    1:50 "But for Scotland, the campaign continues, and the dream shall never die."
    Alex Salmond's channelling of René Lévesque (former Premier of Quebec), when he said after their first independence referendum in 1980: "À la prochaine fois. (Till next time.)"
    People of Scotland, prepare for a "neverendum"!

      No voters feeling sick? I dont fucking think so, they are so happy, happy and amused enough to even mock Alex Salmond going. I am Turkish but today i understood this i feel more Scottish than some of those Prima Nocte breeded bastards up there, Wallace was not dead for 700 years, he is actually dead today, his own people killed him today.

      EH he is a POLITICIAN = they are professional liars and actors, the difference with salmond was that he was pretty obvious about it - he never tried to be the fucking embarrassment that miliband cameron and clegg try all the time "ohhhhh yess you know Im just buying a pastie like working class people" they cant even get a weekly shop or a pint of milk price correct. The only difference was Salmond was excellent at his job while the others are all disasters. Believe me he was easily the best all round politician skill wise in the UK and I doubt we will see one of similar quality for a while.

      He is just very sad about the outcome. For him it is like a dream he had all of his life shattered in seconds. From an emotional point of view I can totally understand his resignation. From a strategic point of view it may not be very smart to resign now.
      But of course you as the terminator cannot understand these irrational human emotions...

      duodecim stellae It's plain weak to stand down just because he didn't get the outcome he wanted. If everyone in life did that then they wouldn't get nowhere. So much for standing up for the Scottish people, He couldn't even answer simple questions like what currency he was going to use. The mans living in a dream world.
      This terminator has been reprogrammed and I feel all the human emotions you do + more...

    • @skullfokker
      @skullfokker Před 10 lety

      colintx800 it's not an opinion it's called facts, He resigned because of the Edinburgh agreement that HE signed saying if HE lost then there would not be another referendum for a generation. the fact that HE has resigned means the next SNP leader would not be bound to that agreement, there for making way for another referendum

    I am one of the thousands that had no interest in politics until you Mr Salmond fought and won the right for the people living in Scotland to have a vote and decide who would do the best job for the people, I would like to thank you for that and considering the abuse you personally received from both YES and NO campaigners which I found disgusting, you never faltered in your cause, you were determined that no matter what it would be the people of SCOTLAND that cast their vote and make the decision for themselves. I only hope we can look forward in the hope that there are more politicians like you in a future Scotland, you are truly a HERO for me. I am glad to know that you will still be involved in future politics. Thank you for all you and your party did for the Scottish people

      @spindizzy64 Před 10 lety

      He was very good. He didn't need to resign, he's done nothing wrong. I'm surprised and sort of glad the union stands but there could have been advantages to separation. I was hoping for a commerce boost to the N of England that would have come with a new border. I live in England.
      Now in the aftermath we have a London government that made you promises and I and many others will be watching that they keep them. If they don't and the SNP fancies putting up a candidate where I live then I'll bloody vote for them!
      Strangely enough the safe 'No' vote carries more uncertainties and risk than a 'Yes' would have done. Certainly if we don't honour our promises then the Scottish will explode in fury and next time will be a very bitter divorce indeed.
