Farmer Klein don’t think I’m running any mods that would effect that. Wonder if the map effects it. Seems on medicine creek I had milk right away but I checked my cows on Lakeland vale and not a drop yet but I’ve just started that one. I will definitely keep on eye that now.

Really don't like the sound off waiting nine months to begin producing milk. In real life when you buy cows they're often already in milk or in calf so therefore wouldn't need to wait nine months. Also after nine months will that mean your herd doubles as they all calve at the same time?
@@FarmerKlein so will this mean that there will only be a few cows producing milk after the 9 months and you'll have to wait longer for the rest to calve because they were served later?
Seems very strange how they have done the pigs, and cows. I wish there was an option to buy both male, and female of each breed. That would make a lot more sense. Although It's nice to have these different breeds, it just takes away some of that realism when you for instance, buy a load of female pigs, and they just magically reproduce, but I suppose you could say that they have used Artificial Insemination, which I think is the idea behind their thinking. Oh, and it is pronounced Airsher, not Aarshiyre, or Ayershiyre.
All animal reproduction in my county is done via artificial insemination and has for some years now. I think they are trying to be true to life. Probably would be nice if it took a fee for the reproduction when purchasing the animal so as not to appear magical.

The water pump can be added to any map that has seasons enabled just place it close (not in) to the water trigger. Within 15 game minutes it should place water in the trough.

This might be in the video as I didn't get a chance of watching it fully but can you move cows from field to field, I heard you could have them in multiply fields
if you own multiple animal pens of the same time you can move them from one pen to another. but this is not an aspect of seasons this is something that can be one in base game just load them up in a trailer and unload them at the other pen.
You have to take the bales off the forks in the trigger and also make note that the volume level in the bale might drop but the bale itself not vanish. This is intended. Oh and straw bales are not accepted still. Need to use the blower.
I have a question about the milk cows. Do they have to have room in the pen to have a calf? So if I have a pen that holds 200 should I only buy 100 to get them to produce milk?
Tried this on at least two maps now, Oakfield being the latest, but grazing does not seem to work for some reason. Am I missing something? When the hay I've added in early Spring runs out, at the beginning of Summer the 100% grown grass is not automatically cut and put in troughs. Even when I wait and watch the cows starve.

its 10 game years from when you purchased them. with 12 transitions per year and only 10 increments of a whole number its not a 1 to 1 ratio of age to season changes.
Farmer Klein please forgive me I still Kinda don’t understand with the 3.7 years I wonder what that would be ? My female cows are at 623 kg so I’m pretty sure they are pretty close to being sold or dead

The limit of your bank account or the number of animals allowed in the given animal pen you use. Then you could put down another pen and fill that one so the limit is the max number of animals per pen up to 10 pens for base game or add the extra animal pen mod and then the limit is 32 pens.

Hi, I don't know if you can help me? I have the seasons on the map of Sussex and the icon of the animals in the help has disappeared, so I don't know when to replace food and water. Thank you....
I see you got your answer but yes between then seasons first came out and now they moved the animal screen and redesigned it. Covered in my revisit video that is later in the playlist. No big deal you didnt see that.
Wow..i really thought the grazing was gunna be different...so what are the animal biting the grass and taking it over to the troff and spitting it out? Lol...maybe im not understanding it rite...
The concept is that the animals are eating the grass from the pen. Visually it is put into the trough so you know the animals have food and it's a mechanic of the engine to raise the plane when the food level imcreases.
The 9 months before milking is a slight bummer. Would like to purchase fresh animals to milk right away. But not going to not use the mod because of that
It is based in the UK somewhere so it is based on real conditions. GEO's will be coming to make more realistic temperatures for various areas around the world at which you can select the one that best suits your desired location.
@@FarmerKlein Yes, they say based in southern UK. I mean right now it´s 82°F in Exeter, 70°F in Gloweth and Townshend and 68°F in Saint Levan, the southernmost town in England. 56°F is the lowest temp of the day, maybe early in the morning, not at 1 p.m. Maybe it could make 56°F at noon but I think that must be rare, I don´t know
They always felt cold to me but I had no frame of reference. In 17 I used the Mid-West GEO or when the SouthEast GEO came out I used that one. I live in VA and I can tell you we love having lows in the mid 50's during summer and that is a rare sight. 80-90's F is normal summer fair for us.
@@FarmerKlein oh well damn how do I view the seasons menu wait is that the menu that shows if ots like summer or whatever is there more then one page to that?
Well i got a problem with it, my cows arent producing any liquid manure or milk. Will it come a bit later? Do they have to be pregnant? like in real life, i just started with seasons mod. Im like at day 6.
If you gave the cows straw for bedding then they wont produce liquid manure. This was covered in the video. you get one or the other in seasons for 19. no straw = slurry where as straw = manure. as for the milk this was also covered in the video as it relates to only select breeds produce milk and only after being artificially inseminated and they have a calf which itself will take 9 months post insemination. So do not expect milk output until late autumn early winter year 1 and only from the cows that have given birth.

