I invested 8 years on medical grade eye creams make up techniques and eating right with a pure lifestyle. After much thought And frustration over the amount of time I would spend on trying to conceal my undereye darkness and puffiness, I decided on lower blepharoplasty. It was the best decision I made. It took 2 weeks for recovery, which was not even bad. The procedure took 10 years off my looks, and it gained me
My confidence back, which is absolutely priceless!
Amazing!!!!! ❤️🙌🏼
Thank you for sharing, as I am researching this procedure in the near future.
@BLE000 You will not regret it. I now feel comfortable and confident in any lighting and situation. I can literally walk out my door with no makeup on and feel ok. Before the procedure, I was always in sunglasses so no one would see my eyes. I'd be happy to answer any questions if you have any. Best.
@@bellakim9404what state are you in ? Really wanting to do this bc of hereditary eye bags. Allergies & hypothyroid. No creams work even w caffeine. Did you interview many doctors and or how did you find the right one for you ?
@gemi9i1 I reside in the Boston area. I sought out an oculoplastic surgeon. I met with the best in the vicinity with a track record of success and went for it. My eyebags were also hereditary.
I used to watch your videos like 4 years ago and now you look even younger 🤯
I can’t believe you’re in your late 40s 😮 you look absolutely amazing, and after coming off a flight? Wow. I’ll listen to all of your advice from now on 😂
Iv been in aesthetics for 25yrs this girl is fabulous with her info. Iv never found an eye cream that's impressed me I need to try yours🎉
Thank you so much! If you are in aesthetics then you know ;) iykyk xoxo
LOOK AT YOU. omg lady! you're permanently 18!!! 👑💕
Yes she’s smart and beautiful!
Awww that you so much! I feel 80 after that surf trip! lol
Dr Kappel, in your collagen banking video from a month ago, you indicate that bovine collagen is better than marine. Yet, in your answer to gothgirl today, you confirm her belief, that marine collagen is better than bovine. Is marine better just for the under eye area, or overall? I have both types (and I think they were actually the same price) but would like to know if, for cosmetic purposes, is one is better than the other? Should I take half of each?
I honestly think they are both great. Its hard not to get hung up on new data that gets presented each month but I honestly think you cannot go wrong with either. 8 months ago when I was doing my research, marine was best. After attending the AAD meeting just days before I posted the collagen boosting video, a few weeks ago I had just attended a lecture were they said bovine had the most unbiased data supporting it. I try to keep you guys up to date but sometimes the data changes.
You are the all-time greatest!! So well educated and double fellowship trained - truly brilliant and fun to listen to, aside from being gorgeous! The information that you share is clear and comprehensive, and your explanations (and pros and cons) about the procedures that are available today are greatly appreciated. You have helped me to make decisions regarding my choices and I have since chosen a board certified cosmetic dermatologist instead of going to a medi-spa. I also greatly appreciate that you are not sponsored - the information is so much more trustworthy. You are invaluable to the public, you are doing a great job, and you are the expert that I routinely consult!
my new favorite channel because you get more technical than most

Thank you so very very much for all your videos and everything else that you do 😊
You are so welcome!!
Your videos are always so jam-packed and I love it. I enjoy that you don't dumb the science down and as a result, I learn a ton.
I'd love to hear your PoV on "newer" treatments such as Daxxify vs good ol' Botox.
Daxxify is still a little too new for me to use under the eyes. Results last longer and imo it may be a little too strong for that delicate area.
@@DrStefaniKappel got it! For other areas of typical usage (ie: forehead). Thoughts on Daxxify? A video on new/ up and coming treatments could be cool!
Thank you , because of you I know so many things ❤
That makes me so happy!!
Oh my lands… Am I the only one that thought she was a teenager?!! I am all in with your advice!🙂
I can’t believe how informative your videos are. I always have to be in the right frame of mine to listen to them because there’s so much good science and sound advice and information. I have made too many purchases this month if skin care and make up. But I promise you that I am buying your eye serum on May 1. It sounds amazing and I need a product like that. Plus I trust you inherently. Thank you and boy if I have been up for 35 hours, I would look a lot different than you did! 🤣 I hit my threshold after being up for about 20 hours.

