    One of the hardest things about this is finding a doctor who is as knowledgable and skilled as you are. I have watched several of your videos. In nearly all of them, you mention that the effectiveness of a particular treatment is highly operator dependent. True, but how do I know if the doctor I chose is well trained and competent in that treatment or device. I wish I lived closer as I'd make an appointment tomorrow with your practice. I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to find a qualified physician in my area. Thank you.

This time though, I was considering Juvederm Voluma for the cheeks and at your suggestion possibly Radiesse right under the chin. After hearing that these are sometimes diluted, I wanted to make sure the person I go to is board certified and fellowship trained like you. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You have to be careful with that because this can cause sternocleidomastoid banding with can age the neck significantly. This is why fit people always look aged in the face and neck. This is something that we learn in medical school, dermatology residency and in procedural fellowship. Don't trust CZcams for all your information as it can sometimes be misinforming.

      @@DrStefaniKappel That’s true, but the syndrome can be mitigated with regular stretching and massage to avoid tightness and trigger points. As far as fit people looking more aged, much of that can be attributed to over exercising, steroid and diuretic usage, crash dieting, maintaining single digit body fat, and excessive tanning.

It included liposuction, Renuvion for cauterizing and removal of excess skin. At my post op the doctor told me he had removed four cups (gross I’m sorry) of fat from both sides! I don’t regret it and can fit into my favorite dresses again ! Trying for five years to get my arms back and getting nowhere was super frustrating. Is RF or RFMicroneedling better for tightening under chin laxity? My facelift 6 years ago didn’t address that to my satisfaction. However, after my facelift it was discovered that I had submandibular glands & that hindered getting a good under chin result. Wish the plastic surgeon had known beforehand though so I wouldn’t have had the expectation of an excellent outcome.

      I didn't get good results (under chin) with RF Microneedling. I think it dissolved some of the fat, which has left it crepey. I didn't have hardly any laxity, now it's twice as bad!

    Hi Dr. I had a neck lift exactly a year ago and it is already falling a little bit so then my doctor gave me a Ellacore which the shots were so incredibly painful. I can’t believe it but I’m done it’s three months later and I don’t see any difference you say that I need collagen for my neck so it won’t go bad again is that taking collagen right now I take collagen in the powdered form every morning. What else should I do or take? Oh by the way I’m 65 and I’m lucky that the skin on my face looks really good but even after the neck lift I have a little bit of shells I’ve come back I wish I could come to see you

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Před 10 měsíci

      If the cores of skin do not come out then Ellacor is basically microneedling. Perhaps the technique was not correct or optimal. I would bring this up with the office and I would advise getting Ellacor done by a dermatologist as opposed to plastics. No one know the skin like we do. The handpiece placement ad skin tension for Ellacor is really important and make the difference between the outcomes.

    Hi there may I ask what you think about Morpheus 8 rf for tightening? Thanks for all the info🫶🏼

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Před 10 měsíci +2

      It is a lower level treatment (you'll find it in more medispas than dermatology practices) with underwhelming results unfortunately as well as a higher rate of complications (hyperpigmentation, thinning skin). Notice it always comes in a package and you get roped in to have more vs a tightening device like Thermage give results after just one treatment.

    • @josie_pussycat7899
      @josie_pussycat7899 Před 9 měsíci

      I didn't fall for 'package' deal. Medspa (not Groupon) wanted me to pay for 3 in advance. I'm glad I only paid for one, but it was over $1,000! I wish I had found this channel before I did it!

  • @abreeanderson
    @abreeanderson Před 10 měsíci

    Question about Ellacor: Is it possible to just do the upper lip, to create a lip lift effect? If so does the charging come in based on how much time and space (full face vs a few cm) is needed from Ellacore, or would it be the same price as a regular lip lift… how do surgeons determine cost is it final result and experience or is it actually “well this only took 10, and the machine was barely used, but the results are dramatic so around 1,000” If that makes sense! I’ll be a test subject!! Just saying. Love from Boston, Ma

    • @selectiveoutrage6617
      @selectiveoutrage6617 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Price is generally consistent with location. On both coasts in big cities everything is always more expensive. Midwest and south generally cheaper. Ellacor prices I've seen quoted by other channels is $1500-3000 for one session. But never look for a bargain in plastic surgery! Get referrals. Hairdressers are a good source because they see the scars and their clients talk.

    • @DrStefaniKappel

      I'm not a big filler fan but for the nasolabial folds Vollure is my treatment of choice in that area. Voluma in the cheekbones to lift up is also a good treatment. BUT skin tightening with Ellacor is one of the best treatments for nasolabial folds for those who want to stay away from filler. Hope this helps!

      Hi yes there are non-surgical options if the festoons and malar bags are not sever like Thermage lower eye and dermal fillers. However if they are more prominent or if you want long term results then I'd suggest a lower lid blepharoplasty. Just make sure your surgeon transpositions (not removes) the fat pads. I recommend Dr. Ray Taban. Hands down one of the best occuloplastic surgeons in the world.

      Biostim fillers are injected deeper than Ellacor or Thermage reaches so sometimes we do it the same day even so no length of time needs to pass before doing both. Ellacor studies said avoiding filler 6 month prior but that was just for the study.

    • @DrStefaniKappel

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I would not recommend any laser for skin texture at a dental office. That is a recipe for disaster. The same reason why you wouldn't want me to do a root canal. Other providers trying to get into the cosmetic dermatology space because it is a lucrative industry is the reason why we are seeing all these complications and suboptimal outcomes.
