ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEEEEEEE the fact that you are non-sponsored. You're amazing. Truly.
You are hands down the most informative Dr. on CZcams. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge ❤
Thank you so much!!
Dr Stefani is my favourite cosmetic dermatologist. Another great channel is Dr Anil Rajani. These 2 together are all you need for the perfect advice. Most other channels have their videos designed to promote their personal surgery procedures and feel more like ads than genuine advice❤
I'm a derm resident from Germany. You and Dr Kilmer are my derm idols!
Thank you!!! And congratulations on matching in Derm!! You're a rockstar!!
Thanks Dr Stefani great info🥰

❤Thank You for staying positive; and thank you so much for all the education ❤
You're so welcome!!
Hi Dr. Kappel, thank you so much for these super informative videos! What are your thoughts on Tixel?
One of the hardest things about this is finding a doctor who is as knowledgable and skilled as you are. I have watched several of your videos. In nearly all of them, you mention that the effectiveness of a particular treatment is highly operator dependent. True, but how do I know if the doctor I chose is well trained and competent in that treatment or device. I wish I lived closer as I'd make an appointment tomorrow with your practice. I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to find a qualified physician in my area. Thank you.
I love Morpheus 8. It works everywhere
Love love ur information! Wish I could see u!
Great video thank you Dr Kapel . I have sensitive skin, so i was kind of avoiding very active skincare. But with some skin care my skin became more robust, and now after a year on Retina, i think i am ready to try something . I am going to try your skincare, and see if my skin will be able to handle🙌 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Yes! I would try the MDAiRE NeckTyte-R for the neck. Its so good.
I had the Morpheus 8 on my neck only . I was adamant that I didn’t want my face done for fear of losing fat. I only had one treatment. It I totally notice a difference in a month. Tighter neck.
Dr. I just love your informative videos!! Being in the US, I could not be further from you in Maine. Do you have any colleagues in the Northeast that are trained in Ellacor or Thermage?
Love this beautiful Dr 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Stefani, I've noticed a significant improvement in your neck compared to your videos from five years ago. Could you please consider making a video to inform us about what you did for your neck improvement?
It sounds like Ellacor does for your skin what aerating your lawn does for the grass!🤗
Can you do a vid on collagen supplements? They are not inexpensive and I have heard conflicting information it works or not.
Hi Dr. Kappel! I just started on your MDaire neck tyte serum this week and I have already noticed my 54 year old neck looks more hydrated and plumper. I am happy! Going to add your vit c and retinol next!
Amazing!! Thank you for sharing!! I'm obsessed with it myself and never miss aa day on my neck!!
@@DrStefaniKappel do you have any before/after photos of improvements made by the serum? That would be helpful if so.
You look beautiful, as always. Looks like you had fillers dissolved. I did recently, as well. Hoping lasers will make up for what I've lost.
So happy I found found your channel. I do have a question about the LED masks I recently purchased the omnilux facemask and the one for neck. Can you speak on these?
You give really great information! also what about (PRF?) to the neck and or (fatt transfer?0 quite curious because these modalities are super rejuvenative to the tissue? thank you!!🌈
Can you recommend someone in Florida with similar experience? Thank you for all the great information.
Hi Dr. Kappel! I had Ultherapy performed on my neck recently. The sides of my neck have improved, but since they cannot use the device in the front, along the windpipe, the skin still looks creapy. Do you recommend lasers for the front on the neck, along the windpipe? Thanks so much!
Can you do thermage after having radiesse? Love your videos! Thank you!
Can you do your before and after on Ellacor on the neck please? I am considering this treatment. thank you
Great information! Thank you!
Do you think Thermage or Ellacore does a better job for neck tightening?
Both work well but Thermage has zero downtime and Ellacor has 1-2 weeks of bruising and redness on the neck. Ellacor may have slightly better results.
Great video. I recently purchased your neck product from skin truth and love it.
Are you able to recommend any good providers in Chicago?
So glad you love it!! Dr. Omar Ibrahim in Chicago ;)
How effective is fotona for skin laxity under chin?
