focus, the Main characters, etc. She has ZERO personality, 0 depth, 0 intricate aspects to her character.. Yet we are supposed to believe All off this is occurring around the twins as the main focus...? She has the personality of a cardboard box. There's so many things that are very wrong with this sad attempt at telling a star wars story.. There's so many issues with this story tho.. None of what they have made actually portraits accurate star wars, accurate jedi, etc. etc. How did this cost $180 million..? It seriously does not make any sense
This show comes off so cheap & tacky.. It's not just the terrible writing & terrible acting. It's horrible set design, horrible world building, horrible camera work. It all makes this show feel so small. Like it's filmed in a single green screen room.. Grasping at awful CGI techniques to try and force any bit of a false reality into this mess of a show.
It's so far from Legitimate Star wars movies that it feels as if this whole thing is a big parody.. A very expensive parody..
Its entirely possible the reason she has access to all this capital to play movie maker with her friends is she knows some things.
She doesn't care if all if this is successful, or makes money. She's just LARPing with the Beaver Brigade and they are running up the expense accounts for dinner, travel, personal things, all kinds of stuff, and billing it to the show.

To be fair, there's interviews with Weinstein's other personal assistants that knew what was going on, and just looked the other way. I'm sure like them, she knew what was going on as well, but not only did nothing, she continued to work for him.
For The Acolyte, one of the biggest problems (and there are many), is that there's no hero. Who do we root for in this show? Osha and Mae flipped sides so many times, I couldn't keep track of who was who. Not to mention that Torbin AND the wookiee did absolutely nothing wrong. Plus... whyyyyy did the witches all die?? Oh yeah, plot reasons I guess. Either way, the writing feels very much like a first draft script.
