You are the first to ever mention the vessels on neck/chest the piko long French sounding name- LOL many have told me it’s Melasma but it’s what you said when I went to an MD- however he never told me what to do. So thank you! I do have your neck lotion- on week 2! ❤
A wealth of information, thank you! I have so much sun damage on the décolleté area, I can’t wear v neck tops any longer. I grew up using SPF 4, 6 or 8. Skin care active ingredients can only do so much to rectify. Laser treatments are in my future. Prevention is worth a pound of cure… so, frequent SPF applications are a must, for yourself and your children.

Hi Dr Kappel, you are the best, thank you for this channel and for being so honest and open I love you and appreciate you immensely and appreciate your direct but also so kind and just lovely approach in your discussions. As a Florida girl from the age of 13 I have had a lot of sun damage from my youth and now well into my mid 40s I am quite religious about all the things as a Fitzpatrick 2, or 2.5, I think there should be a 2.5 and that would probably be me although with all the sun damage my arm tan just never completely has gone away despite covering up and hiding from the sun so maybe its really a 2. Well, I wanted to ask you if you could talk about HRT and in particular those with risk factors. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and had breast cancer in her mid 50s after having 2 years of HRT so this was in the 90s. Do we have enough studies to disprove that HTR does not place a burden of risk on women for certian cancers, obviously estrogen is important for women's bodies but at what point is taking animal estrogen vs just having to accept the process of aging and working with cosmetic medicine in the best way we can better. What would you recommend for natural ways to boost and maintain our estrogen. I know this is a huge topic. Im in perimenapause, I just want to do the healthiest thing for my body and keep and maintain what health and strength I have in my body for a long as I can, maybe until 100!

Thank you. Off topic question - what is your opinion on avi clear laser for hormonal acne? I’m 43 and it’s gotten worse in the last 6 months. I do not want to take accutane or spironolactone.

@@dressersmith thank you for the suggestion! I do plan to save up for a laser treatment, I’m glad it helped your friend. However after seeing the damage microneedling can do im staying away from that one (some people experience textural damage after!)

I agree that lasers are the best option, but not everyone can afford laser treatments. I have done microneedling treatments that have improved my skin. I would much rather have lasers, but can't afford them.
