Man, and I just bought a chair! 😅
This is strictly motherboard manufactures messing up- im running 14th gen and just did a minor adjustment w a voltage and still maintained w out performance loss. I have not seen freezes or anything since. Hope it stays that way. running @ 57x on p - cores or 55 depending on what games i play. Some old games dont like more then 5.5ghz

So Intel finally addresses their board partners basically overclocking their CPUs out of the box. I'm pretty sure most people didn't want their 14900k going past 253w anyway.
Yeah these motherboard manufacturers owe people some CPUs and some people some money.
I hope their 15th gen is something entirely different.
Well without these overclockings the the 13900k is faster than the 14900k, in the synthetic tests shown in the video😂
i actually like my i7 12700k doing it on my h670 board, if i turn it off it runs at like 4.3 ghz all core and that sucks. But I could see how it would be too damn much woltage and heat on 13 and 14th gen.
I was upset about Netflix password sharing because I freeloaded from my parents account, but recently they gave up on Netflix entirely to pay for other services like Spotify. I don't think I'll be giving my money to Netflix anytime soon.
Why do people pay for shit you can get free on the internet
@@dannyking4138 Pirating isn't all sunshine and rainbows
The Netflix thing worked for now, but i imagine that if they don't reinvest those funds into good original content, more and more people are going to wake up and realize Netflix isn't the one stop video store type experience that it used to be and start cancelling their memberships.
Don't mind wrinkles at all in clothing, but if needed, most dryers have a wrinkle guard function if using their moisture sensor. The way it works is when the clothes are almost fully dry, it turns off the heat, then air drys the rest of the way, the when the temperature of the clothing reaches room temperature or lower, it stops tumbling. This stops wrinkles from getting baked in, as the clothes are kept moving until dry and cool.
I would love it if Sapphire would bring more products to the US. I am a huge fan of their graphics cards and would like to do an all Sapphire build.

I honestly don't care about wrinkles, i always found it amusing how so many people get bothered by it saying it makes someone look messy. Never understood it, but i grew up not caring about that sorta thing, so..
It's always have to be Asus. They exploded AMD CPUs and nerfed Intel CPUs.
Yaa
@15:20 better tip for the lazies like Brett and I. put the wrinkly unfolded clothes in the dryer with a damp towel or clothing item just before you want to wear it that day and it irons itself and is warm when you put it on. also good for when you forget the entire load in the dryer
If sapphire made a x570 when I built my current system I would have gone with them. Hopefully they will release a x670 or equivalent motherboard when I have to upgrade
I feel like the big drive for VR has stagnated. Even with Meta coming out with a new VR headset every year or two. what collab I'd like to see, rather than Asus and Meta come out with a green and black headset, is something like a Meta and Steam collab where it takes the best innovations of both. Sharing R&D is a win-win !
Speaking of physical media... while I was shopping for some Christmas gifts last year, I ran across some new albums that were being sold digitally, on vinyl and CD's, and there were some that were being sold on, get this....... cassettes. Of all the physical media to make a comeback I think I could have only been more surprised if they brought back 8-Track. I kinda' get it, I grew up in the 80's and listened to a lot of music on cassettes, and there's some nostalgia there, but I'm surprised people would want to listen to new music on such a deficient format.
Yeah, I remember those days too, and there's a great reason cassettes didn't make it: Even though tape did reach the digital world in Tape drives, as DAT in the Pro Audio space, and in digital cameras... it has problems with it's low heat tolerance and can stretch under tension, it's susceptible to magnetic fields, then you have the poor mechanics that can lead to a reel or capstan getting stuck but the other one keeps moving and then the tape gets mangled....🤬 and as time goes by they sound shittier and crappier! Even rewinding with the time it takes is so much a thing of the past! I cherished my vinyl way more than tape, and only got cassettes like from bands promoting their new stuff, or used when there was no other format, but given the choice, cassettes vs CD or Vinyl, cassettes were always last, and then only after I looked around better but couldn't find a CD or Vinyl. Cassettes (the bottom of the tape barrel) never had any real redeeming quality to begin with.😐
A lot of poor people still drive old cars that only take tapes still
@@My_Old_YT_Account First, if that were the reason, they would have never stopped making them on cassette. Two, there are adapters to run a CD player or play music off your phone. That has nothing to do with it.
@@Bob-of-Zoid Don't forget that they're recorded at such a low speed to maximize length, so the quality is garbage in the best of conditions. Unlike reel to reel, where you could record at seven times the speed and the sound quality was actually good.

@UFDTech I still have a brand new, not opened up 14700k and a Z790 Aorus Master MB, with all these issues going on is it even worth opening and using or just return it and see what the new Core Ultra 200 will be in a few months or so from now? Brett is 100% right on Intel's Thunderbolt. Even Wendel specifically states that when Thunderbolt is used on AMD it is called "PCIe Tunneling" and not Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt is a trademark of Intel and when Intel released the Thunderbolt 3 spec to USB4 they only got the underlying technology and NOT the name.

I recently changed mine. No issues with normal gaming and use cases, it's when you are doing decompression or all core tasks that it would crash. So I recently adjusted mine too. Temp spikes went down more than 20 C which is insane. Never had thermal throttling nor did I hit 100 C but crashes would occur anyway. Unfortunately, I crashed even at 253 and had to adjust ICC to 307A and now my CPU won't even go above 200 W. Still same fps in games though (of course, doesn't use all core).

