Hello everyone! Sorry for the prolonged absence. Unfortunately, it’s going to last even longer, as between classes, work, and interning, I have no free time anymore. These are some clips I’ve been sitting on for a few weeks that I thought were worth uploading, so I’ve made this little montage since I had some spare time to edit this. Like I said, I’ll probably be barely active on CZcams in the next few months, and again, sorry.

Unexceptable how dare you think school is more important than yt idmdisnxodd no dkdkdkndosksskskskslskslszkkz 😂
@Kinography could you do some hidden blade combat
@@seven1484 maybe
@@kinography9085 thanks
This first game's combat is arguably my favorite. So many attacks like breaking legs, power attacks, the ability to throw knives with the dagger, grab break, defense break, all abilities that were either removed or altered in the sequels, retain a sort of impact in this first game that is unequalled. AC I's combat is still amazing and satisfying to pull off, and I have played Revelations and AC III, the two of which have great fighting as well!
AC1’s hit feedback is just unmatched
no shock and awe in sight. Just people living in the moment
Who needs Shock and Awe anyway?
I really liked the balancing between the weapons with the hidden blade one shooting everything if timed correctly
Yess
For how old this game is, it's gameplay has aged well. Sniping enemies with knives or countering an enemies attack with the stealth blade and causing a chain reaction of easy kills is so fun. Gonna miss this game, just gotta get the conversationalist achievement and I'll be moving onto ac2
The combat system, besides a few issues, has aged very, very well
the worst part about this game is definitely the audio compression. if they ever remaster it they definitely have to do something about that
Fighting in this game is very fun. It’s simple, but it has layers to it to help you be more stylish while fighting. AC2’s biggest disappointment was downgrading this combat system.
AC2 certainly lacks some of the punch and the oomph of AC1, but it does have more depth and nuance that would certainly help you be stylish than meets the eye. Maybe I’ll make an AC2 combat video eventually
@@kinography9085 I look forward to it!
Also the social stealth (streamlined) & Assassins vs Templars narrative
I never understood AC2's combat
I feel like their is so little people who plays ac1 as offensively like this, most would just wait for a counter kill making the fight look like a staring competition or something, no dislike to the ones who plays like that of course, you can play however you want, but still, when I look up an ac1 combat video, it's mostly just counter kill combat.
I love looking for the opening animations for a free hidden blade kill. Either someone scared by their friends dying or rallying their allies.
Yes, Shock and Awe is really fun in AC1
After learning to time my attacks, I have come to appreciate the system for what it is. This is just me but it reminds me a little bit of the 2D Prince of persia with the timing & exchanging blows.
Yeah, it’s a pretty fun system
This is really a great video. The atmosphere of this game along with your creativity makes this more amazing !
Thanks Gaming King!!
One of the few AC combat systems, I actually enjoy using, timing combo kills feels really satisfying, enemies get touch later on so there's a bit of challenge and an incentive to run and hide, I just wish Altair was a bit less tanky
There are some cases where damage is unavoidable, so I think some health is necessary. It’s still way too much lol
At first, I thought this was Assassin’s Creed II. I LITERALLY JUST got back into that game, because I bought Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered yesterday. NEVER played the first one, but I did watch my uncle play it.
If you can, you should play AC1. It’s a great game. I also have a guide series on its stealth and a guide about its combat on my channel too, if you’re interested
I usually go to the fortress' entrance in Acre (where you assassinate William de Monferrat) just to go on a killing spree of guards in combat, it's really fun
Very fun
True I was a guard kino killed me by slicing me like butter….. so smooth
He’s right, I was there
@@kinography9085 same I was there to
Altair animations were like conor in my opinion
Uniqe and beutifull
PLEASE MAKE A COMBAT GUIDE PLAYLIST FOR AC1 AND THE EZIO TRILOGY!
Yes indeed
This video is like ASMR. 😅
Yeah its my fav system too
hit feedback galore
TRUE!