Thank you!!!
Fantastic information 😊
Thank you so much for this video ❤ I've been using your skincare regimen for over a week now and I'm absolutely loving it ❤❤❤ so glad you ship to Europe!!! How often do you think we need to have a break from eyelash extensions ? like 2 months every year would be enough for the lashes to "breathe" a little? Take care 😘😘😘
Thanks so much for this Dr. Kappel. 🥰❤❤❤ Amazing info as always. What do you think of Vitaran? It's a polynucleotide.
Saving up for my 40th birthday next year! A little of everything would be great :)
Dr Kappel, Will the Clear V laser work well for dark veining under the eyes? This was recommended for my dark circles. Also- I was recommended to the Moxie laser but I haven’t found any content with your thoughts on this. Thanks so much ❤
TY for your content and dedication. I wonder if you could update any new info on addressing jowling that is both a touch of fat and skin. Are you still recommending thermage for that? My medispa recommended Kybella but the reviews are so mixed.
Thank you for all your videos!! I love all the information you share. 🤗 I want to get treatment around my eyes to boost collagen and reduce wrinkles, but I’m scared of fat loss in that area with certain radio frequency treatments like thermage or rf microneedling. Should that be a concern?
Hi Dr. Kappel! I’ve just discovered your channel & I’m blown away with your knowledge & expertise! Amazing content! 💥💥 I’m a Fitzpatrick 5, postmenopausal & on HRT. I have undereye volume loss & wrinkles, as well as hyperpigmentation since childhood. Which in office lasers/treatments or products would be best for me?
Under eye filler didn’t work 😔 I’ve had some success with Cysperra, but the hyperpigmentation is stubborn. I’ve also gotten Dysport which looks great, but I want to limit that usage for obvious reasons as you stated. Thanks so much!!
Wonderful informatiom-packed video !
Hi Dr Kappel. Thank you for sharing all the great information. Question. I had fraxel under my eyes a week ago. They are still red. How long dose it take for the redness to go away?
I just found your channel and I must say I LOVE IT! You seem to really know your stuff! Also I think your a great role model for young women/ women in general. A beautiful lady with a beautiful brain, I wish I would have been seeing you all these years. I’m a 56 year old female who had a facelift 10 years ago and started using laser treatments and continued great skincare since. But I’m starting to see jowls again and my neck skin is getting saggy since I did not have a neck lift with my facelift. I found that having great skin is better than just being pulled tight, I don’t like to wear makeup so I’m trying to achieve flawless skin free from brown spots, lines and dullness. I also suffer from rosacea so it’s been a struggle to get rid of my rosie cheeks. Can I ask what have you used over the years to keep your young, flawless skin? The issues I’m concerned with now are under eye lines/ CrossFit and loose neck skin. Any advice to tighten these areas?
I found chemical peels under the eyes work very well.
They can actually help a lot yes! I’ve seen great results as well.
What kind?? Or do you mean in office??
Is there one you recommend?
@@weldinggirlI get my peels from platinum skincare. I use TCA 7% or 13%.
@@weldinggirl TCA at home and a few in office.
Great stuff Doctor! Can you please talk about Tixel treatment?
Tixel is great! It’s a little less aggressive but can be really helpful for under eye tightening 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. May I ask, what are your thouhts about Nanolaser? Thank you
Would love to begin using your complete skin care system. Please consider a video of how and where to place the products. Do I use your eye serum on the lids as well as under the eyes and how close to the lash line? You're the best
I'll post a video soon! Do not apply to eye serum too close to the lashline. It is meant for the upper and lower lids but not too close (more than 2 cm away) to the lid margin.
is fraxel under eyes appropriate for olive skin tone? I would love to do this.
Love ❤❤ Doctor Kappel what can I do for neck wrinkles? I’ve tried radiesse but hasn’t worked. Would you use sculptra, co laser or a fraxel restore? Thank you❤❤
We’ve been getting great results with the newer injectable for texture Skinvive. Ofvthe laxity is more severe then we can combine it with something else like Fraxel or CO2 resurfacing or PDO threads in more severe laxity cases. Skinvive has largely replaced Radiesse when it comes to neck rejuvenation.
Always learning from you 😊 Doctor Kappel I had sculptra and great results do I need to do it every year? Which I’ve heard we should 😊 but I only take advice from my favorite dermatologist ❤❤
It should last about 2 years so maybe re-treat then :)
Hi Dr Kappel, I'm so impressed by your wealth of knowledge and love how objective and truthful you are; thank you for all this information! I'm 52, with olive skin, post menopause and so sad about the changes in my skin, even though I take good care of it. I notice that your skin is so plump and smooth and I always thought it was due to fillers, but here you say that's a bad idea. Would you mind sharing what you think has contributed the most to the volume under your skin? I'm in SoCal and saving $ to come visit you. I trust your opinion the most. Thank you again! 💝💖💕
She look great 😊 she said she is using lasers on her face, eat clean, put sunscreen and uses her own creams. I also would love to come to her clinic ( it is more hard for me since i dont live in the US). But other than that I do everything like her and the resolts are good. 😊
I rely more on lasers, energy based devices, skin tightening and biostimulatory treatments now in my forties. Also religious use of skincare and sunscreen. I myself try to stay away from fillers at my age although I used to use more fillers when I was younger.
@@DrStefaniKappel Thank you so much for answering me!! I’ve always been afraid of lasers because of my darker skin tone and hyperpigmentation. Maybe things have improved now for people like me. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
Hi! What about Sunekos? Have you heard about it? It’s all over CZcams and you see great before and afters. I just don’t know if it’s available in the US?
I had 2 treatments and it did nothing for my under-eyes.
Hi Dr Kappel, thanks for your informative sessions. I'm from Australia and started listening only from last week & your sessions are great! Can we get your products delivered overseas? My dr suggested me to do tixel 2 for my under eye bags. Is it similer to fraxel?
You are literally the only person I trust for skin care
Hello, what facial lasers can be used with fair sensitive skin prone to melasma?
Hello, do you feel these very fine miceo needle stamps are just as bad around the eyes, im only interested in these as they dont pull/scratch youre skin and the clinic im looking at says its safe for around the eyes. Also do you have an dr recommendation for (hopefully) perth Australia but if not, london?
Thank you for your time and videos 😊

