    As great as Foden has been this season, De Bruyne’s output per minutes played this season is ridiculous and miles ahead of Foden. Going forward, Pep should be looking at playing De Bruyne 60-65 minutes most matches to keep him healthy and fresh. Because a healthy De Bruyne is insanely efficient at generating goals. See below.
    De Bruyne: 1,292 minutes played, 6 goals, 14 assists, G/A every 64.6 minutes
    Foden: 3,842 minutes played, 24 goals, 10 assists, G/A every 113 minutes

      @xixo4798 Před 9 dny +16

      There’s Messi and Ronaldo in their own league, then KDB and then the other world class players so it‘s unfair to compare Foden to KDB. Foden has for example more impressive stats than Vinicius, who‘s a winger.

    • @Photosoflife
      @Photosoflife Před 9 dny

      @xixo4798
      ESPN FC have literally compared Foden to De Bruyne in just the past few weeks. And virtually every English media outlet has some type of obsession with shoe horning Foden into the Player of the Year award. So yes, he is actively being compared to De Bruyne.

    • @MrJean-lc8ml
      @MrJean-lc8ml Před 9 dny +5

      They can play together finely
      Manchester just need to find a perfect number ten who can have unrecognized runs into the box and score tapins and make Haaland be more apart of the build up play
      Look at him at Dortmund when he was involve in Build up play
      He had crazy goals and some pretty cool dribbling moments

    • @MrJean-lc8ml
      @MrJean-lc8ml Před 9 dny +1

      Foden needs to be the guy who plays behind Haaland or receive the ball when Haaland drops deep and does a forward pass to Foden
      De Bruyne should play for about 60 to 65 minutes imo if a team is parking the bus with John Stones being the defender in the midfield
      But if the situation is bad take De Bruyne off and put in that number 10 who can basically ghost into the box to score those type of goals with Akanji as the advancing midfielder
      I think that number 10 could be Mathaus Nunes but he needs to improve on his finishing and his stamina cause he will be covering a lot of the pitch

    • @ExecutionerHopkins
      @ExecutionerHopkins Před 9 dny +5

    City are so much more enjoyable to watch when opponents like Brighton and Luton (FA Cup match when Haaland had 5 goals) don’t just camp out on the edge of their own penalty area with 11 players behind the ball. Unfortunately, most clubs (Liverpool being an exception and Villa at home in December) do just that, including Real Madrid in the 2nd leg. Having said that, it’s very clear why City opponents virtually never attempt to play toe to toe with them in open space and instead revert to extreme low blocks. Because they can’t get anywhere near the ball and City’s quality shines through even more in an open space game. For all the criticism Haaland has recently received, it’s very clear that most opponents have attempted to squeeze both him and Alvarez out of the game and reduce matches with City to an 11v9 contest in the defensive third of the pitch. As a neutral, I completely understand why opponents do this against City but it really takes away from seeing both City and Haaland at their very best. Which, of course, is the reason why City’s opponents do precisely what they do.

And how often have we seen goals being scored because teams try to play out from the back when they clearly shouldn't have?
    It's mind boggling that teams think they're "playing it safe" by putting a draft excluder on the wall when stats show there's a fairly low chance of a team scoring a freekick that way. If you don’t watch Brighton every week, I get this perspective. But half the team were kids-we’re down 10 key 1st team players, most with season ending injuries. It was Valentine Barcos prem debut and he gave up goal 3 and 4 but it was necessity and its how these players improve over time.

    Even though Arsenal are in 1st place having played a game more than City, I personally think that this is Manchester City’s title to lose. Because Liverpool have choked big time, the premier league title is now between Manchester City and Arsenal. They’re literally a different team when it comes down to the business end of the season and once again at a time where the title race is heating up they’ve won their last 4 league games. All of those wins they’ve scored at least 4+ goals or more and did more of the same against Brighton and already got the job done in the first half.
    Because they have a game in hand, all Manchester City has to do is win the rest of their games and it’s not always as easy as you think it is because they’ll have to play Tottenham away from home and as we all know they always struggle at Tottenham Hotspur stadium and while they broke that hoodoo this year in the FA Cup, they’ve scored just 1 goal there, they’ve never won a premier league game there or even score a goal in the PL in that stadium. Some of these remaining games that they have (Wolves Nottingham Forest Fulham and West Ham) and those are winnable games for them, don’t be surprised if they drop points to one of the mid table or relegation threatened teams. They play Nottingham Forest on Sunday and just a reminder that at Nottingham last season City drew to them 1-1. I expect them to take care of business because some have a feeling that Arsenal will somehow manage to crumble and drop points before the season ends.
