  • Do people ask you if you're tired no matter how much sleep you get? Do you have puffiness under your eyes that you can't get rid of, no matter how many creams you try or facial massages you do? Under eye bags and hollows are a common complaint among patients I see. In this video, we're going to discuss what causes under eye bags and under eye hollows, the role of under eye aging in bags and hollows, and how to rejuvenate the under eyes no matter what age you are.

Not all of you but I'll guarantee most of you have anemia . It's a big contributing factor for dark circles under your eyes . Get your hemoglobin checked to find out if you suffer from anemia . If you are anemic treat it ! If the dark circles don't improve after at least half a year of treatment look into liquid iron supplements. You may have a problem with absorbing the iron . I did and was switched to liquid. Good luck❤

The hard part is most people don’t look into the quality of the red light device. You need to make sure it’s up to the medical specifications. Just because they sell a red light device and show studies claiming all the benefits. Doesn’t mean their device has the same specs as what’s shown in the studies. It’s a loop hole many companies have done to sell products. True devices are extremely expensive but effective. Guess it depends on what your definition of effective is though. Many people expect drastic changes. I noticed a wonderful change in my skin. Better than I expected, but I also don’t have unrealistic expectations :)

I've gotten the hollows in this past year and they make it look like i have bad dark under eyes too. They really bother me. Ive been researching and really don't want to spend money on things that only last a year or 2 and then have them back. So i really think I want to go straight into the undereye surgery and while I'm at it I think i will do the upper eye for the hooded eye too. When I sell my house thats 1 thing I plan on doing for myself. I have always spent most of my time taking care of others since I was a little kid. I lost my husband a year ago after taking care of him being bedridden. I'm taking care of my mom after she hurt her hip. I have taken care of many elderly people and even more kids over the years. I really feel like i deserve to do something that makes me feel good about myself and these hollows make me feel really ugly and old. But I'm not much older than the dr doing these videos. I'm determined to start taking more time for myself.

My concern is with fillers , will they compromise the skins elasticity faster in the way like overstretching spandex?

I noticed my under eyes have gotten worse I have puffy and hollow under my eyes are making me look tired, sick and old. My confidence has gone down, I live in San Antonio Tx, I was hoping you would guide me to see a doctor in my area that I can trust with my concerns. Are all your patients white/ light skin type? Curious because most of your videos recommend laser and energy devices that most professionals say are not good for darker skin tones as it can cause hyper pigmentation... I appreciate that it’s what you’re trained in so you're likely to recommend those procedures.

I have Sjogren's and have been told I shouldn't do it or if I do then for it to be well diluted. The option that I will probably go with is Radiesse. I was told that my body most probably wouldn't fight it because it doesn't cause inflammation to build collagen. Hope this helps.

I still can't believe you are in your late 40's. I am 63 and everyone thinks I'm in my late 40's (which is a good thing) I have never had any surgery or fillers. I am seriously considering them now because I am seeing a lot more lines around my face, especially around my eye area. I am going to save my $'s and hopefully come see you within the next year or 2. Do you have a website for your business that describes the procedures you do along with the cost of each one?

Dr Kappell -- Just had an over the phone consultation with a reputable clinic here in the UK who uses Thermage. They told me the following and I quote when i mentioned what you said about using an intraocular eye shield. "Dr __ is not willing to use intraocular shields with Thermage, she feels as though the risks outweigh the benefits. However, she is very happy to treat up to and around the eye just not eye lids."

I’ll translate: Dr. _____ was never properly trained to insert eye shields and does not feel comfortable using them. Sorry to say this but I want my subscribers to be informed on how things work in aesthetics.

#askthedoc I have under eye hollows, some under eye wrinkles (I am 40) and dark circles towards the inner tear trough. Would an under eye serum/cream that contains caffeine make this worse? I was told that caffeine was only good for puffy under eyes and eye bags but it seems to be in most eye serums and it's confusing. Why would someone with puffy under eyes want to use the same serum as someone with hollows and vice versa?

Dr. Stefani, how do you tell the difference between under eye bag swelling vs. bags from ageing? I started getting bags around my late 30's. The bags have progressively gotten worse and now what started as a tired look now looks like an undiagnosed medical condition. Every doctor that I have had speculates thyroid, liver, allergies. They all say that the bags are swelling. I've heard it all but tests come back normal. I'm 53 and except for these bags my face hasn't really aged very much. No doctor (and there have been many) has been able to help me. I just want to know if it's normal ageing or a health issue.

Eyelid correction operation is not an option because I have blepharitis...what is the best way to lift my eyebrows...dreadlift? Botox or what can I do? If anyone has any suggestions please comment below.