Hi pretty doc.. 😊 I am considering Agnes plus RF for treating my eye bags, I am 57 yrs old and having mild bulging eye bags. What do you think about the treatment..? Thank you so much for your advise
How long after receiving ez gel filler can someone get vbeam under the eyes? Right away? Can it be done in the same appointment? Love your videos and hope to make an appointment very soon ✨🤍
Hi Dr, I was wondering if you have any advice for rosacea prone skin?
What lasers help under eye skin texture? Can I do CO2 or Fraxel Dual if I have FP4 skin?
I would like to do v beam under the eyes. Any suggestions for a Derm in TN? or Georgia, Atlanta? Would love to see you but it’s just too far of a trip for me 😢
Hi Dr. Kappel, can you show the histology of the undereye skin versus other parts of the face? I'd love to see how the glands, etc are different. Thank you for your content!
Yes! I'll post a pic in response to this comment by the end of the day so my little budding dermatopathologists can see :)

I am a Fitzpatrick Type IV, over 50, and would like to try resurfacing treatments for fine lines/wrinkles under the eye. Which treatments would you recommend?
Love you videos! Pls tell us your thoughts on ultra clear laser as it compares to Ellecor.
Hello doc, what do you think about bellafill under the eye to address volume loss? My derm recommend 1vial split between both eye trough
You're the best 💕🙌
Any thoughts on fat injection in the under eyes? Also what do you think of skin vive, and juvelook I know the latter is really popular in Korea. Thanks! Love your videos
Hi Dr. Kappel, For example, someone with musculocontractural Ehlers-Danlos syndrome vs vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome vs Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome vs dermatosparaxis Ehlers-Danlos syndrome might have different considerations with treatments such as vbeam, peels, and thermage. Some patients tend to sag, have "thin skin" and vasculature that can be seen through the skin. Could you suggest questions these patients could bring up with their dermatologists specific to their EDS type when choosing a treatment to get done?
I would get approval from the dermatologist who manages your EDS specifically to get clearance. The intricacies of each type of EDS variant are very specific.
You are just the best teacher ever, for real. I have bags under my eyes (mostly hereditary) but dry and crinkly too. Do you think a CO2Lift mask would help or hurt my situation? I live in a pretty dry climate so am constantly trying to keep my skin overall hydrated and moisturized without clogging my pores.
Probably not a CO@ mask but a CO2 laser absolutely. However depending of the severity, surgery may give the best result.
Thank you! Could you provide us a list of question we should ask the laser provider before getting a laser treatment? I live in Germany but I’m Greek so I have olive skin tone. I need to be careful and want to ask the right questions to be safe ❤
YES!! If they are a board certified dermatologist that is not enuf if you want the best! Honestly. Board certification in a core subspecialty is great but gives a false sense of security regarding their level of expertise. As if they completed a Fellowship in LASERS or PROCEDURAL Dermatology. This means they had an extra year of doing thousands and thousands of proctored laser cases with an expert guiding them. Dermatologists who have that understand lasers like no one else and is who I would only trust my face with.
Im so curious to know your thoughts on PRF with EZ gel. I'm considering getting the treatments but it's so expensive and I just don't know if it will be worth it
Doc, what are your thoughts on filler? Many people in the field say it’s bad/not effective. Restylane Contour for loss of volume in face from weight loss/age 40?
Thank you for sharing knowledge. Do you know any Derms you can recommend in Ohio?
Those earrings are so cute! Great video
Thank you!! 😊 Revolve ;)
Could you show us the things one need to put in the eyes for laser treatment? Great video today. You inspire me in many ways. ❤
You mean the eye shield? Yes I'll post a pic in response to this comment in a bit so you can see :)

Hi Dr. What do you think of co2 coolpeel for undereye wrinkles?
