All I wanna say is that this video saved my car. 2008 grand Cherokee with nag1 trans. Transmission shop said "You have the mercedes transmission and it's shot, you need a new trans, or I can get you a rebuilt one for 3 grand NOT INSTALLED".... I ran my codes and got the trans speed input sensor code, researched Alot of videos and came across this one. I thought what the heck, it's worth a shot. Followed this video to the finest detail and got my trans working properly. Was getting stuck in 3rd gear, not going over 40 miles per hour and bucking when trying to go faster. Now it's silky smooth. This video saved me from dumping my car. I can't thank you enough. Cheers!!!!!!!

    Some key points:
    1) Changing the filter and fluid will not hurt this transmission. You must use ATF+4 fluid, and do not add "friction modifiers". Use the correct dipstick, and the refill is accomplished by using the chart that shows fill level by transmission temperature.
    2) The A580 requires a relearn procedure after servicing.
    3) Check your shift cable(s) for excessive bushing wear. Replace as necessary.

Finally a video that helps me with my problem!!!! My 2014 Chrysler 300 has been slipping bad. Traction control turns off and slips into neutral when coming into a full stop sometimes. Been considering taking this problem to a transmission shop but after watching this video I really hope this will fix my problem.

2007 Dodge Charger SRT8, just replaced this after having issues randomly getting stuck in 3rd or 4th gear then suddenly got stuck in 1st, and code ran p2767. Replaced this all by myself with the help of this video. 200 dollars maximum in parts, all off amazon, quoted 900 to fix at mechanic, just saved myself 700. Thank you man i appreciate it. 17 yrs old btw this was my first car project besides for changing oil. If i can do it, you can!

Hi, I find this video very informative and professionally done. It is a great help and brings together a proper understanding of the error code. Proving links to purchase parts and listing which tools and other items are needed to do the repair is just a huge plus. This shows that you not only know your stuff but take pride in what you do. I have to say this and it is not a reflection on the video but in general, all the videos that I have watched many videos regarding maintenance and repairs of the Dodge Nitro and most if not all only focus on the gasoline engine types rightfully so most videos comes from the USA. Very little info is known about the diesel version, 2.8 CRD AWD the owner's handbook doesn't provide much info either. Through this video, I learned that the diesel version has the same transmission as the gasoline so that is a good spin-off. Once again thank you for a very good presentation.

@@FixCarYourself I had code P1705 and P0730 for my dodge challenger which is related to input speed sensor 2 overspeed and incorrect gear ratio. I've managed to follow your video all the way up to removing the valve body. I've ordered a new conductor plate and waiting for that to come in. I'm really hoping that after this repair is done, my transmission problem will go away. The input speed sensor is not necessarily the problem, but I'm just going to replace it anyway and hope that it was it. I know the mechanic would charge an arm and a leg for something like this so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll let you know how it goes! I've liked and subscribed. Thanks again!

Will failure in any of the solenoids cause the car to stall and turn off at about 30 mph? I'm chasing a stalling issue. No check engine code. Smooth running motor and trans. Just a simple stall want to rule out solenoid issue.

    • @FixCarYourself
