One of the main important factors of football is rivalry, and because of that, we are able to let some kind of ''injustice'' being something acceptable so that my team wins and we can make fun of the loosing one, i don't think that injustice is the fun part of the game, but i do think that it is being misused just like the time that takes to check something or even the necessity for the referee to check on a offside cause, cause in a offsde 99% of situations are not interpretative, so a machine could detect it, such as other sports, like Volleyball and Tennis.

  • @sreejithps2566

Just think about it, if the decision is taking more than 2 minutes we can agree it is not a clear and obvious error, so even in a pro var point of view it's counter productive. It should be there to point out near to obvious mistakes. Imo it shouldn't involve in many subjective decisions which will always cause confusion because we now have 2 persons expressing their opinions. And for some decisions we can go all day replaying the footage and still have no conclusion, if there is a confusion always go with the ref's original call. It's not that hard, I think.

It's just a game. The only reason anyone knows what's happening is because there's an agreed upon set of rules. And VAR is a powerful tool for ensuring those rules are accurately enforced, which gives integrity to the game. Even though it's just a game, at this level there's a lot on the line so accuracy matters. VAR fills a hole of referee fallibility.

How is that moment the ball hits the back of the net different from a try in rugby or hitting the winning runs in a cricket match. I get to each their own but the guy acting like that moment is unique to football.

Football is the people's sport. It's brilliant as we all grow up aspiring to be our heroes , recreating our favourite goals with our mates down the park, staying fit and having fun.
The reason it has naturally evolved to be the greatest sport is because of it's simplicity and it is inclusive to everybody, you don't need any special or expensive equipment to play, just a ball at the very least. Kids have played their way out of impoverished slums, kept them away from drugs and crime, and changed their family's life. If we change the sport permanently and make VAR a prominent part of the sport; how can kids play in school? How can the thousands and thousands of amateur teams around the world play? What is the point if it's not the same at all levels?
There is nothing wrong with referees, the sport has worked well for decades, the formula works. No sport needs technology at all, people physically play sport, the only tech needed is to capture the footage so we can all enjoy it. Refereeing decisions have led to the some of the most iconic moments in football, giving the action some drama, making heroes and villains, giving the school playground and workplace some banter as you get one one over on your mates team, giving the sport an interesting narrative at times. Why takes extra drama away from the entertainment? If it gets to point where every decision is perfectly called by a machine and the referees jobs is reduced to just operating software on a tablet from the side of the pitch, then that is going to be so lame and embarrassing.

I agree with VAR in the sense that the concept is nice. I also agree that it's helpful.
I agree with anti-VAR in the sense that VAR could be made better and that it isn't perfect. I also agree that removing emotions from soccie is bad.

it brings peace to the fans, if they something has gone against them early in the game that’s the excuse for the rest of the game, with var if it’s not given it’s a reset for the fans no excuses

At the end of the day, football is a form of entertainment. Anything that adds to the controversy and overall discussion is welcomed. And at the end of the day, we will still feel the same emotions and passions for the beautiful game.