Would you do Ellacor if I have atopic dermatitis on dupixent? Have avoided micro needling and ablative devices. Thanks!
Great information, can you recommend a good dermatologist in the Dallas area to do these procedures?
Hi dr! I had a quick question which is a little different from the video topic, does coolsculpting or ems sculpt work for saggy skin? I dont have much just a little on my under arms but the fat just doesnt go away :(
Can you address the concern about hyperpigmentation in regards to Ellacor? What should be done to prevent that? Besides SPF and Zinc?
Thank you!!! Doctor Kappel do you see results right away with radiesse? How long does it last? ❤I ❤
It takes a few weeks to see results and lasts about 2 years
Do you think skin cuiticals AGE interrupter is a good product?
Dr what is the differnce between Ultherapy and Thermage??
Hi Dr. Kappel, I was just wondering if you had any provider recommendations for cheek fillers in Columbus, Ohio. I've had them before, and I loved them! Radiesse lasted longer than Juvederm. This time though, I was considering Juvederm Voluma for the cheeks and at your suggestion possibly Radiesse right under the chin. After hearing that these are sometimes diluted, I wanted to make sure the person I go to is board certified and fellowship trained like you. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for continuing to educate us and for everything you do.
Take care,
Heather W.
I just wanted to tell you that in the neck what you do want is dilute radiesse.
Can’t wait to see the neck videos! I wish I lived closer.. I live in Central Valley CA
Thank you!!
Love your videos.. can you recommend a dermotologist in Miami Fl.
Love your nails 😍💅
Thanks!!
Thank you Dr. Stefani! ❤Icompletely trust and rely on the straightforward and honest education you provide! We appreciate you so much!!!😊
Two ❓❓
❓You didn’t mention Skintyte I’m assuming because you believe it’s not as effective. can you please explain why that is?
❓ also, I have been hearing about the new bio stimulator that is better than sculptra… LanLuma. Have any thoughts on that and is that available yet?
If you are able to answer these questions at some point, I would very much appreciate it, but I understand your life is very busy! Either way, thank you for your time and education! 😘
SkinTyte is BBL (not a laser and not RF) not as effective
LanLuma and Sculptra are both PLLA. Just different companies but both equally effective from my experience
@@DrStefaniKappel
Thank you!!!
Hi Dr. Thank you so much for this video. Would you suggest hyperdilute Radiesse over threads for neck?
They work by different mechanisms of action. Both a re great but it just depends on which one better fits with your downtime, length of results, etc. Its like going to the gym and deciding if you want to lift weights or do cardio. Both work well its just a preference.
@YoungrbyStefaniKappelMD This is a great analogy, thank you! Oftentimes, patients seem to have this one or the other approach when it comes to minimally invasive procedures. A holistic approach is always the way to go.
Would Thermage be better for loose skin under the chin?
Do you not recommend microneedling for the face as well?
Are there home energy-based devices that are effective?
I am 38, I am getting a CO2 full face/ eyes along with Thermage lower face and neck in October. I can't wait to see results.
Your 50 year old self is thanking your 38 year old self right now. I started lasers in my 20s and now see the pay off in my mid 40s. Good job!
isnt co2 is way too early and aggressive for 38? i did co2 for my burns on legs and had downtime for 2 weeks.
i cannot understand what is the need to do co2 for healthy skin at 38 yo?
To keep your skin healthy and I had 2 done in my twenties for scars.
@@DrStefaniKappel I have to look through your channel to see what lasers you had done in your 20s, I'm in my late 20s and hadn't even considered doing that! If you haven't made a video for that yet though I'd love to see it.
Is Pelleve the same as Thermage?
I so wish you would move to the Tampa area😂 as always, thank you for your excellent information and explanations :-)
Thank you!! I love Florida!!
Hi, Dr. Kappel (again). I just had a doctor's appointment and was told about a new technology called Sofwave (spelled without the "t.") Are you able to speak about it? Is it worth it? Appearantly it is better than Thermage FLX. Look forward to your answer!.
