I totally agree!! It is completely unnecessary to put ANYONE down because of their looks. Also, she's beautiful ( as are all women). The nasty women who don't feel good about themselves will literally look for any tiny 'flaw' or what they see as a flaw. It's ridiculous.
Who the HAYYYYL is saying NEGATIVE things about how she looks?! I assumed it was positive things-to me, the fact that she’s so pretty reassures me that what she talks about won’t make me look bad hahaha. Anyone saying negative things are sadly just projecting☹️
You remind me of the main character in lessons in chemistry who refuses to talk down to her (mostly) female audience and is appreciated for sharing her knowledge. Yes! I would love a dedicated video on how to choose the right provider. It seems a lot more difficult to find skilled experts in procedures like Thermage than it is to find skilled plastic surgeons.

Dr. Kappel, I had Thermage done 3 weeks ago. Thank you so much for steering me away from FaceTite. I found a board certified Cosmetic Dermatologist in the Philadelphia area. She has done over 5000 Thermage treatments over the last 20 years. I will post her name here after I see results which should be by Sept/October.

The filler mistakes made in the industry is so upsetting but I am glad we are getting away from it! I am happy you have so much laser and energy based devices experience and knowledge.
I couldn't agree more. And I think the epidemic of overfilled faces is the result of too many providers who are not appropriately trained doing these procedures now. Aesthetics is a lucrative industry and many have crossed over into this space to make money but do not have the right training. And there is no regulation or credentialing needed to perform many of these procedures in many states. Hopefully it will take a turn for the better. Thank you for watching ;)

It’s fascinating to watch an aggressive cosmetic dermatologist have a patient come in for “baby Botox”, but then starts the “and you know, we could also tweak here with ____ (hands patient an info pamphlet as they continue to act nonchalant and look around at the face)…..and if you wanted to have _____ look just a tiny bit more lifted to add a bit more youth we can easily just do a quick _______”

You are my professor! I sit at my desk and listen to you because of trust. Thank goodness you will do a provider video. We are at the biggest changes in our quest for beauty like the Industrial Revolution. Lots of snake oil out there!
I hope we can make a movement to correct all this "cash grab" and "hocus pocus" shams out there. Some aesthetic providers who are highly unethical in their practices. They are essentially practicing in a specialty in which they have zero accredited training in (i.e an ER nurse or dentist or chiropractor now doing lasers) It is so out of hand and unfortunately I see it all because they come to me when things go wrong. Its happening more and more these days. So glad you are learning from this channel!

I really like your philosophy on filler and aging! We need more of that! I think women look the most beautiful when the look more natural and healthy. And I see women that I feel so bad for because they were led wrong by providers and now they look worse.

Yes! It’s so great to hear from the mouth of a cosmetic derm too!! I feel like “aging gracefully” (I don’t think I’ve ever used that word in another contest, haha)-but aging in the best way we can-taking advantage of laser treatment therapy options etc should be normalized again! I feel like women soo so young start with the filler and end up just adding to it….perhaps losing a sense of what who they actually are and what they look like as they keep moving further away from it. It’s become a sad trend, because it takes away people’s unique features to an extent, as with one look you just see “a filler face”. There should be therapists offices next to plastic surgeons offices (as cos dermatology can def make a face look pretty cray-but the doctor has to be doing it knowingly…which they sadly do). Anyways, a quick therapy sesh pre-surgery may have people realizing fixing _____ isn’t going to fix their insecuritiesssss😣

I lived in Dana Point & San Juan Capistrano six years ago & have been to the medical center in Newport Beach, & I really do miss it. So enjoy it while you're there. All that and brains too! Photo damage is the one thing everyone should be preventing very early. I'm trying to fight my way back from far too much sun exposure in my youth and by far it is the number one most destructive element of all. Thank you Dr. Kappel it's not your stunning beauty which has me captivated but your trustworthy advice.
Yes I agree completely! Photodamage is the quickest way to age. Lasers often reverse this damage which not only makes the skin look younger but also decreases your risk of skin cancer.

My issue is with the upper lip and jaw do to a massive case of cellulitis after an oral surgery procedure that turned into a full year of procedures to clear up the infection… in this case do you use fillers or do you usually still use lasers? Keep it up.😊 I do want to mention that I had full facial rejuvenation over two years ago. There is no scar in front of my ear. And no visible scars anywhere. Surgeons are getting very hip to that these days. It was a very natural outcome. I am 72.

Dr Kappel would you please make a video on how to take care of the skin on your body and your neck (yours looks amazing BTW). With face it is a lot easier given the number of products available and the fact that it is a smaller area but what to do you do when let's say your body skin is becoming crepey? Also you've mentioned threads. Can you please make a more in-depth video on that. This seems to be one of the most controversial treatments where some providers love it and some say it's a complete waste of money.

Thanks!! Profound is ok. I used to have one but the results are often underwhelming and I have also seen acne like scars occur from that device so I am not a huge fan.

I’m 46 and have done periorbital neuromodulator and one Potenza tx on my jaw and neck 3 weeks ago at a plastic surgeon office in BH. You aren’t a fan of RF micro-needling, which is making me question my choice. I’m curious if Ella core (sp) is safe for Fitzpatrick type 3 or higher?
Would love your guidance of how to find a laser and thermage expert. I’m in Mpls and struggle with this. Morpheus8 ruined my legs and stomach, dimpling and ongoing red squares on the skin 😢
Hi again. What about a video on your thoughts about sunscreen and expiry dates? Do you really need to throw it out immediately? What amount of efficacy is lost 1 week after the date? 1 month after the date? 1 year after the date? I do not want to waste money or time, or add to my environmental impact by immediately tossing (recycling) sunscreens if it's not necessary. Thanks!

I've always likes the Vital Proteins bovine collagen peptides. There was a scare that there was plastic in the powder but it was just the scooper which I believe they are taking out.
Hi Doctor, love your videos!! How do you feel about plasma fibroblast? I’ve had a couple treatments over the years and were pleased with the results.
Hi and thanks! Regarding plasma fibroblasts, I'm not a fan simply because I have seen patients who have had this procedure and are left with laxity and often times with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Lasers are much more elegant and effective but if it worked for you then that is all that matters!
Is plasma fibroblast the sane as ez gel?
Hi Dr. It appears that there aren’t many providers in my area (I reside in Maryland) that use Thermage. I found one that uses Titan. Your thoughts on Titan please.