I do not know as I am not playing that map but I would suspect its on the ship. Although i think I have heard that map does not seem to take wrapped grass to complete a bailing contract for some reason.
Yes, that is the whole point with pigs in 17 and base game. Pigs only reproduce. they have no other value. you have say 50 pigs and over time you get another 50 and then sell 50 and keep your breed stock. With seasons you can have pigs you raise for weight and then sell and buy smaller ones or mother pigs that reproduce. the pigletts are free pigs you spent no money on and you raise them either to be come their own mother pigs after a few years or you sell them when they have enough weight on them that they have a value your happy with.
They have based the base geo around weather conditions they are familiar with which is in the UK. there are other folks that have written alot of different GEOs that you can activate.

its 10 game years from when you purchased them. with 12 transitions per year and only 10 increments of a whole number its not a 1 to 1 ratio of age to season changes.
Farmer Klein please forgive me I still Kinda don’t understand with the 3.7 years I wonder what that would be ? My female cows are at 623 kg so I’m pretty sure they are pretty close to being sold or dead
I’m on Xbox one and my animals tab is missing where do I find that screen I play on lone oak
The video shows you or should that the animal area is moved to the seasons menu.
@@FarmerKlein thank you so much
I have about 50 sheep in fs19 with seasons, I have had them for about 10 game days and I still don’t have a bag off wool in the pallet spawn area is this normal?
sheep only give wool in the spring.
Is there a limit on how much a red poll or “limousine” can get??
The limit of your bank account or the number of animals allowed in the given animal pen you use. Then you could put down another pen and fill that one so the limit is the max number of animals per pen up to 10 pens for base game or add the extra animal pen mod and then the limit is 32 pens.
Hey Farmer Klein I am on Lone Oak Farm n on seasons with Oregon Geo y am losing health with my cattle and they are not consuming food. Do u know the reason behind this?
In my game play with seasons on all the maps i tested seasons on and am now playing seasons on I have not run into this issue. It must be a mod conflict or something with the map. I would try taking out all mods other than seasons the geo and the map and see what happens with the cattle.
@@FarmerKlein I will definitely give that a try I been thinking that it was a mod conflict lol thing is finding out which one
I would start with any mod that modifies animals in anyway.
Hello and thanks for this video. But, i have a question for you...
Do you know if the season mods is compatible with some mods from global company like Milking times?
It's because with a friend, we want create a game most realistic like reality.
See you and thanks Again for your video 😋
any mod that changes how animals work could very likely conflict. when in doubt try it out but backup your save first.
Hi, I don't know if you can help me? I have the seasons on the map of Sussex and the icon of the animals in the help has disappeared, so I don't know when to replace food and water. Thank you....
Go to seasons menu. It's in there. L1 options or left bumper starts for xbox
@@michaelpotter8161 Thank you very much Michael. I was about to restart the game in case it was a map fault. A greeting from Spain
I see you got your answer but yes between then seasons first came out and now they moved the animal screen and redesigned it. Covered in my revisit video that is later in the playlist. No big deal you didnt see that.
@@FarmerKlein Thanks
Wow..i really thought the grazing was gunna be different...so what are the animal biting the grass and taking it over to the troff and spitting it out? Lol...maybe im not understanding it rite...
The concept is that the animals are eating the grass from the pen. Visually it is put into the trough so you know the animals have food and it's a mechanic of the engine to raise the plane when the food level imcreases.
