    I bought a kia soul 2018 last year with 62 k miles
    Had the oil changed at the dealer last week and was told the dipstick did not show oil mark. They could not figure out what was going on. I googled it and found out it could be a dirty pcv valve and here I am watching this video. I'm gonna replace it tomorrow. Thanks!

    Well done again. If I can offer a suggestion, you show part number on the couple of videos I have watched but those only pertain to that one brand. If you have the ability to provide a list of the most frequently used brands and their part numbers that would be the only improvement your videos and subscribers could ask for. I bet your local parts supplier would do that for you just to for the price of a mention. Cheers

    Thanks for the video!! I just purchased a used 2012 Soul 2.0l. Useful info, listing symptoms. I'm experiencing misfires, from what I can tell. Happens more so when in gear, but it isn't constant rough idling...seems like a misfire. Check engine light just came on. I'm going to replace the PCV valve followed by replacing the plugs. Hopefully that works.

      @@poochiew.9302 replacing the plugs and PCV valve did nothing. What fixed the misfiring was installing new ignition coils, which cost me about $100 for 4 (always replace all 4 at once) from Amazon. Very easy fix. Bought it with 155k, now has over 180k kms... haven't had any engine issues since.

    The Soul and Sportage especially burn oil. In fact they had to settle with the US government giving a lifetime warranty. If your red engine light goes on or a code shows up in the instrument panel, immediately take it to your KIA dealer.

    Thank you for giving the Kia Soul some love. PSA: drain & fill the transmission oil every 50K at the dealership or reputable independent shop. Mind you, if its been 100K without a fluid change, talk to a professional.

      I agree. I bought a 2019 model with 44K miles on it and there's a very rough downshift problem when slowing down, coming to a stop. I'm going to do a full transmission flush, hoping it solves it. I'll know soon if this was a good deal or not. I know other owners reported the same problem and got it fixed by having the transmission control module being reset but sometimes the problem would come back. Other reports just say this is a Kia transmission problem out of the factory, a problem with even new or 5000 miles, just not known for smooth shifting... I'll see.

    • @notsofast2325
      @notsofast2325  Před 2 lety +4

      i change my plug regularly ( 40 to 50,000 miles ). For better MPG , well i would check your air on your tires, the type of gas you use, make sure your not carrying extra cargo weight, PVC valve , air filter, don't by cheap plugs, make sure you have good plug wires, and make sure your on top of your oil changes . and you have good tire alignment. There are some additives you can use to make sure your injectors are clean. hope this helps.
