Good video, was able to replace vvt actuator without disconnecting rear sensor or removing alternator. If you get the manifold loose you can get under the intake manifold and replace the solenoid. Make sure to be careful with gaskets!

I replaced the stock alternator, serpentine belt and battery on my 2012 RAM 1500. Those myriad tangle of plastic connectors to various sensors are very sensitive and tricky. The plastic can be brittle and crack easily!! You need to be super careful to reconnect them correctly and tight or the engine will not start!! I would use a di-electric (blub) grease when refitting the sensor connectors. Good video, big job well done!

You are amazing. Thank you so much. Going to get started on this job now as I’m getting oil from the PCV valve leaking down the back of the block. I’m sure I’ll start checking air and get a lien code. If I don’t get to it truck is 10 years old with 50,000 miles to the age that got me.!

Close to or 100,000 miles plus I would change the injectors especially DIY people. I used dish washing detergent and hot water very warm water on a LH concorde. Changed everything but the injectors and changed all mounted sensors. I don't envy y'all at all very good video. Also, replaced Throttle body and sensors.

Very good video. Just wanted to add you do not need to pull the alternator for this job and also be careful of the plug on the idle motor on back of intake. Recently did one of these because customer concern was oil leak on the back right side of engine. Little did I know someone had there hands in it previously and broke the plug on idle motor and forgot to put the gasket for pcv box in so it was leaking out of intake manifold..

After you got the red lock off of that PITA connector on the back of the manifold, is there anything to squeeze before the connector will pull off?

Does the intake manifold control valve require a green seal?

Great video....if someone else is doing this job loosen the clamp at the throttle body, go over to the air cleaner remove the hose , pull straight up on the whole housing it comes out that easy, i have to remove and replace mine each year for the visual inspection when I have my aftermarket intake on there.

Good video. Snappies on the cowl wanting to take a dive into the block.. made for a tense few moments. Isn't it nice when you do everything including pulling the valve cover to find a misfire and realize it's a manifold gasket leak? Okay? 😂