Idk why the feedback in the new games is so bad. I need to watch in slowmo or something to break it down. I think it's because the animations on the player's end don't have direct animations on the enemies end, just generic staggers
That sounds like a good theory
4:30 just 😙😙😙
I do hope they bring this combat system back from mirage but have the enemy be alot more aggrieve to the point we're tou feel overwhelmed if they are more then 3 enemies
I doubt they would bring something like this back, but a few queues from this system would be nice tbh
@@kinography9085 what I would really like to see something on the line Ac1 combat but more aggressive but with Unity ability to use more then one tool at a time with Ac1-brotherhood parkour with ac4 whistle mechanic
If they bring back the combo system, they need to eliminate the counter kill. This series struck a satisfying balance with its combat in Syndicate. That's my hot take.
@@jeremy123577Unity parkour needs to return man
Perfect combat system for AC series. Should have improved upon it with more aggressive and varieties of enemies.
True
Very satisfying clips
Thank you!
Lets watch this again
Something i like to do is switching to the hidden blade when one of the higher tier soldiers/templars are giving commands. You can quickly assassinate them. The same thing works if a lower tier soldier is showing fear.
Yup, Shock and Awe. I know about it, I just wanted to stick to the normal, as-intended combat system for the purposes of this video
Kinography, agree with the title
Lol thank you!
Nice gameplay and thumbnail man !
Thanks!
I always hated how Ezio kept his dagger right next to his sword like why not wear it like Altair
I do kind of prefer Altair’s knife sash
they need to go back to this style of combat only enhance it
Yes
God I wanna do things to this game
If there’s any good that would come out of a remaster, it’s you doing the madman shit you pull with other games with AC1
Quick question but when u do the counter at 5:38 is there any incentive to not go for the follow up break legs you do but instead go for the sword or dagger finisher kills (the ones where u stab their gut or skull with the respective weapons)? Just asking as I’ve always wondered whether each have their own strengths/weaknesses
They both neutralize the enemy. I just like the leg breaks, they’re satisfying
I just recently discovered in earlier, after I found of its existence, I tried using the head button and the unarmed button, in which the unarmed button just grabs the enemy which is understandable, but when I thought of the head button, I immediately thought Altair was gonna head but the guy or something but unfortunately, it did nothing.
4:30 & 5:00 were awesome
Thanks!
Personally, I found the counter kill to break the game too much in the first few entries leading up to Unity, and found myself loving the blend of the parry system from Unity with the combo system in Syndicate. It's by far the most fleshed out and nuanced combat across the series imo, but I appreciate AC1 for getting the ball rolling.
Sure, but unfortunately, Unity is ridiculously sluggish with massive amounts of input lag and Syndicate is cartoon slapstick. Probably the most nuanced system in this series is AC2 because of how it handles spacing, defense breaking, timing and spacing
@@kinography9085 I can agree to that, but only if I handicap myself by refusing to use the counter kill throughout my playthrough. In fact, I think I'll replay it and do just that. I might just love the game even more.
@@perspicacioussimpleton7288 I might make an AC2 combat video to prove my point at some point. Maybe not soon, but look out for it
@@kinography9085 awesome!
@@perspicacioussimpleton7288 why tho? in ac 1 & 2 not every counter is a guaranteed kill unless ur using the hidden blade which has a much smaller counter window.
Iplayed ac1 too much that altair being cold about everything and that he is angry is getting into me
Nice😂
4:30 hehe
all I see is facts

What are your thoughts on mirage
Looks interesting! Waiting for gameplay though
@@kinography9085 good to know, im also waiting for the gameplay quiet skeptical about the overall gameplay knowing it was an idea coming out from valhalla as a DLC then becoming it's own game, btw what do you think about the combat of the older games as compared to unity onward?.
@@balab1622 I much prefer the older games. Although the rpg games probably have more depth just by virtue of being hitbox systems
@@balab1622 Also, as according to developer interviews, the idea of Mirage as a Valhalla DLC survived only for a few weeks and had no actual work done on it until it was decided it would be its own game. Hopefully that reassures you a bit
Ac is simple and effective
Ayup
I just started replaying the game yesterday and I love the combat so much but it’s sort of hard trying to get the timing of the hidden blade counter and the combo kill right 😅
Just takes some practice. My advice for the hidden blade counter is move backwards while enemies attack, makes the timing a little easier