Do you ship your skincare products to the UK? X
Doesnt heating the deep layers of the skin kill facial fat and volume? I hear lots of complaints about heating devices
How many thermage treatments are needed for neck area? I am supposed to go for microneedling in a couple weeks. I may cancel. 🤔
Dr. Stef, im curious to know your comments on the following video where he states energy devices actially are the opposite of anti ageing. Ill try to send it here.
Neck strengthening exercises also help to keep things tight.
You have to be careful with that because this can cause sternocleidomastoid banding with can age the neck significantly. This is why fit people always look aged in the face and neck. This is something that we learn in medical school, dermatology residency and in procedural fellowship. Don't trust CZcams for all your information as it can sometimes be misinforming.
@@DrStefaniKappel That’s true, but the syndrome can be mitigated with regular stretching and massage to avoid tightness and trigger points. As far as fit people looking more aged, much of that can be attributed to over exercising, steroid and diuretic usage, crash dieting, maintaining single digit body fat, and excessive tanning.
@@DeusExMachina50Think I will go with the expert😂
Dr Kappel would you use Radiesse under the chin, submental area for collagen stimulation? I don't have access to Thermage but the local clinic has a Fotona laser which they say does neck tightening 🤔
neck and lower face yes but I would avoid Radiesse in the submentum
Can a 13% Tca peel be done on face and neck 1 week prior to a Picosure face treatment? Or after?
it would be amazing if you had a training program!
I may be starting a laser and injectable academy in the future. I can teach 20 years worth of school and what I have learned along the way to advanced providers to ensure the best outcomes and safety.
I'm an esthetician, do you have any advice for persuing being a cosmetic dermatologist? You have to be an RN in Ohio to administer botox, etc. I'm not trying to do that really. Not sure the regulations with CA but would love your advice!
I have a question, what is your opinion on the micro needling with one's own plasma for face and neck rejuvenation? Thank you for your time, education and answer.
I DIY my own PRP and yes, it works.
Not a big fan because results are always underwhelming. Sounds good in theory and very enticing marketing but in real life results are disappointing
Can you explain why my doc won’t do co2 on my neck. Thanks But will the co2 tighten up skin under the eyes ?
Would love to hear your thoughts on sofwave
I think its ok. I've had one in my office and it didn't perform as well as Thermage. Patients often stated that results were underwhelming.
What kind of techniques can we do at home besides skin care… Such as face yoga or Gacha or facial massage?
What about Thermage for dark (brown/black) skin tones? I hear mixed opinions about it that is can cause hyperpigmentation.
There is no risk for hyperpigmentation with Thermage when done correctly, which make it a great option.
Please do a video on tightening arm flab
I personally had an arm lift two weeks ago. After years of trying to rid the area of fat and loose skin through diet, weight lifting and cardio I threw in the towel and got surgery. It included liposuction, Renuvion for cauterizing and removal of excess skin. At my post op the doctor told me he had removed four cups (gross I’m sorry) of fat from both sides! I don’t regret it and can fit into my favorite dresses again ! Trying for five years to get my arms back and getting nowhere was super frustrating. Genetics and age are difficult to overcome sometimes without some kind of intervention
@birdlover7776
I have an appointment this Friday for a mini arm lift…I’ve had lipo in 2010, Arm Tite in 2018, recently tried Vivace (which only made it worse), doing micro needling now with absolutely no results. Of course I’m going to be 70 yo next month but look much younger.
Appreciate your reply ❤
@@tonic2335 yes good luck to you!Oftentimes going under the knife is the best option 🌸😊
Thank you for your information you share with people, i am 55 man my nack suddenly sagging started a year ago my face is okay but my nack make me depressed honestly i don't want to surgery at this age please respond me clearly , i want come your office for treatment but i need to know which model of thermage device you use and combine which other treatment just for sagging nack and bands?
I am waiting for your respond, why you didn't respond me yet ?
How do we know if a doctor is trained correctly, what do we watch for? Could you recommend someone in the Phoenix area?

