Frimpong seems an upgrade on Dalot rather than AWB who's attributes still remain unique and unmnatched
I agree.. especially if you keep in mind recent weeks where Dalot was absolutely rinsed by Saint maximus and then Awb came in second half and totally shut him up...I think if we are going for attacking fullback like frimpong then we should definitely keep AWB instead of dalot..if we are going for a solid defensive fullback like a Jurien Timber then yeah we should stick with Dalot.. depends on who we are planning to sign offcorse
fantastic video, people questioning his defending is very valid but he is extremely young and intelligent, he can become good at defending with time and training in a different system, i’d like him at united because he would offer what mazraoui did at ajax by being a flying fullback that puts cutbacks into the box for players to score and he would improved our right hand side in terms of creation, speed, ball progression and attacking ability, which is what we lack so much at united since our left hand side has always been much stronger compared to our right side in recent years
❤
Frimpong would be an excellent foil for Antony/Sancho as well
Who would be the starting RB Dalot or Frimpong for me I think Frimpong long term but short Dalot
Can't wait to see united fans cry for wan bissaka when every top winger dominate frimpong over and over again.
@@kouen8781 aren’t u cute
If he is as good as you say then buy him. If he is like Hakimi then he is something special
One of my favourite young players right now ..
Genuinely love watching him - electric player. Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen are also a good watch.
@@StatmanDave The boy is rapid and agile.
Perfect time for this video. Nice one 💪
You're welcome Matt 🙂
Cheers Dave. Have been waiting to see your thoughts and breakdown on Frimpong.
😁
unpopular opinion - keep wan bissaka, buy Frimpong & sell dalot. while dalot had a good season pre-world cup, i’m still nowhere near convinced. same for awb post-world cup i’m still skeptical but there are matches tailor made for a defensive right back and awb excels massively in those. the contrast would be interesting to see
He's like a Hakimi, Davies type player who will massively complement Antony or Sancho at RW.
I rather have players with high football iq then just speed merchent at the full back
@@kouen8781 Frimpong has football iq. Came through at City.
Statman love these videos and you always do a good summary of players, I think though its about time you updated the graphics a bit and make the overview a bit snappier. Not trying to be harsh just think itd be valuable to your channel
This analysis is similar to the one you did on Tyrell Malacia 😅
United should keep Wan-Bissaka and sell Dalot if we are signing Frimpong
better balance in the team
Controversial maybe but good shout and it makes sense aswell
Agreed, AWB is the best defensive right back in the game I think. And Dalot doesn't bring that much to the table.
@@12334ttqtqt keep both, sell Malacia. Dalot can play on the left with Shaw.
@@Adam-xe5xm I’d say loan Malacia out instead for a year
Keep Dalot and AWB AND buy a fiercely attacking right full back....
AWB can be converted to a right sided CB in a 3 man defence in a 3 4 3
This way he can be used as a defensive FB also when looking to close out games
Why would we change the system so 3 right backs can play. We need to sell one or keep them all and manage their game time each which would be very hard. Wan cannot play cb, he needs the by line for his tackles and would be a massive aerial weakness especially back post and I don’t think he would be good enough in passing out of the back and driving the ball out of the back, love wan but I don’t think cb is for him, I don’t think he’s a versatile player like other players in the squad, plus the 3-4-3 system seems to have been found out, teams are easily playing through it and exposes the weak midfield, we already have a strong midfield when all players are fit so why would we want to make it worse.
Would Frimpong be classed as homegrown? If so, even more reason to get him because United have a quota to meet, especially if the likes of Maguire, McTominay and AWB are to be sold.
Yes he will :)
It looks like AWB will be the one sacrificed to bring in Frimpong, but I think that is a MASSIVE mistake. 😩
AWB has been far better this half of the season in both attack and defence, Dalot has been better in midfield, but it's not like he's a Cancelo/Zinchenko kind of player who is great in possession, he's just decent. 😕
I'd rather have Frimpong for when we are expected to win games, and AWB for when we are under the cosh. ⚖️
I hope ten hag realizes this. Dalot is okay in build up play but average in both defence and attack, he gets done very easily as well and delivery is just bad. Awb can literally lock down a whole side of the pitch and imo is just better overall and is more aggressive.
@@MrJavy2009for real
Exactly! How can you even trust Dalot and Frimpong as your right backs😭 With Dalot we've conceded 7 against Liverpool, 6 against City, 4 against Brentford But we've not conceded more than 3 with Aaron! The only game we even conceded 3 was the Arsenal one! Lately with Dalot a cleansheet had become a myth but with Aaron you are very sure if you don't win there's a cleansheet
Yo Dave can you plz give us a video of santiago jemminez and kokcu
Frimpong's balance is what really amazes me! Something our current RBs lack especially AWB.
It’s hard to be balanced when your unbeatable defensively. All AWB lacks offensively is crossing and finishing.
@@AmenRa384 his dribbling is way better than Dalot, very underrated
@@summonerbraddysg51 Yup
@@summonerbraddysg51 His passing and link up is also way better than Dalot’s.
