    As the previous person has asked. A list would be great for people wanting to Price out a build. It would also be great knowing that the list of parts will work since it came from an expert rotary builder.

    Downdraft is what I am doing but the rx8 ida manifold is no longer made and racing beat no longer sells the adapter. Jdlmfg makes them but takes a long time to get it and out of stock constantly. (I have everything for the down draft setup took months to get it all tho)

      it was already done multiple times; they never equalled let alone exceeded the best blueprinted OE Renesis engines, id addition to lacking the powerband width that Mazda designed into the multi-stage intake. That’s the key to the entire Renesis engine design and performance.

    How would this be with a turbo? I always wanted to try a turbo and the wast gate on the rx8 end plates and the turbo hooked up to the gsl-se housings.

    • @VictorMPR
      @VictorMPR Před 3 měsíci

      Kyle was selling the flange to make a custom manifold… not sure if he still does. So yes, it would need to be custom made.

      If thats true, then I wonder if you could get a tune set up via versatune? I assume it would need one, but at the same time since the difference is exhaust, maybe its not necessary🤔🤔

  • @holdenhartley1837
    @holdenhartley1837 Před 3 měsíci

    Is there a reason we’re not really seeing these in RX’s? What are the complications stopping people from doing this to their standard renesis setups? I guess, is there some sort of lack of support or complexity I’m not understanding?

    • @VictorMPR
      @VictorMPR Před 3 měsíci

      This is also what I keep coming back to. If this is such a “hot rod” setup… why aren’t RX-7 owners doing it? Why wouldn’t everyone want to go with this setup. Kind of like people realized the LS and K20/K24 engines are the ticket to easy power, this setup should have taken off likewise.

    • @thatcornfedrx8guy372

      @@VictorMPRthe problem with this setup is that there is not enough back pressure for NA builds turbo yeah but the problem is it wouldn’t have great torque

    • @VictorMPR
      @VictorMPR Před 3 měsíci

      @@thatcornfedrx8guy372 I think you are confused. The lack of back pressure should be a great benefit for N/A. Turbos have some inherent back pressure because there is obviously something in the way of the exhaust gases simply exiting the cylinders.

  • @ultimatejay
    @ultimatejay Před měsícem

    In this configuration, why not just block off the REnesis side exhaust ports and just use the two Exhaust PPorts so you don't have to make a custome exhaust manifold. The REnesis exhaust ports sucked anyways.

  • @nobodyspecial5026
    @nobodyspecial5026 Před 3 měsíci

    again, I’m challenging you directly; what is it going to cost to put this on a dyno in NA form and put an end to theory and talk to instead have actual results? I’m only asking you to live up to your own words and claim from Dec. 2022?
    I’ll at least credit you for backtracking in this video against my previous claims about the components and performance reality that can’t be ignored when moving a Renesis engine from the original no-overlap port timing design into now dumping all the port overlap timing into it that this modification creates. Kudo’s for that.
    Because a turbo will make up for a multitude of errors that can’t be easily overcome in NA form.
