    More about me as a Cosmetic Dermatologist:
    Hi my name is Dr. Stefani Kappel and I’m a board certified Dermatologist! I’ve been practicing dermatology for 15 years and have been obsessed with skin my entire life.
    Authenticity and honesty is my priority. Unlike many dermatologists on CZcams I do not accept any paid partnerships. I never have and I never will. Everything I post from skincare to in office procedures are ones that I truly believe in.
    After obtaining my medical degree I completed a residency in a dermatology at UCLA. I took my first job as full time faculty at UCLA as professor of Dermatology.
    It was then my love for teaching expanded and I began to educate thru social media. I post educational videos for my patients and for “skin nerds” like me who want to take their understanding of skin care to the next level.
    Thank you for joining my CZcams Derm family 💙
    I am also the creator and formulator of MDAiRE Skincare

      there is a company called consumer lab. They test supplements. You have to pay a yearly fee but it’s not too bad. I rely on them for knowing which supplements are the best because there no way for us to know what is out there. A lot of times the cheaper brands are the better ones 🤷‍♀️

    How does this expert not have more subscribers?!? Insane.. I wish I'd found this channel earlier. Thank you so much for the detailed, research based information!
    I have experienced skin benefits with the following oral supplements which I take daily and am absolutely crazy to most people 🤣🤣
    * Collagen powder (bovine)
    * Collagen liquid (marine based)
    * NMN
    * Ceramides
    * Olive leaf extract (liquid)
    * Colloidal Silica
    * Astaxanthin
    * Zinc tab
    * vit b3 tab
    * Morning green smoothie (spinach leaves/celery/carrot/wheat grass/oat milk/apple cider vinegar splash/lemon juice splash/reds powder/ginger raw cut up/frozen blueberries/liquid chlorophyll splash)
    * Hyaluronic acid tablet in water (2 litres per day)
    * Fish oil tablets
    * Vitamin C tablet
    * Vitamin D3 tablet
    * Resveratrol tablet
    * Grape Seed Extract tablet
    Then a topical skin care regime (tretinoin, vitamin C, peptides, growth factor, red light, enzyme mask).
    Then 10,000 steps a day (try my best) and exercise weights based 5 times per week.
    Thanks for this brilliant video!! x

    It would be my best guess that she uses many products from the Cymbiotika line of supplements. She's close with Chervin, the founder of the company. I use their supplement products as well and absolutely swear by them. They are pricey but are formulated with the best and highest grade ingredients available. I've seen incredible changes in my skin since using these supplements along with Dr. Stefani's line of skincare, MDAire. My skin looks amazing, literally glows from within and feel the healthiest I've ever been. ❤ I so appreciate Dr. Kappel for sharing her knowledge with us to help us all become our best at any age.

    Metagenics products work! I used the ine with red root to knockout a urinary tract infection that was suoer painful. I also used garden of Life probiotics with cranberry. I took about 14 to 16 capsules a day broken up and doses of two to four depending on listening to my body and the pain relief I needed and that stuff works.

    I know you know this Steffany, but just to also remind your audience: Sweet potatoes and carrots are converted to vitamin A, but originally are received to the body as beta carotene. Vitamin A is found in healthy fats and protein sources as well, which bypasses the conversion process, thus being more readily bioavailable. Would you agree? Thanks for your insight.

    For marine collagen I use purple sea moss, I consume two tablespoons spoons daily. Purple sea moss paradise is a company I trust. Do not boil it I just rinse it 4x then soak and blend until gel like. Not too much water when blending . It takes a little while to mix.

    Dr. K cholesterol-lowering medicines, the Statin, are strong antioxidants. That is not to say you put everybody on those, but encouraging those people who are prescribed those, that their prescription medicine for their cholesterol to reduce their risk of stroke and heart attack is also good for their skin.

    I also found your mention of molecular hydrogen very interesting and my quick google search showed that it could be beneficial for people with psoriasis. I'd love to figure out a way to bathe in it or use as a facial mist, but only found one japanese company which makes tablets to put into water for bathing. The oral molecular hydrogen I found appears to be made of 80mg of magnesium. If I already take magnesium, I wonder if I'm getting the same benefits?

    Hi Dr. Kappel! Just a thought as I was "listening" to collagen and absorbtion; I wondered if having the "leaky gut" would actually help the vital parts get into the blood stream? It would actually work in our favor. I have Collagenese Colitis, which, as you know, is a disorder that actually causes the body to create more collagen in the colon, as to protect itself from inflammation. After a recent Cecal Volvulus ( part of my lg colon twisted around completely cutting off my blood supply!) transit time has gone from wildly fast to snail slow. Many women have a lifetime of things like IBS, and "leaky gut". I would be curious to know if your patients or women on here, find that they actually absorb supplement better? Crazy, I know. I find that collage, does indeed work on my nails, and hair growth the best. I have no idea if my skin is intact for the age of sixty? I think I am average?But, I do find supplements almost overpower my system, and remain in my body much longer, enough to make me sick! So, back to the question or thought rather, Do supplements work for women with intestinal and transit problems, like they do with me? Thank you for all you do! Deaf Betsy x ( Formally an LA woman)