I love CO2 for around the eyes ;)
Any advice for dry skin ?!
What do you think of laser for under eye veins? Mine are prominent and I would like them removed.
I don't have a problem with under my eyes, but I do have an issue with the top. And only on one eye. It gets puffy and ages that eye horribly, but the other eye looks normal it's very strange. I think it's connected to sleeping more on that side. The only thing which has been able to correct it for me is Olay retinol 24 eye cream and as long as I use it regularly it seems OK.
Can filler be done under the brows for sunk in eyes ?
So if your darker in colour would you recommend pico over the fraxel laser?
Could you consider doing a video on Renuva, please? I think it may be a great topic for volume loss.
I love Renuva!! Its actually hard to find these days and I am not sure why.
because its made from cadaveric fat?
Should you do vbeam before or after prf ez gel? Same with the fraxel. Does the order matter
The order does not matter for those two treatments :)
Dr Steph do you see your eye cream wholesale? Can I get it for my office
Doctor for perks under eyes how many times a year should we do it? Vi peel? Glycolic acids?
It all depends on the severity. 1-3 times a year
Wow! Great information. No wonder you’re fully booked for months😢what courses do you recommend for nurses interested in aesthetics? Thank you.
I love this question. ASLMS and ASS have great laser courses for nurses. Although I am booked out my amazing laser nurse specialist who trained with me and has worked with me for over 12 years is taking appointments. Her name is Stephanie and the office number is 949-688-1288.
What Lazer is best for fine lines and wrinkles &
tighten under the eyes. I'm 55 and in menopause now and veins showing under eyes and temples now.
Fraxel, CO2, ThermaFrax or Thermage (which is an energy based device not a laser)
do you do zoom consults? i’d love to get your inputs before traveling to Cali ❤😂😅❤
I’m looking forward to trying you ECM eye serum but also … do you have any suggestions for sebaceous filaments? I’ve always had them 😢
We just lauched an Exfoliating Cloud Polish by MDAiRE so that would help. Also a Vitamin A derivative would help as well ;)
@@DrStefaniKappel❤ thank you so much for your response - I really appreciate it 🥰
So is it a problem if the ez gel gets into the blood vessel?
I am curious as to your thoughts on Endolift, it is a subdermal laser, placed under the skin using a fiber optic strand to melt fat and tighten skin.
I have pale skin with hyperpigmentation. I did a laser once when I was in my early 20’s and then only did in office micro needling facials up until this point. I started to notice the hyperpigmentation in my late 20’s. I wonder if it was from all of the microneedling treatments I got. I notice that there is a clear line of normal toned skin near my hairline which the esthetician always stayed away from. But my forehead and cheeks have blotchy dark spots. 24:08 I would like to do some sort of treatment to address this. But I don’t want to make it worse so I’m not sure what is the best treatment for me. I’m 31 now. I also take really good care of my skin and do all the recommended things at home.
What about taking vitamin k for dark under eye circles?
It can help with under eye dark circles due to congested vasculature so yes it should help :)
Dr Kappel! I am from Texas, and I am saving up to come see you and get a laser treatment :-) I also ordered your eye cream! I am having horrible problems with thin skin and wrinkles at only 35 :-(
I am really having trouble affording marine collagen. Would you recommend I take bovine if I can’t take marine? Also would you think CQ10 or Resvertrol would have more benefits for the skin?
Thank you and I look forward to meeting you but there are also a few amazing laser specialists in Texas. r. Paul Friedman is there if you wanna look him up. Yes, bovine collagen is not the recommended form over marine although the data keeps changing. And yes resveratrol and CoQ10 are beneficial too-I have those both in my skincare line MDAiRE for that reason as well :)
@@DrStefaniKappel how many grams would you recommend I take of collagen do you take 40 or 20 a day? Thank you so much for the recommendation. Please keep making videos!

