You might have mentioned that there are other recharge kits with longer hoses. Your Soul was the perfect example of a remote location that you could barely reach.
I’m in Nevada and I totally needed this lesson
Glad I could help!
You explain it really clear, step by step. And Thank you very much..very helpful.👍
Your welcome..
omg! this is perfect ill be trying it out on my 2013 kia soul
did it work
I wanted to see the items I needed thanks for the help so detailed I love it
You are so welcome!
Wow sir your video save me a lot of cash today....
Your welcome.
Same here, guy was just gonna charge me $200 for something I just did on my own for under $50
Check on the underside of the hood for the proper hose and recharge can. We have a 2018 Kia Soul and it's requires a 1234yf kit. 134a won't be the right one for some 2018s.
Thanks for your input
great info, but what do you do with the excess 134a that you didn't use?
save it. or charge someone else's car.
Great Vid. This is probably a stupid question but the car still has to be running with AC on high while youre doing the recharge right?
Its not a stupid question, Yes your correct.
@@notsofast2325 thanks brother.
What's off pin is out more or more in?
How can PSI reading be in red which is a high PSI warning and AC hasn't blown cold air in months??
great video.. thank you for what you do.
Thank you very much. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for showing how exactly to connect the coupling end of the hose. Not everyone knows or has experience in connecting airlines or whatever u said. That was literally the only thing I was needing to see because the hose end seems too big to fit but of course thats the 1 part u leave out. 🤦🏻♀️
Listen to the vocabulary
Very good direction, thank you
Thank you!
Thank you for the help!
you're welcome!
very good style to to teach
Thank you! It makes it all worth while when I hear comments like this!
For a 2018 Kia soul it’s 144 for the kit
thanks for your input
Excellent video, thx. W'd the procedure and the materials (R134a gauge and can) be the same if like me you own a later Kia Soul model? Mine is the 2018 diesel 1.6 MAXX CRDI.
Yes, but you can double check with a auto part store. Good luck.
Excellent instructions thank you
Thank you.!!
by any chance could you possibly do a video on how to change a AC Blower motor in the 16 soul
Oh man ! if its anything like my cadillac , I hope i don't have to do that again. Tell you what i'll "look" at mine and get back to you.
I am in the same boat
Do you know where you can buy that charging hose with gauge ?
I got mine at Autozone. You can find them on line.
@@notsofast2325 ok thank you
You’re the best thank you!!!
thank you!
Side note, R134a is NOT Freon (a brand name from its creators) altho it is a newer formulation with the same purpose..... The brand new cars use an even newer formulation...
Great thanks.
One thought for another video, if you know how to do this is cleaning the interior seats. I got my Kia used and I tried a bunch of things to clean up the seats. Any thoughts beyond the usual upholstery and carpet cleaners would be appreciated.
yes i do, do you have a wet and dry shop vac? watch my upcoming video.
will this work with a 2012 kia soul?
any Kia with a 1.6L engine.
will try this week in 2021!!!
so COOL. thanks, Boss
Your welcome. Thanks for stopping by
I just could not get the hose to clamp on the L valve
Thanx, Sir.
your welcome !
What do you do with the can iif it still has pressurized gas in it? ho do you remove it from the gauge without it leaking everwhere.
no you leave the hose on.
Thank you so much
your very welcome.
I put a can of coolant without using a pressure gauge. Now my AC is blowing hot air.... help
You probably put in to much.
I have a 2014 soul, Coolant ran out, tried adding more, I could not get the compressor to come on, Might be too low on coolant, any way of jumping the compressor to kick on so i can fill it, ?
first i would look on youtube and learn how the system works. 1- how did you know the refrigerant was low? 2- Are you using a gauge to see if its was low. first before you put anything in? there are many reasons why your compressor will not kick on . If you use a gauge , you can see how much you will need . if you don't have enough the compressor will not turn on. Or you may have a bad pressure sensor. or worse yet a bad compressor. Its a simple system ( if you want to learn) or you can take it to a AC tech and he will tell you what is wrong. If you put to much ,the compressor will still kick on but wont get cold. But yours is not kicking on ... I would make sure you have the right amount of refrigerant first. Good luck.
Thank u so much
Your welcome, thanks for stopping by.
Does the car
How many cans of 134a can this car take? Anyone?
Here you go.

The compressor light goes off and on in my kia sedona and the ac stops blowing cold air. At times the ac runs good. I'm confused help!
Check to see if you have the right amount of refrigerant. If it's low it may do that.
Thank u

Is it time to recharge the AC if my 2012 Kia is Reving up to 1.5 rpm whenever the AC is on?
When the engine is put under a load by the AC system, the car’s computer automatically attempts to compensate for that by adjusting the idle. If there is carbon buildup within any part of the system, including the idle air control valve, throttle body, or possibly even the EGR valve, it can cause surging. The car’s computer essentially miscalculates the amount of power necessary, and ends up overshooting, leading to a surging engine.
Any problem with the AC system can also exacerbate this condition. For instance, if the system is low on refrigerant, the compressor will kick on more often, causing the surging to increase in frequency (if not in intensity).
Common reasons for this to happen=Carbon Buildup=A number of engine components are subject to carbon buildup over time, and this can place a significant load on the engine. When the additional load of your AC compressor is added, it causes the computer to miscalculate and increase idle speed too much. Common sources of carbon buildup include the, AC valve, the EGR valve, and the throttle body. Low Refrigerant in the AC System,Failing AC Compressor,Bad Belt: Bad AC Cycling Switch, Overfilled AC System. I would check all these systems. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks sir
no problem, glad you stopped by.
Appreciate u
This is very bad, and wrong way. First you need to remove air and humidity from that hose. You better don't put the can upside down because you put liquid instead of gas in the low side. Is not good to add gas without checking high side.
thanks for your input
I love you
Lol.. thank you!!
You are amazing, thank you so much.
Thank you very much!
@@notsofast2325 Question, though... could I use an R-1234yf hose with the R-134a can? That's all stores seem to be selling now
R134a and R1234yf are similar, however, R1234yf was created as a more environmentally friendly replacement to R134a. The biggest difference between the two is that R1234yf is mildly flammable and does require special handling. Diagnosis of the air-conditioning system can be done in the same way as with R134a
. Can you mix R1234yf with R134A? The answer is yes, it will. This makes it simple. Service shops can stock one product, PN 702, and use it for any vehicle, whether it uses R-134a or R-1234yf. It doesn't get any easier than that, and everyone likes it easy! the answer is yes.