It is too bad they didn’t use the same method as it was on the grazing mod in 17 where the grass just disappeared as it was eaten
The 9 months before milking is a slight bummer. Would like to purchase fresh animals to milk right away. But not going to not use the mod because of that
My animal menu does not appear even though I have seasons
its been moved look at my revisit video
Does the grazing feature come stock with seasons
Yes, as long as the animal area is prepared properly.
What if you speed up time. Can the water pump keep up
Ya. When you sleep at night its 5000x.
Maybe this weather is kind of unbalanced. 56°F in Mid summer? Is that farm in Reykjavik or something?
@@FarmerKlein hahaha, low temp makes me feel i dont want leave my bed. Where I live is 70s-80s all year long.
Wish they didn't updated. Way better before the update. More realistic. Vanilla version is more realistic then the new seasons. Sad
I think the sheep can breed, my friend tells me that he can see it get a new sheep in 0.2 hours or is it just me?
All my female cows say infertile i did just get them
I figured it out the seasons mod take my animal icon away so I cant see how much food I have or anything
Seasons moved it to their menu. I cover that in the revisit video.
@@FarmerKlein oh well damn how do I view the seasons menu wait is that the menu that shows if ots like summer or whatever is there more then one page to that?
God i love that mod
@@FarmerKlein Thanks for the reply, i missed that in the vid.
the animal menu doesn't come up in my pause menu, any ideas why
because it was moved to the seasons menu
@@FarmerKlein oh yeah, thank you
Where can i find the animal tab i cant see how much i need to feed im on console and it dont show up in menus
As the video says the animal tab was moved to the seasons menu.
Farmer Klein thanks man i play on seasons too but my animals dont get heavier what im doing wrong?
@@N5Addiction How much time have you had let go by? mulitple days? different seasonal transisions? If there not gaining weight over say spring to summer to fall then I suspect you have a mod that is messing with animals. Remove all animal mods and see what happens as seaons changs animals so much running mulitple mods that mess with animals will likley cause odd behavior.
Farmer Klein i tryed multiple gamesaves and i play on 3 days seasons and just skipped days my pigs giving babys but dont grow and get heavier same with cows and sheeps what mod i have to deleted i play on six ashes map on console is it maybe the broom mod?
@@N5Addiction Its hard to say I play on PC so I have no experience with console or potental mod issues on them
some of my holsteins arent getting pregnant at all
matains88 mine says not fertile
Not all will be inseminated. Some will some wont. Just like real live a farmer wouldnt do that to his whole herd at once.
How did you get your silo with no concrete pad?
The farm silo? It's the one that is there on new farmer mode. I didnt place it
And you can use the landscape tool as well
Farmer Kline are the cows not fertile the fist year?
Ok I got yeah
i don't no whats wrong with my seasons I feed my anials give them all they need and they just go down in qulity then die
Are you using a base game animal pen or a mod? If a mod then that likely is not Llowing you to clean them correctly.
Please, can you give me the water pump mod (see min. 37:30) thank you so much
Its a part of seasons. If you use seasons you have it.
@@FarmerKlein really? oh thanks ;)
I love the changes!!
how long the animals live?
Depends on the breed and animal. Brooding chickens for example is just .3 years while cows I think are all 10 years.
Can you not breed sheep with seasons
Sure sheep can reproduce.
This is a brilliant explanation and seasons will dramatically improve the game. However I have downloaded it off mod hub and placed it in my mods folder but it isn't showing in game. Please help! :)
I would say make sure you have the latest update to Farm Sim. beyond that look in your game log to see if there is a message in there related to it not showing up.
Farmer Klein thank you very much I'll try when I'm back home 👍
Hello, I need help, I am playing at Sussex farm, I have a contract for the transport of silage bales in the port freighter, and I have no idea where to download them. Any ideas, thanks.