Once AWB leaves, why not but I remember ETH wanted Dumfries! Dumfries is better balanced in both offense and defense. Whatever ETH wants, I will support - In ETH We Trust.
We need him
Hi Dave would u be able do a video on Michael Carrick and Middlesborough
He was good at Celtic. Haven't watched his Bayern-Levr games. I'd also take Inter M's Dumfries. Also of course I want Davies from Big Bayern but pipe dreams
I do like the look of Frimpong, but what do you think of Ethan Laird? Wouldn’t this harm his chances of breaking through at United?
I think by now it's clear ten hag don't see much of Laird, Iqbal, Hannibal n other youth products
Frimpong is a completely different level but Laird is still only 21 - plenty of time to make it at the top but I think the best thing for his career is to play week in week out, not sit as 3rd/4th choice at Man Utd going out on various different loan spells.
I agree, and that’s a very good point, Dalot and Frimpong are both potentially world class RBs, and Ten Hag will defo get that out of them, so it’s probably best that Laird continues to develop elsewhere,
Everyone can't break through at a club...
They should go on loan instead of sitting on the bench and expecting chances... All academy players can't play... Only few
That's the reality
Frimpong is such a cool dude too
I'd keep AWB over Dalot as provides more variety if signing frimpong or Davies.
That being said people saying AWB is the best defensive RB need to chill. He may be the best 1 on 1 RB, but his positioning, ball watching etc. Let's him down. Whoever ETH keeps I have trust he can coach to excellence.
One thing I'm worried about is that it seems like he's replacing Wan-Bissaka. Dalot isn't very defensive either, so United could be very open at right back next season.
Welcome to Manchester ❤️
Dave what do u mean by in the third when discrbing frimpong
is there a statistic for moving between leagues? Something like if the numbers are transferrable from bundesliga to the premier league, la liga & vice versa?
Please also do a video of Orkun Kökçü, he seems to be a good midfielder and a cheaper option for De jong!
He's more like Bruno and less like FDJ.
@@lancerevo9747 Really? I thought he was a deep lying midfielder!
I would like to see Frimprong at United simply because the right wing has been a big problem for United. Even with the arrival of Anthony and Sancho, those 2 are inconsistent in their attacking play and shy's away from running at their man.
Frimprong would give Sancho much needed speed and support by overlapping runs when Sancho drops into central pockets. When playing with Anthony, Frimprong would provide additional width. AWB can then be the cover for Frimprong should we decide to attack more down the left depending on the tactics.
Not to mention, I'd like to see Dalot on the left competing with Malacia with Shaw pushed to centre back thereby replacing Maguire, freeing up some funds for other positions.
This move makes sense, but United's no 1 and 2 targets must be a striker and goalkeeper this Summer.
Hey btw, have you been keeping tabs on Gimenez from Feyernoord? He seems like the real deal
Will have a look John
This guy unlocks Antony
Would be a good move if he comes to United but lately it seems like United are just doing the scouting job for other clubs so we will wait and see about it
This January is so important for Manchester United and we must sign and sell players!
Casemiro varane sancho and martial are musts to go as their wage is so high and we should also be trying to let go of Antony and Scott as I just don’t believe in them and it’s really the Last chance in Scott’s favour any way to get some ok cash out of them
Onto signings we must sign a cb and todibo is perfect. I think dalot has a very bright future playing as a rb moving into midfield like Trent and have todibo covering the wide areas behind him is just perfect. Inacio will be great for the summer
Onto midfield and I still have high hopes for mount. Like he has barely been giving an opportunity due to Injury and just are bad form but mason has so much potential to be that eriksen replacement. However I feel like we are missing that sort of Fred player, plays the big games and just makes us much better defensively and that’s where Andre comes in but not for that role. Andre is a steal and we must get him and in the bigger games I would like to see Mainoo in that Fred role as Mainoo is so so so so so good and can rly play anywhere and as much as he will be an elite 6 he can very well put an solid performance at number 8 to solidify the team
On the right wing there should only be one option and that is frimpong. This guy is an attacking beast. However as a rb I do feel he will get caught out defensively but for leverkusion if you go on sofa score on some of there games frimpong actually has the highest average position. I believe he could be an elite winger and also with ten hag wanting to be an incredible transition team then he needs a 3/5 back system to use in certain games and frimpong let’s you do this
And finally guirassy is a no brainier to compete with hojlund and hojlund needs time to develop. Like maybe some games hojlund gets game time on the wing or something just let him grow as he is in a new league and still so young but Man U fans should be so excited for big Rasmus
Knowing us we will sign deli ali on a 6 month loan and that’s it 🤣
Dont forget Frimpong played with Sancho at Man City. Antony and Sancho will thrive with Frimpong. Frimpong if comfortable as LB., could takeover from shaw, who I think should be Martinez's competition as LCB.
