I have a question about my skin and if it’s safe to do lasers I have Sjogrens A dry skin condition and lupus is it safe for me to get lasers done?!
Someone said they froze their dark spots off as lasers heat the area and may make them worse. What do you think? #askthedoc
Doc please do a video on fotona 4d and your thoughts on it
You are awesome with all the information you provide us!
I have a question,and when i open it i cant find a comment section,i got lentigo maligna its a pretty big spot 5-3 cm,is co 2 a good choice?
I'm sold. I wish i had a dermatologist as knowledgeable, experienced, confident and outreaching close to where I live.
Im sold too 😂
plus all the gadgets which most Derms do not have. If you are lucky maybe 1 laser
Sadly some of the docs on CZcams don’t like lasers and say it is a waste of money is only because they are trying to get us to do a face lift with them or buy their products 🤦♀️ some of us don’t want surgery
Exactly!!! I'd love to hear their lame reasoning for how she looks 20 yrs younger without surgery & only using lasers and other modalities! She is proof they are liars and only saying it for financial gain not to actually empower people with the truth grrrrrr! Pisses me off!
Totally agree with this statement. I just saw a doctor on CZcams the other day say what a waste of money lasers were.
I agreed
Can you say what ones say this?
Microneedling is taking over from lasers because microneedling works just as well as lasers or even better and microneedling is ten times cheaper and even DIY.Penn Smith Skincare and the Budget Dermatologist teach Microneedling on their CZcams channels..
I just recently found your channel and I am so IMPRESSED with all of your videos, honesty, and that you are non-sponsored. Love the fact that you strap on these devices and try the lasers on yourself. You definitely look like you are growing young with all of the videos I have watched. Appreciate all that you are doing and raising children, in practice, and just living life. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much!!
Please keep doing what you’re doing. I can only imagine how challenging it is to post CZcams and see so many patients but you are helping so many people. You have already helped me so much just watching your videos to heal my scars. I’ve done a package of micro needling and you are saving me thousands of dollars and grief. I am now officially done with med spas and only going to doctors or nurses for any medical aesthetics. You are creating a movement of accountability in this space which is so important because people have real valid issues with our skin and we need proper care. I think any aesthetics is not taken seriously but if you have acne scars that in my opinion is a medical issue
I've been waiting for this! Thank you!
Thanks Dr. K!

Dr. Stefani, thank you. What a brilliant video. You conveyed info so effortlessly and helped me sort through the maze in laser skin care for natural rejuvenation. I’m so impressed and empowered by you. What beauty & intelligence! You’ve got a New subscriber. Xo
I was excited to hear you're in Orange County! I live 6 hours away from OC in FL though lol. The good news for me is that I was born and raised in OC, SoCal and I visit 2 or 3 times a year! I'm definitely going to get an appointment to see you next time I'm in town!
Hello Dr. Kappel, I can't thank you enough for your generosity in sharing all of your many years of continued education and experience with all of us! Your expertise and science-based content are invaluable education to all of us who otherwise would get easily lost amidst so much frivolous information. Thank you! And a kind request...on the same note as your comprehensive laser video, would you kindly be able to share any information on the newest UltraClear cold fiber laser? Thank you so much for all you do! And I wish you much health and continued success!❤
Bless your heart Stefani for being a wonderful human being in addition to a healer 💕
You’re describing me which is why I don’t miss a Videos that you make and you have helped me tremendously. It is like you read my mind of what I want you to do and then you come along with all the different lasers because now how do I stack them? Where do I put them? What do you do now? I know I will only get the best provider that’s all I know.
Thanks beautiful, love your videos ❤❤❤.
Oh my goodness, I am so grateful to you Dr. Kappel! Your passion and knowledge is beyond.
You truly are a gift . So informative you educate people so very well. I really wish you were near me. I would come to you all the time. Keep making those wonderful videos I love watching them.💜
WoW! What a wonderful teaching video!I actually took notes and now feel I am so well-educated and have the information necessary to find a laser specialist with all the right credentials to allow me to feel safe and produce the outcomes I am looking for. Thank you for your time, your expertise, and your dedication to your viewers. You are a gem.
Stef, I adore you and have long appreciated your knowledge but I have to emphasize to the population listening that there ARE highly trained and skilled providers in some Med Spas, the one I work at is a prime example. We have a Dr in office nearly all the time, have 3 PAs and 2 extensively trained pico laser techs… obviously everyone should be doing their due diligence but there are great skilled upstanding Med Spas out there if you look!
