The United fans whinging all over social-media about the potential of signing Mount is mad. Guy brings some much more pace, energy & dynamism to the midfield & it's not like he doesn't have quality either. A good system signing for what Ten Hag is building & will make more a much more aggressive front-foot team, why you would bemoan that I have no idea. Not surprised United fans are too simple to see the vision though, same last Summer when it seemed obvious to me that the plan was to play Eriksen in the midfield along with Bruno yet I got laughed at for even suggesting it & what happened? This fanbase has so many embarrassing fans with zero ball knowledge.

The Ajax team of his last couple of seasons played with two midfielders in Gravenberch & Berghius who were their for the quality of their attributes in advanced areas of the pitch with Alvarez sitting at the pivot. Why must they be better defensively than offensively when you have one of the best DMs in the world & some of the best ballplaying CBs in the world in Martinez as well as KMJ if we sign him, other areas can support the DM & aid the build up.

I literally do not understand the hatred or dislike of Mount in the comments stating he’s not good enough…like he was a solid player 21/22 season. Every Chelsea player this season was crap besides maybe 2-3 players. This is solid business but ONLY if that price tag drops to like 50 mil.
Mount has had an awful season so no thank you to Man Utd. Maddison has played crap recently so don't want him either. Clubs probably want him for home grown quota. If Utd sell Maguire, McTominay, AWB, Henderson, Williams then we need to sign home grown players to replace them.

These are all true. ten Hag is grooming Dalot as a place holder at Leftback while Malacia develops as a backup for Luke Shaw. It makes sense then to keep Dalot for his quality and versatility. Mount is not a primary priority. It's just agent talk.

Mount is a solid 50M Footballer who will set a great example on the training ground & game day pitch for a Big Club - Top Managers Luv Mount b/c he's a catalyst - he'll run his self into the Ground for the Gaffer & that saves the Manager a lot of grief b/c Mounts sets a great example - but he is NOT elite..... he is a terrible decision maker & blind as a Bat in the Final 3rd & often fails to make BASIC plays in the Opponents PK area that are just momentum Killers.......
But Mount is perfect for a club like Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs (& let's keep it real Boehly-Tard's Chelsea) that will rarely be in pressure packed Spring PL Title race or the Semi or Final of a Champ League

As a Chelsea fan, Mount plays for himself, or the image of himself... Yes he shows the workrate... but his playmaking and creativity is 0, keeps the ball or passes back in order to take up a position closer to goal and receive a pass, grab a goal or assist... never lets the attack progress without him / in front of him... so he has been very detrimental to Chelsea's overall game in the last year and a half... not just this season... ever since we won the CL...
Absolutely happy to have him on the bench, seems like a nice person, happy with him leaving Chelsea too... just not being in the starting XI...

Mount at his best is great off the ball as well as a good passer, shooter. Unfortunately, the past season and a half haven't been great but I think it's more club than player. £80mm is too much though given Man United's more immediate needs.

As much as Kane would make us better, we lack control to play top teams and truly dominate lesser teams.We need control, so we have a better platform to create more and better quality chances. At times the defenders and goalkeeper are doing too much than I would like in games.

Congratulations on Mason Mount to Man United- from the Arsenal camp. All jokes aside, Mount isn’t a bad player in a Henderson type role. He’s a work horse and brings a lot of energy if you’re a pressing team. However, Chelsea’s asking price is unrealistic. I think they’re trying to balance their books.