Here goes, thunderbolt is an intel product, but your operating system uses amd64 bit even when on Intel. All the tech that everyone needs can keep it's name, and creators, but doesn't mean only they have the rights.
I’m a truck driver and I watched Netflix on the tv in my truck and I drive all over the country. The first time I had to jump through hoops so I could watch on my tv I cancelled Netflix. Their only solution was to watch on a tablet or my phone. That was BS especially since I don’t watch when I’m at home and the only device I was using to watch was my tv.
I had an RTX 2060 KO. It had a dumbed down 2080 die on it. Steve from gamers Nexus did a CZcams video on that particular card. It had some interesting performance abnormalities. good marketing strategy, release CPUs heavily overclocked from the factory, so you get the good looking score numbers at the release, get more hype, more people buying it, after few months those CPUs are getting unstable from running so hard so you gotta lower the clocks, loosing performance lmao
Intel is saying from the starting to use the i9 at their rated power of 253W but mobo manufacturers mainly Asus are pushing them
Sapphire having their signature pulse and other GPUs. Never understood why they never made mobos and cases to match the aesthetic. It's finally happening I guess lol
@15:15. You can buy completely new gameboys all new hardware chips, cases etc. The chips are FPGA or you can reuse the gameboy chips and solder to all band new hardware. Tito from Macho Nacho Just did a video on this the GBA in particular. Actually Russ from Retro Game Core just did one too on the OG Gameboy mod vs the Analogue Pocket vs FPGA GB. And while I'm at it it'd be a shame not to mention Elliot from the Retro Future who's entire channel is devoted to only gameboys lol, and that time he was on My Strange Addiction for eating soap and collecting GB's. The gameboy mod community is huge.

Just set your wattage to 253 as is advertised. MSI boards has it for unlimited, but it sends it throttling immediately.
its not about the wattage...in gaming, your cpu instabilitys dont come from total wattage, but from way too high voltage when boosting up from lower clock speeds
I think Netflix next move should make everyone have two accounts that will also make their profits go up.
no usb-c internal (for the case from) on the sapphire mobo = huge fail... other than that is looks "decent" but that one thing = no go for me
Apple taking L's is the most satisfying thing to hear.
And I'm saying that as someone who owns Apple devices.
I was pleasantly surprised by Kyler's vid. I nearly clicked off when I realized it was him presenting but it seems that prepared-content Kyler is entirely different. It works considerably better for viewers which dislike the scattered interjections and such. Not trying to sound negative here. Very much the opposite.
Netflix password sharing restrictions aren't super bad. I thought it was going to be much worse. If my girlfriend logs in, occasionally I'll have to send a code, but almost never. Probably only a problem if you got lots of people on your account like more than 6, but then you will hit the screen limit which I would think would make the password sharing thing a moot point.

Serious question:
I dont own or use any of the intel 14th gen stuff, but I need to ask- does this whole debacle mean that the 14700 is still the GOAT of the 14th gen lineup?

Yes, some of us understand that its "Intel technology" because all modern x86 (and yes x86_64) are Intel technology- or in some way founded from Intel tech.

First Ryzen CPUs blowing up, now Intel CPUs being unstable, ASUS does it again!
It wasn't just them in either case, this time they were actually the first company to push BIOS updates with the single button Intel defaults. I have an MSI board and have had these issues.
The problem here is that Intel has the suggested settings, but also doesn't want to force board makers to default configurations because it would make them look worse in reviews.
@@sahara8771and for Ryzen CPUs?...
I know of people personally who have been Intel loyalists in the past exclusively because of how much more stable and less bug-prone their platform has been. I think that if the only way to keep the chips stable😮 now is to nerf them, then this would probably be the nail in the coffin for many. Like bro, seriously, Intel CPUs have become unstable just because of the 4096W power limit? Like any normal motherboard would handle it, and I don't get why you would even overclock the i9 for example in the first place, it just does wonders at 253W
The issues is not Intel's CPU but motherboard BIO's that overvolt a few areas way over limit that are causing crashes and issues. Plain and simple.
My13900k Asus z790 Hero 32gb ram 7800mhz Artic Freezer II 360 and it runs smooth running P cores @ 5.5 Ghz with not problem or game crashes at all with average temps of 70c. All of this volting PL1/2 to 253 watts is a crock. Intels CPU's can be overclocked to run awesome for hours of heavy gaming and not by running it into ground by testing it on Prime95 etc.

When you're talking about the 13900k and 14900k and what's the incentive to buy over AMD thanks to the "fix" to make them more stable and losing performance why not talk about the argument for or against upgrading from a 12900k? As far as gaming goes those chips have about a 0-3% overall performance increase over 12900k which is negligible at best and if you have to lower specs to make them stable I'd be willing to bet it's just a moot point.

How many are running a game at 720. Great you lost 15 or so fps at 720, maybe 7? at 1080, and probably 1 or 2 at 1440 and zero above that. And I am being generous in regards those losses since chances are the tests may have been done with a 4090, what means that for most users the loss of fps at 1080 or higher will be in margin of error. There are no games pushing 200 watts + at 1080. 0ne needs to specifically lower to 720 and couple the system with a top graphic card to get 200+ watts consumption on games. and if anyone buys a 14900, or 14700 or 7800x3d to run at 720, they have massive brain issues. in fact i was reading hardwareluxx article in german, and they even say , and this as a close translation as my german allows, "once within the gpu limit there will be no noticeable difference". And therefore for a very large segment of the market, there is no actual change.