As usual , doctor Stefanie, so glad that you are on youtube🙏❤️❤️ Your videos are so needed, especially looking at the example, and knowing what procedures you do for yourself, gives us, hope and clarity🙌🙌🙌 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Thank you for your kind words🥰
Well, that was very informative and well worth my time! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. And your comments about not getting hung up on degrees, etc: MD, DO, RN, PA, etc reminded me of a physician's assistant in my area. He is actually better than most of the physicians here. So talking about not worrying so much about degrees, etc is a good thing to point out.
Such valuable information to educate and protect us from damaging our skin. Thank you so much Dr Kappel! 🙏
Another fantastic video. Thank you for educating us!
Thanks for watching!
You are a talking, cyclopedia, smart, and beautiful❤
Great video! Have you any opinions on the newer (I think) UltraClear Laser- especially for microcoring?
Singed up!! Done!! Thanks Dr Kappel for your time and your transparency! When you have time I would like to know what is your point of view of the laser called Endolift the Non Surgical Face Lift and Face Tite Laser. Thanks again!!! :)
Can you do a deep dive on different career paths in aesthetics? I didn’t even realize there was an RN specialty in this field until you brought it up here.
Omg, I have a consultation with Laser Away today. I'm probably going to schedule with you as I am in the area
Here listening to what’s new
You are an amazing, generous, brilliant and beautiful person to put your time and energy into these videos which are truly empowering to patients who require help. My daughter has nevus telangectaticum on one side of her face. I took her to Dr, Laurie Levine in Mineola N.Y. and her treatment helped temporarily. Do you know of any laser specialists in N.Y., Connecticut or even Massachusettes? Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Also, can you do a video on sebacious hyperplasia? As was mentioned in another comment...I truly wish I lived near you. With tremendous gratitude for all you do, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Hi Stephanie! Love all the knowledge you have can you recommend someone in nyc as knowledgeable on lasers for under eyes as you?
My dream is to fly from Germany and come see you, and get your opinion recommendations and possible treatment for all my skin problems. Well...there's ALWAYS hope!
A lot of helpful information! Is there any laser specialist you would recommend in New York?
I had my first laser done a few days ago. I had an Erbium Yag done and also some PRF injected under my eyes. I mainly have some texture, pigment and fine lines I am targeting. I am going through the dry flakey stage right now but cannot wait to see my results. I had done a few different skin resurfacing but never Lasers. You convinced me to go the Laser route this time!
Me too. I had incredible results with IPL about 10 years ago but it sounds like lasers are the better choice now!
I wish you did vistual consults! it would help so much in narrowing down what we need to look for :(
You are treasure, Dr. Kappel! Thank you for sharing this great information! Do you happen to have a colleague in Atlanta area that you would recommend for laser treatments? #askthedoc
Your video is great, very informative. I very much appreciated the effort you put together to make this video. I am 46 this year. Overall my skin texture is great, no acne slightly freckles from sun damage that is my biggest issue. Though the freckles itself not so much but it’s pretty annoying (as you can imagine)
Can I use Laser CO2 on my face as well as décolleté area for rejuvenate as well as improving my skin texture from acne scaring. I hope you can answer my questions... thank you so much xx
May I ask which sunscreen you use?
Mid-forties? You look amazing. I believe those regular treatments (vbeam?),not just a one-off, made the difference. Persistence pays off. But genes count too.
How do you feel about Moxi Lazers? Thanks for all of your knowledge!
I’d love to know what your thoughts are on Fotona 4D doctor. Thank you for all your wisdom 🤗
That was soooo helpful! I always appreciate your knowledge; I wish ND wasn't so far from CA! What are your thoughts on NeoSKin by Aerolase? My options are fairly limited around me (a few hundred miles) in terms of acutal lasers. Thank you!
Such thorough information- thank you! You have just made me reconsider seeing a PS for CO2 under eyes just because he is a PS… going to see how much laser experience he actually has 👍🏻
Doctor would you recommend a fraxel over a sylfirm laser? Thank you❤❤❤❤
I’m always bubbling over w/questions: But you seem to get my mental email and answer my question B 4 I ask it. I appreciate you very much and do have a topic I will share w/you
Soooooo worthy informations, like a gold!!! thank you!