Hi thanks for all this information! I have a question about under eye fillers, if you use it could that lead to what happened to Kyle Jenner?
It seems the filler is falling down her face
Her injector injected too mush too fast and probably in the wrong injection plane ;/
@@DrStefaniKappel I truly apreciate your answer thanks a lot!
It feels scary to do that thou, if even for a millionaire celebrity it could go wrong 😬
Would sculptra injected mid face or pre auricular area help with volume loss under the eyes ?

I've recently developed undereye bags, which I've never had before. It's very discouraging. I wanted to know if the Regenerative ECM Eye Complex will help reduce "undereye bags" instead of "undereye puffiness", which I've read are two different conditions?
ECM Eye serum will definitely help (more than any other eye serum out there) but topicals do not compare with results that can be achieved with in office procedures.
Mono threads under eyes! Totally revitalized mine
I'm so glad!! Thank you for sharing! Do you know how many you have? Usually they are done with another treatment as well like a laser or filler. Is that all you had?
@@DrStefaniKappel wow, Hi! love your channel. I think they put 8-10 under each eye but they were super tiny...like a 1/4 of an inch maybe...and I had it done twice. I struggled my whole life with dark under eyes regardless of dietary changes. I tried PRP, but the threads truly got rid of them completely after the first treatment. I had longer mono threads placed in other areas of my face, but I can't say I noticed any change.
What about Nira - around the eyes, at home laser that I get pushed so much nowadays?
I've heard its expensive, time consuming and results are only temporary.

Does ez gel draw water ?
Ibeam has never worked on me and I would never waste my money on it again
Then whoever you’re going to is doing it wrong.
So can we use retinol under eyes? Does it work ?
I personally do not recommend too much retinol under the eyes because other actives are safer and more effective for that area.
What about polynucleotides? Or would they fall under biostumulators and are too new to have studies on the long term efficacy for eyes behind them? Huge fan of your channel and work by the way =)
I am a fan but haven't seen too much data in our medical community or in academic literature on them but sounds promising. I can look into it and do another video soon with an update.

I’m wondering about Nucleofill for undereyes. Dr Kappel would you recommend for eyebags and wrinkles?
It’s so hard to tell with this one. Because i’m
non- sponsored by anyone I can speak freely and say I have not heard great things about this one from providers overseas who have used it. However the marketing looks very promising. And i’m a big fan of biostimulatory products. but companies can be really good at persuasive marketing but I’d wait to see more sound clinical data to form an opinion. Hi Dr., can Fotona 4D LipLase cause unwanted fat loss? I know you said lasers don't reach that deep but not sure if the lips and oral mucosa are exceptions. Thank you!
It doesn't get a lot of positive feedback at our academic meetings and I have not seen much data to support its efficacy so I'm not in a position to recommend it. Has anyone out there experienced a positive result with this device?
Ah! Thanks so much for responding I only really trust you!
I guess a more generic question is can lasers reach the subcutaneous fat in areas where skin is thin, like lips or eyelids? Follow up: what if the laser is administered from inside the mucosa, can it reach fat?
