    I’ve never met a catholic in Scotland who’s first loyalty wasn’t to Ireland and the Catholic Church. Celtic supporters wave an Irish flag! And the catholics in Scotland wonder why they’re hated by the Scots😂😂 every country hates people who betray their own country. The catholic community call it sectarianism. Everyone else would just call it what it is, treachery to your country.
    Of course this is all compounded by the fact that the Catholic Church isn’t even controlled in Scotland, that’s done from Rome.
    This madness started 1700 years ago. Emperor Constantine, an atheist himself, realised he couldn’t control the empire militarily so he created a religion, the Roman Catholic Church and to support it he had a book written, the bible. It was written 350 years after the events it’s supposed to depict so I doubt it’s a true and accurate record of events😂😂😂

    • @samuelsummers1371
      @samuelsummers1371 Před 9 lety +1

      I never said Scotland shouldn't have gone independent, I agree with both of you but nationalism should really be avoided as it tends to obscure the important factors that need to be dealt with such as matters of the NHS, military etc. Also a no vote could actually lead to more change in Scotland as those who voted no realise the mistake they made and the yes voted will become more antagonised and as the NHS becomes privatised and jobs to elsewhere people will start to wake up a bit more. If Cameron is so certain in his demand for English laws for English people then I guess he hasn't taken into account the north of England who would wave him bye in a second haha

    • @raibeartthehairypict4696
      @raibeartthehairypict4696 Před 9 lety +1

      I agree with the bit at the end, about the north of England.
      But thats what the torys have been doing for years.
      I've watched them for years destroy our heavy industries. And the smaller ones too. It's been blatent for years. They move the work too the south east where their heartland is. Remember it's votes that count. Not people!

    • @samuelsummers1371
      @samuelsummers1371 Před 9 lety +1

      Yep and now they want to build hs2 which will mean even more of our economy goes south, where the rich can drain the all what little money the uk has left. They think it'll I prove the North but it'll be bad for both the north and the south because as the south becomes more prosperous it'll force the poor out because they won't be able to cope with the rising living prices. It's not just the Tories though, anyone who you vote for these days will make life worse for those at the bottom and these days even those of the middle class and well off working class. Labour are just Tory lite who are too scared to let the banks fail, lib dems are a joke, ukip will be a heavy duty form of conservatives, BNP ...well they're the BNP, greens will make energy bills go through the roof, SWP are rape apologists who basically want to repeat the Soviet Union 'but good this time'. So fuck it we should just vote monster raving looney party, at least they know they're a joke.

One was a Crimean Tartar who had been attacked because of his dark color by men wearing blue shirts carrying that union flag. He and those with him immediately told police nearby who told them to get off the street in the restaurant but did nothing about the attackers. The attackers Unionist went passed the window laughing while the police shooed them along the street.

They claim to religiously Catholic but only want to promote Irish independence and support terrorist organisations e.g.IRA and PLO etc. They have no idea about forming their own independent conclusions after doing their own independent research… For example most Celtic fans are 100% unaware it was Pope Adrian IV in 1155 who gave King Henry II his blessing to invade Ireland.. It was their own Pope who organised the invasion of their beloved Ireland. Most Celtic fans say Rangers FC are a new football team and have lost their long history while being blissfully unaware that in 1994 Celtic were eight million pounds in debt and were liquidated / bankrupt.

    Everyone -- This is a VERY long post so please read it all the way through, as I mean every word sincerely.
    To see these comments below pains me no end -- for both sides of the debate. I personally am Scottish and would be proud to see Scotland become an independent country, but that does not affect how I feel about the clear animosity being displayed between those who call themselves English and those who call themselves Scottish. I cannot stand by and watch as our people are clearly in pain. First, I will address the English, and next address the Scottish.
    To the English: For those of you who feel this way (as not all do), I completely understand your reason for feeling animosity towards us Scots. While obviously not all Scots are like this, I have certainly watched anti-English sentiment flare up since last year's referendum, and I'm embarrassed. This anti-English sentiment, I believe, began with the English government's bid to control Scotland during the Middle Ages. Obviously, the English people cannot be judged by the actions of a few then, just as they cannot be judged by the actions of a few now. (I'm not accusing today's government of being unfair and biased against the Scots, I just know that there are Scottish people who still feel they are being slighted, and their opinions need to be heard.) So while I am a Scot, and proud to be one, does that mean I am proud of the disrespectful things some Scots have said and done towards the English? Absolutely not. It's my opinion that the English people have been misrepresented by people like Edward I (now I know that Braveheart is mostly historically inaccurate and very much embellished by Hollywood, but there still is no denying that he had issues... :) I feel that the English do not deserve the racism and hate they have received, just as no culture deserves it. But while your anger is completely understandable, do you agree with me that it's not particularly helpful for creating a kinder, more accepting society? :) :)
    I also know that setting such emotional burdens down is not easy -- there is a LOT of hurt and frustration here, on both sides of the debate. And I'm not perfect either! I, too, have to counsel myself. All I'm saying is that we have to try together, making steps in the right direction.
    But before I go further, I apologize for any political inaccuracies I have made above, and for any that I might make further on. I'm not too keen on politics, as I am currently a Wildlife Ecology student. While I do know a thing or two about Scottish history, I unfortunately don't know much about anything past the Jacobite Rebellion. So please forgive me if I slip up -- I'm trying my best. :) Please teach me if I am mistaken about anything fact-based! I'd love to learn.
    To the Scottish: I have learned the ins and outs of most our history. I know what our people are about. We have experienced together, lived together, died together. Our people remind me of the song, "Indian Reservation" by Paul Revere and the Raiders, about the Cherokee people -- "So proud to live... So proud to die!" (It's a pretty cool song by the way.) And while I absolutely do NOT hate the English, I do dislike and very much resent that our people have suffered in the past from decisions individual people -- many of whom being English -- have made. I was initially introduced to this topic when I was much younger (sorry England, you're not going to like this I'm afraid :) by watching Braveheart. And while it didn't give me a whole lot of accurate facts to hold onto, it's overall message did show me the thrill of pursuing a dream. I have to admit, I was pretty fired up! :) But as I grew older, I learned that while passion and nationalism are by all means good things, I cannot let them control the way I choose to see other people. As I mentioned above, do you agree that we all have to strive to see people for who they are, not for who they have been represented by? And, in turn, I hope the English can see us for who we are too.
    As I said above, I recognize that what I’m asking us to do is not easy. These emotions are very real, palpable, and in our throats. Yet in order to reach a truly equal, accepting, and tolerant U.K., I believe the goal here is not to see people past their differences. Rather, we must see and accept people because of them. Do you agree? It will be hard, but just know that my thoughts and hopes go out to you all. Lets walk together.
    Peace -- and I truly mean it. Let’s make history.
