    • @FarmerKlein
      @FarmerKlein  Před 4 lety

      Depends on the season length you pick. 3 day seasons a month is a day. 24 day seasons a month is 8days. As you know there are 12 more ths to a year. There are 4 seasons a year. There are 3 months per season and 3 season transistors per season in game thus each transition is a month of real time equivalent.

    I’m a little confused still by transport. Has seasons taken transport bonuses out of the equation? If I go to the animal dealer will the prices be cheaper, and (for beef) when I go to sell will the price be better than if I sell directly from the yard? How do u even store enough food for the animals with only 1 harvest/year. I am fairly new to animals in season and need to refill there food every 2 days or they run out i have around 30 cows atm. Is the timing simular even with this many animals or do u have a bigger timeframe to work around.

    • @FarmerKlein
      @FarmerKlein  Před 4 lety

      30 cows shouldn't eat to much. On my south island save I have just over 30 cows and seasons reports them eating about 150K of product over the course of a year. Thats just over 35 bales if you use TMR thats maybe 18 silage bales and 9 hay and 9 straw bales. The amount you feed daily differs depending on the number of day seasons you pick but its normalized over a year so 3 day seasons players feed alot more per day than 12 day seasons players for example but over the course of the year the total amount feed is the same. 3 day seasons is 12 game day year and 12 day seasons is 48 game day year.

    • @FarmerKlein
      @FarmerKlein  Před 4 lety +1

      sorry, they changed animals around totally from even the FS17 seasons. I think that is what your talking about with respect to the 1st seasons with cattle. Unless your talking about seasons 19 before console release. If the later is the case they haven't changed the actual behavior just tweaked the feed levels some. There is always game play with out seasons unless seasons was the only reason you would buy the game in the first place.

    • @hollandjames3543
      @hollandjames3543 Před 4 lety

      @@FarmerKlein yes i was talking about before console release on 19. Never played17. I think the cattle selling and buy prices was more realistic. Around $1000 for a fully mature cow on the meat side, at least that's what they go for around my area, also i wish that a bull was the breeder and not insemination. And yes seasons was the only reason i wanted the game. I also don't like that they gave only the option of training other people's horses and not owning any. But i like everything else about seasons mod, so maybe I'll get it, its not like they made it just for me to where I'd like everything. Lol.

    • @FarmerKlein
      @FarmerKlein  Před 4 lety

      If your a PC player you could with some digging and testing tweak the prices of the cows to fit what you are looking for. The bull for breeding and horses though is not something easily changed. I know the horse thing was changed to give more balance to the game play for different season lengths. I was part of the closed testing team and I asked them how they where going to normalize horses as base game behavior would benefit long season duration. 3 day seasons is 12 day years and a horse would reach max value in 10 days so nearly a full year. Move to 6 day seasons and a 24 day game year you can get max horse value twice per year. The problem gets real bad at the extreme of 24 day seasons with 96 game days per year you would be able to roll your horses to max value 9 times a game year. With the livery value the same horse will pay the same amount per year with care being the same across all season duration options. If your on console then your kind of stuck with how seasons works sadly.