I do not know as I am not playing that map but I would suspect its on the ship. Although i think I have heard that map does not seem to take wrapped grass to complete a bailing contract for some reason.
My animal tab is gone why is that?
Its now in the seasons menu
How profitable are the animals?
There still looking into balancing the animals
What is the point in buying female pigs is the offspring male meat pigs? or just more females? Do ya sell them to make money?
Yes, that is the whole point with pigs in 17 and base game. Pigs only reproduce. they have no other value. you have say 50 pigs and over time you get another 50 and then sell 50 and keep your breed stock. With seasons you can have pigs you raise for weight and then sell and buy smaller ones or mother pigs that reproduce. the pigletts are free pigs you spent no money on and you raise them either to be come their own mother pigs after a few years or you sell them when they have enough weight on them that they have a value your happy with.
2nd day of spring and I’m getting a foot of snow lol
Welcome to the UK :)
Hahahahahaha
are all animals like chickens?........1 male /8 female
no, it was covered in the video all other animals are artificially inseminated at various times.
How can i just take animals from seasons. I just want the breeds not other things. Is it possible ?
Seasons a is either all or none. There is an animal breeds mod for PC but other than that no.
30:00
They really need to work on different weather regions. There's no reason mid summer should be 56F literally anywhere in the US.
They have based the base geo around weather conditions they are familiar with which is in the UK. there are other folks that have written alot of different GEOs that you can activate.
@@FarmerKlein and I get that, but I think it would have been nice if they just added few options for climates, since they knew they were going to do Seasons with FS19. Seems lazy to leave it up to modders to add that in.
Hi
hello
"mr rooster will then fertilize the egg.." (while it's still in side mrs. leghorn ofc).. as for chickens it's usually 1 rooster for 6 hens, depending how aggressive (horny) mr. rooster is.. but i do not know what will be simulated in game..
It's going to be 1 rooster to 8 hens
It's pronounced Airshire for Ayrshire dude
It’s pronounced York-shear in England where Yorkshire is shire is pronounced shear
the dorper will reproduce
Think I can safely say I won't be buying fs21 until the seasons mod comes out. Fs19 was a big let down without it.
Basically....
nice video needs to be set up a bit better though.... no uh s allowed sorry
Oh ok
All this time developing a great add on for the game but could not come up with Male Cows or Pigs for animation in the pen or store menu.
SilverRedMan be glad they made this mod. Have a bit respect for the modders they did not had to made this mod.
Why don’t you mod it in yourself then
Oh goodie, here they are, all the white knighters for the poor defenseless modder.
Honestly though @SilverRedMan, he probably just ran out of time to get images, or he wanted the pen/store menu animals to match the vanilla game ones. It would look really weird to have Realismus add in new (and honestly probably much better) cow and pig models. Remember, they were trying to get this mod out for the mod contest.
@@ktrocknerd They can't enter the mod contest anyway, because they've done last year, and because one guy of the RM team now works for Giants
@@ktrocknerd No, they werent trying to run for mod contest. They stated this in december last year !!! And people here are not "white knighters". They are people who respect modding community. Im playing fs for more than 10 years, and i have seen plently of modders leaving modding scene because of bullshit like this. "theSeb" even stated today that he is "tired" of all of this. RESPECT THE MODDING COMMUNITY ! THEY DO IT FOR FUCKING FREE AND GAME WOULD BE LONG GONE IF IT WAS NOT FOR THEM ! You cant get everything you want, especially not for fucking FREE !!
Surprising that such a huge change for the game does not include any more achievements, I completed the base 23 and think more should be on the way.