Is RF or RFMicroneedling better for tightening under chin laxity? My facelift 6 years ago didn’t address that to my satisfaction. However, after my facelift it was discovered that I had submandibular glands & that hindered getting a good under chin result. Wish the plastic surgeon had known beforehand though so I wouldn’t have had the expectation of an excellent outcome.
I didn't get good results (under chin) with RF Microneedling. I think it dissolved some of the fat, which has left it crepey. I didn't have hardly any laxity, now it's twice as bad!
When would you use the neck serum - am or pm? Thx 💜
I use it both! But if you want you can use AM or PM. If you use it in the AM just be sure to wear your sunscreen over it.
What about PRF I’m hearing that helps a lot. What do you think ?
A lot of hype and marketing but unfortunately underwhelming results
Hi Dr. I had a neck lift exactly a year ago and it is already falling a little bit so then my doctor gave me a Ellacore which the shots were so incredibly painful. I can’t believe it but I’m done it’s three months later and I don’t see any difference you say that I need collagen for my neck so it won’t go bad again is that taking collagen right now I take collagen in the powdered form every morning. What else should I do or take? Oh by the way I’m 65 and I’m lucky that the skin on my face looks really good but even after the neck lift I have a little bit of shells I’ve come back I wish I could come to see you
If the cores of skin do not come out then Ellacor is basically microneedling. Perhaps the technique was not correct or optimal. I would bring this up with the office and I would advise getting Ellacor done by a dermatologist as opposed to plastics. No one know the skin like we do. The handpiece placement ad skin tension for Ellacor is really important and make the difference between the outcomes.
I just got Thermage because of your videos. Now there’s Ellacor! 🤦🏽♀️
Hi there may I ask what you think about Morpheus 8 rf for tightening? Thanks for all the info🫶🏼
It is a lower level treatment (you'll find it in more medispas than dermatology practices) with underwhelming results unfortunately as well as a higher rate of complications (hyperpigmentation, thinning skin). Notice it always comes in a package and you get roped in to have more vs a tightening device like Thermage give results after just one treatment.
I didn't fall for 'package' deal. Medspa (not Groupon) wanted me to pay for 3 in advance. I'm glad I only paid for one, but it was over $1,000! I wish I had found this channel before I did it!
Question about Ellacor: Is it possible to just do the upper lip, to create a lip lift effect? If so does the charging come in based on how much time and space (full face vs a few cm) is needed from Ellacore, or would it be the same price as a regular lip lift… how do surgeons determine cost is it final result and experience or is it actually “well this only took 10, and the machine was barely used, but the results are dramatic so around 1,000” If that makes sense! I’ll be a test subject!! Just saying. Love from Boston, Ma
Price is generally consistent with location. On both coasts in big cities everything is always more expensive. Midwest and south generally cheaper. Ellacor prices I've seen quoted by other channels is $1500-3000 for one session. But never look for a bargain in plastic surgery! Get referrals. Hairdressers are a good source because they see the scars and their clients talk.
What about bbl ?
Hi Dr Kappel , subscriber here 🫶 what treatments are best for softening nasal labial folds? Can you make a video about addressing nasal labial folds? Thank you 🙏 😊
I'm not a big filler fan but for the nasolabial folds Vollure is my treatment of choice in that area. Voluma in the cheekbones to lift up is also a good treatment. BUT skin tightening with Ellacor is one of the best treatments for nasolabial folds for those who want to stay away from filler. Hope this helps!
this helps a ton, thank you!@@DrStefaniKappel
@@DrStefaniKappelellacor for how long keeps the effect/should be repeated? how many times in life it can be done without passing to strong side effects? 42 yo here
Thank you for this video. I did Morpheus. Lost volume in my neck. Crepey and saggy now. What can I do to help restore lost volume? I’ll be in to see you in September ❤
Same exact happened to me with Morpheus. My neck was perfect before I just had a little bit of a double chin but now my neck looks older and looser. So upsetting. People should stay away from Morpheus8.