“The Dutchman”, Ghana boy oh😭😭
Good ol' Jeremie
We shoukd buy both timber and Frimpong . Timber could be Maguire replacement and play as defensive fullback. Dalot could supplement as LB like Frimpong also Timber, Frimpong, Malacia and Timber would be good options with Shaw.
Will it blend?
3 other/cheaper right backs we should look at; Sugawara (AZ) van Ewijk (Herenveen) and Gocholeishvili (Donetsk)
Someone's been playing too much fifa
@@jimbob7924 were they on Fifa 96?... I was bored at work - did some scouting...
@@pinchweasel3689 that old chestnut
isnt it best for awb to stay as he gives the option of a defensive RB...
Ngl I think Frimpong will stay at Leverkusen for at least 1 more season before he moves on to bigger and better things because I don’t thinkJ Leverkusen will want to lose him yet and I think he needs about 1 more year of development before a massive career move like Utd, Barca or Inter
Dude is like Ousmane Dembele for dribbling, progressive passing and receiving.
But, watch his games and analyze his defending. He is average like Trent AA.
We need Andre trindade and vitor roque
Tbh, I’ll keep AWB and get rid of Dalot
he can be a good replacement for Dalot than AWB
Hahaha dave didn't even mention dalot. No way he burying his boy
Nah Dalot x Frimpong together on the right flank is the dream!!!
Letting go of AWB would be a major mistake
Antony is also fast
Am I the only one that's happy with Dalot and AWB as our two RBs? Ofc Frimpong is an upgrade on both, but Dalot was great until AWB came back and then he fell off, and AWB has been decent too. 24 and 25 are still both reasonably young and they have about two more years until they reach prime years.
dalot seems to be statistically a much better attacking outlet on the left. Considering his age we could look to move on from Malacia (after one season i know) and keep Dalot to compete with shaw while bringing in Frimpong to play RB with AWB. We still have the ability to play Dalot RB if needed or shaw at LCB. Makes for a pretty flexible back line
Dear United fan we can have Frimpong, AWB and Dalot we just have to sell Brandon Williams. Having 2 young defender then next year buy Theo Hernandez after selling Tellez having great 3 options
Would still keep AWB he's the best defensive right back in the world
Buy him but sell dalot over wan bissaka
I think I'd prefer Dumfries because he can play at centre back as well as at right back.
jurien timber.
@@Doctor_Kroom Either of those.
MU need clinical striker not another wing, and playing ball center back not a full back.
a RB Evra?
This is great, but we dont need two right wingers at the same time. Antony already has that position, and I’d be concerned with them both getting under each others feet
Would he be another Dalot?
That’s a good choice for ten hag
They made it sound like he’s terrible at defending.
For me...AWB has to stay...we'd basically have two similar right backs if he kept dalot and bought frimpong
I hope they get rid of Dalot instead of AWB
same simply because awb offers something different tactically and frimpong is more of a dalot style player just an improvement for ten hag's style
Wild comment!!
Spot on bro, we will regret selling wan bissaka, he is better than dalot by a mile
No come on dalot is class, he’s so good with both feet and knows the system very well. I’d also like us to keep awb if I’m being honest Ik it sounds silly and will prob hurt me in long run with how wrong I get it, but I don’t think we need another right back that’s going to immediately demand game time , I think if we need a right back I’d hope it’s one that can be an understudy and then develop under the system but idk.
@@utdspiritf1virk758 Yes we do need a RB that can creative and cross. Dalot and AWB cant do this right now.
With Frimpong, he creates and is an attacking threat. I prefer we keep AWB because we will face opponents where we need a rock solid defense
Can he defend?
He is not the best but can improve.
Definitely not his strength but he's not awful - speed helps him to get out of trouble & he's quite lightweight but he's quite tenacious. Very good when his team is pressing as his speed allows him to cover ground well.
No he can't that's why wan bissaka has to stay as well
@@AJ-ry8qd ten Hag tends to keep playing him, wonder if he is considering keeping him instead of Dalot. Gotta see how often AWB plays from now till the end of the season.
@@StatmanDave He offers so much more offensively than Dalot and is about the same level as Dalot in defend. I would rather pick him and i know Ten hag will improve his defensive game
Why should frimpong choose Man United over Bayern. Makes no sense for me😂😂
Welcome to Man utds new full backs... Malacia and Frimpong
If we are signing him to play RB, then pass. He'll basically be TAA, can't defend to save his life and we will have to spend money to sign another RB in 2years time.
for real.,Maybe he's just another TAA 😂
He’s a manc. Reason enough I say 😂
Just keep bissaka and sell dalot
I hope so
we should but we wont because we couldnt negotiate what constitutes shite.
Statman Dave has a CZcams channel 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and there's people out there watching and listening to his drivel. Unbelievable. What a world we live in.
🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
Pinpong is coming to Real Madrid, forget about him, we need him more...
😂😂😂
Frimpong is 22 , can't be playing for U21s ,no?
1st here😁

Sell dalot, buy frimpong