Living in a country where lasers are not so popular, the choice is very poor, we do have Candela Nordlys 1550, your opinion would be? Thank you❤
What do you think of Sylfrim Dr Kappel?😍😍😍😍
New subscriber. ❤ I’m turning 45 in a few days. I’ve always been told I look younger. Now at 45 I’m seeing dulling skin and need a fillers in cheek areas. I have never had any procedures done to my face due to fear of getting the wrong kind of procedures. Are there any recommendations you would suggest to get somewhat of dramatic results. Fillers?treatments? Where do I begin ? 😊 Thank you for your videos!
Can you recommend anyone in NYC for co2 under the eye. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge
Hii, do you recommend Q switch laser to treat lip pigmentation in skin of colour? Please reply
Thank you for such a detailed explanation of lasers. I am dealing with acne (mostly scars but some new breakouts still are coming out every month). I went to a laser clinic in the UK and was advised to use a Regenlite (N-Lite) laser to deal with active spots before we move on to scars (3 sessions, one month apart each). I didn't see you mentioning this laser in the video, and I'd like to know if it's okay or should I run away? #askthedoc
What do you think of the Harmony XL Pro - seems to be marketed as a jack of all trades laser. Is it any good for sunspots?
What about HALO laser? Is that a good choice?? Please make a video about this.🙏🏻
Thoughts on Red Light Therapy?
What is the correct setting in treating melasma using Picolaser? What tip, 1064 or 532? So that i have an idea before i have picolaser done on my face. #askthedoc
What laser is best for eyelids?
What do you think of the newer Ultra Clear Lazer?
#askTheDoc what are your thoughts on BBL Hero? My understanding is that it’s pretty new (relative to the regular BBL) and can have great results for both hyperpigmentation and for collagen promotion.
Is Halo Pro good?
Just finding you. Thank you. 4 weeks ago I had Morpheus8.
Hello Dr. Kappel, I hope you can answer my question, I see a lot of influencers, not dermatologists that are using at home devices, including lasers, all of them mention not to use devices on your neck where your thyroid is, I think one influencer follows the other and says the same thing, I have seen videos of dermatologists performing laser procedures on the neck, and they go all over the neck, even in front of the thyroid. What is your opinion or advice, being a doctor I trust you and since you perform all of these procedures in your clinic, what’s your advice? Should RF, Microcurrent and IPL lasers be used on your neck where your thyroid is? Thank you for your time and your very educative videos ❤
#askthedoc Hi, firstly thank you for your raw and real content ❤ I'm live in Australia 🇦🇺... I have suffered melasma and or pigmentation from a previous ablative laser Tx. Id like to try Pico for these and my freckles also but wondered about Laser Gen and Excel V and Limelight, also for my skin. I'm probably a low Fitzpat 4 due to olive genetics from my swedish ancestory. Thanks so much. ❤
Do you have an opinion on tixel for the eye area?
Hi Dr, Kappel. Which laser is best for boxcar or icepick scars?
If we can’t find someone in our area who does thermafrax, would you recommend doing the thermage FLX and Fraxel dual from two different providers? #askthedoc
Great video and thank you! I just had Fraxel and V-Beam for the first time about 1 month ago. My concern was hyperpigmentation and a little redness. The derm didn't do under my eyes and I was hoping he would after what you've said. On my cheeks, the 3rd pass of Fraxel was unbearable, I think they didn't use enough numbing cream there. My results were ok, but not a lot of difference. I'm almost 64.
I did Fraxel once and didn't notice a big difference either.
Thank you, I was hoping you could recommend a laser specialist in Michigan if you knew of any that are reputable. I've been researching for one since I started watching your videos, but it's all so overwhelming.
Is excel v or v beam better for treating post inflammatory erythema?
I got co2 for under eyes saggy skin and wrinkles. I was red and swollen for 4 days but omg! I skip the plastic surgery. And that beautiful results lasted 3 and a half yeas. Now thinking on getting another one. Last week got Endymed Pro for laxity on my full face, I’m 45 and another OMG all my friends want to get it! I’m happy technology is getting better and better!
CO2 laser resurfacing?? I'm 31 .. can i get it? I don't have fine lines but have saggy skin because that's how my cheeks from th3 beginning...
What are your thoughts on Halo Laser treatment? Is it a legit laser? Looking to treat new sun spots and hyperpigmentation on face, a long with some small wrinkles starting to form.
Would doing quarterly clear and brilliant treatments be equivalent to seeing results from 1 fraxel a year or would you have to do 4 clear and brilliant treatments closer in succession ie every 4 week to 6 weeks?
I am thinking about doing fraxel but I am East Asian and as you said in the video there can be risk of hyperpigmentation. Should I just stick with getting clear and brilliant? Thank you!