I hear that all the time which is why I do not recommend Morpheus.
I have sagging on my neck how do I take care of this
🌸 morning!🌸
What do you suggest for festoons and malar bags?
Thank you!
🌸🌸🌸
Lower blepharoplasty. Seriously your bags and wrinkles will get removed. It’ll set you back about 3500. by a skilled surgeon
Yup. I know about that as well. Thank you for your input.😊 I wanted her input since she seems to have a hand in all things skin. I'm trying to avoid the Blep surgery. I've watched a bunch of videos. It makes me nervous.
Hi yes there are non-surgical options if the festoons and malar bags are not sever like Thermage lower eye and dermal fillers. However if they are more prominent or if you want long term results then I'd suggest a lower lid blepharoplasty. Just make sure your surgeon transpositions (not removes) the fat pads. I recommend Dr. Ray Taban. Hands down one of the best occuloplastic surgeons in the world.
🙏🏼🌸 THANK YOU so MUCH. 🌸🙏🏼
I’m praying like a nun for the right choice.
I’m just happy to know what my problem is now nearly a year later.
Many blessings. 🙏🏼
Oh ki
How long after getting a series of sculptra can you get ellacor or thermage?
Biostim fillers are injected deeper than Ellacor or Thermage reaches so sometimes we do it the same day even so no length of time needs to pass before doing both. Ellacor studies said avoiding filler 6 month prior but that was just for the study.
Oh has fraxel done too
Love fraxel
I love fraxel
Would you combine Thermage and Radiesse?
yes, they work on different depth,(if you mean diluted radiesse, of course)
but consult ur provider
I would love to try your neck serum, but it is out of my price range. Would you consider a sale? if so could you please let your subscribers know. I do appreciate the 10% discount, but hoping for a substantive sale, maybe after or prior to Holidays.
Thank you again!
We have sales around the holidays but it only happens once a year
Can I buy your products from Japan? I so much want to come see you for ellacore for my neck 😊
So you did Mohs micrographic surgery as well as cosmetic derm?
Yes ma’am
I lost 50 pounds & im 60 and have crepey loose skin on ky beck. Not real bad but somedays it looks worse. I had ULTHERAPY a year ago and it helped but i think its returning. Wgat to do?
Hi Dr Kappel. Are any of these neck treatments appropriate for someone with hyper mobile Ehlers Danlos?
Ehlers Danlos is contraindicated for several treatments because of the collagen mutation depending on the type of EDS. I'd get clearance from the derm who manages your disease first.
@@DrStefaniKappel Thank you! ❤️
please do more videos on EDS (when you have time of course!) Thank you :)
@@DrReedB0928 Agreed!! Yes, please!!
I am a Holistic Dentist working in a office that is starting to do Facial Aesthetics. They have a Fotona Laser, do you have any information or comments on this laser?
I would not recommend any laser for skin texture at a dental office. That is a recipe for disaster. The same reason why you wouldn't want me to do a root canal. Other providers trying to get into the cosmetic dermatology space because it is a lucrative industry is the reason why we are seeing all these complications and suboptimal outcomes.
i did Fotona laser by derm and liked results
Sorry another question 😂 if we were checking with our provider, mine's a nurse, what should the hyper dilute Radiesse constitution be? Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤
Oh I cannot give out that information I am sorry. The nurse should know. It becomes a medical legal issue which is why CZcams is an educational source but as a doctor and professor I have to be very careful with giving out certain information. Many doctors ask me for my laser settings as well which I am not authorized to give on a social media platform as well for liability. My apologies and thank you for understanding.
Is there a treatment that helps a submandibular gland that protrudes after a facelift? It’s been several years so it isn’t swollen. My understanding is that the glands can be injected with Botox to help but I don’t understand how that would work???
I would definitely follow up with the plastic surgeon who performed the surgery to address it. Not botox.
Do you have any affiliates or recommendations for practitioners in the UK? It’s so hard to find things here that you have in the US
I'm sorry I do not :(
