I've never seen the knights of st columba "marching".
People come on these types of programmes and lament the ignorance of the "bigots" but display in everything they say they have no knowledge or understanding of the issue.
    What is the issue?
It is that Scotland is an anticatholic society and an institutionally anticatholic state.
It is a denial of this fact that leads to the trivial nonsense that goes on at a football match.

I think the closing statement from George Galloway should have been edited out.
What difference would independence for Scotland make to the opinion of others in Europe compared to Scotland in the UK "if we don't get our act together fast" ?
Rather did he not just send out a message to Unionist bigots to carry on with the shame already brought upon Scotland from (parts of) both sides of the religious divide ?

Why are Scottish Protestants and Roman Catholics acting like Northern Ireland is the big question.

This thing called "religion".Lets imagine just for a moment it didn't exist in Scotland, well we would have an overall more equal FA that's for sure,I'm basing this equally on the fact that many people travel from one end of Scotland to the other to attend a football match, not to watch football though, but to scream religious obscenities at their rivals for 90 mins! Slightly different in other parts of the uk where yes people probably travel far & wide to follow their chosen club but instead of religious obscenities getting screamed it's more of a boyish/tough guy type of obscenity. Politically,on both sides there is the "thick" element that would simply and (again) religiously vote yes or no in an independence referendum purely based on 11 men kicking an inflated balloon around a park! Seriously,I kid you not, they don't care about their children's or grandchildrens futures,no,more importantly is the good old religious fitba bragging rights, even though they're meant to be looking at politics and how their overall country could/would be governed for the better. Every single one of you that falls into these categories, hang your heads in shame, you are of zero use to your countries well being. Want to know a million years of religion in the space of 90 mins!!!!!! Simply watch the movie "Life of Brian",! There ye go,probably the most useful info you will ever hear(if you're one of the above descriptions)

99.9 % of sectarianism from both sides is banter. The other 0.1% would stab you for looking at them the wrong way no matter what side you were on.

Sectarianism isn't banter it almost destroyed Northern Ireland.

Sectarianism only exists in Glasgow. Nothing to do with the rest of Scotland.

Bollocks ! There's a huge anti-Catholic /anti-Irish problem throughout Scottish society. Just look at the Orange lodges throughout the country.
